- reflex768, on 04/07/2008, -23/+211Jesus, MBM. That is an incredibly powerful story. Something I'd have never read elsewhere too. Thanks.

- dman24752, on 04/07/2008, -8/+25You know, this story seems to have a few holes in it. For one thing, why the hell is this guy still talking to his brother if the brother molested the sister? For another thing, why the hell didn't they call the police when she was raped? I think that if this story is true, then it's incredibly unfortunate and that woman deserves some serious help, but otherwise I'm really disturbed by the stories that are made up to attack our First Amendment Rights. Linda Syndrome, anyone?
- DeathfireD, on 04/07/2008, -3/+16I think it may be a different brother. If not then he must have gotten his life straightened out. It doesn't sound like the author knew or had any proof that his brother molested her. Thats probably the only reason why he would still talk to him. Also your second point, like the author mentioned, no one found out she was raped till much later on. She was probably the only one that knew and most likely she didn't want to tell anyone out of shame and fear.
The story was really powerful, this definitely left a lasting impression on me. I'll probably still look at porn the same way I did before but this story will probably pop in my head now.- fxu1989, on 04/07/2008, -8/+16Oh come on ... he ***remembers*** that his brother was naked ON TOP of his little sister.
Maybe when you were kid you didn't know what it was, but now that he's a full-fledged adult, if you don't know what a guy NAKED on top of a girl is doing .... sigh -_-
This story has so many holes ... sounds like sci-fi to me : ... or really exaggerated.

*****, if it does not go through this third time, I give up on digg.- DeathfireD, on 04/07/2008, -0/+4well since neither of us where there nor can we talk to the author, we will never know what really happened now will we? For all we know the author may have over looked that they both had underwear on or maybe his sister pulled the brother on her and consented to whatever it was they where doing. He was a young kid after all and had just walked into the room. He's retelling the story as an adult so there are probably small things he may have forgotten. Assuming things as serious as being molested or raped is bad if you don't know the whole story or are only being told by one person.
As for the holes...who cares? This isn't a conspiracy set to cover up something big. It's just a recollection from this guys past for god sakes. - Firehed, on 04/07/2008, -0/+16Not that I'm condoning it, but that kind of experimenting/behavior isn't exactly rare in young kids. Did you never play doctor when you were six?
- fxu1989, on 04/07/2008, -4/+1@Firehead:
No, I never did. Maybe some of you can think of it that way, but now that he's grown up and seeing his record, can we assume that he was possibly trying to rape his little sister ? ... For God's sake, he's a delinquent now. no matter what other reasons there might be for him being naked on top of his little sister (she was 6, he was 9 ), I still stand my ground, he was raping his sister.
No wonder the girl is so ***** up now.
- DeathfireD, on 04/07/2008, -0/+4well since neither of us where there nor can we talk to the author, we will never know what really happened now will we? - Abomonog, on 04/07/2008, -10/+2I agree. I call *****. To many holes in the story. To many illogical outcomes.
- xadious, on 04/07/2008, -1/+3Sounds like the guy tries to gloss over a lot of major parts. He might even have held back a lot of things in the article. He knew his sister was getting raped, or had been raped by his brother, and turned a blind eye along with his family.
No wonder the girl grew up so detached from the family, they weren't around to help her when she needed them the most.
The guy seems to be trying to rid himself of guilt by writing this article - he may not have known what was going on when he first saw what was happening (although i doubt it) but he certainly knew in the following years, especially when their father died, they were in their teens, and his brother was raping her on a nightly basis.
He didn't help his sister when she needed him the most. - StusGhost, on 04/07/2008, -0/+6Wow. I'm amazed how many people are so quick to judge this man. How can you possibly know what to do when you're still a child and you see your 9 year old brother on top of your 6 year old sister naked? I think a lot of parents would frankly have a difficult time here. Frankly, do you accuse your 9 year old of rape and send him to prison. That's ridiculous if you ask me. If his parents even knew what the situation was, which is unclear, I would advise therapy before I bring legal action against my own kid.
If the parents knew and did nothing they certainly are worthy of blame, but that's not what this article is about. It's about a brother coming to terms with his sister's fall from grace. For one thing, his sister sounds like an incredibly brave human being to have endured all that she has and not attempted to take her own life. That much I got.
- DeathfireD, on 04/07/2008, -3/+16I think it may be a different brother. If not then he must have gotten his life straightened out. - ncnavguy, on 04/07/2008, -0/+2Not my sis but for all the wrong I've done if it was I'd tear myself apart.
- KhanneaNL, on 04/07/2008, -18/+3WHAT a whiny little *****. He rolls around in self-pity while it's his sister whose life has been torn apart by male oppression.
The whole article is doused in whining and bitching how he sorry he feels for himself, the shame, the woe, but all that compares in no way, shape or form to rape, substance addiction, probably a psychiatric problem and a career in porn his sister had. He never asks the question, why, and if only in a rhetorical manner.
This is a CLASSICAL EXAMPLE of blaming the victim. What is he a ***** muslim or some other medieval denomination. Maybe an honor killing is more his style than simple acceptance and forgiveness. Preudish ***** *****.- jsmith39, on 04/07/2008, -2/+1As opposed to your classic example of going way of topic in order to fuel some micro agenda. How exactly did you jump from 'porn stars tend to have ***** up beginnings' to denigrating Muslims and presuming a predilection towards honor killings? You know what, never mind, no one wants you to answer that.
- crazyhorse13, on 04/07/2008, -1/+3Tell me about your childhood. Were you raped? By a Muslim?
- KhanneaNL, on 04/09/2008, -2/+1No but I worked in the sex industry for a while and the ***** prejudice and palefaced ocstracism of society MAKES ME PUKE.
- Slayer166, on 04/07/2008, -0/+2I read the whole thing. One word-"Wow".
- lamarre2012, on 04/08/2008, -7/+0I hate how this guy poses himself as this saint, ooooh he so naughty he bought a porn mag. *****, you're girlfriend/wife must not be pleasing you if you go out to buy a porn mag as soon as she leaves.
And the fact that he makes the story out to be so sad for him is pathetic. ***** this guy!!! - blackrage, on 04/08/2008, -0/+5I do know if the story is real...but?

- VeniceCA, on 04/07/2008, -3/+127With all the porn that is produced you have to figure there are many sisters living secret lives as porn stars (or at least participating in the creation of porn).
- Danktolker, on 04/07/2008, -3/+65That's why I try to watch as much porn as possible. Making sure my mom, sisters, grandma aren't doing anything immoral.
- synyster, on 04/07/2008, -2/+11wtf, grandma? that's ***** sick. nice excuse:)

- TokenBlack, on 04/07/2008, -8/+2...but that would make the guy in the picture Borat...
- JVIikel, on 04/07/2008, -3/+19If you had actually read the article you wouldn't have said that. It's a powerful story.
- Masticity, on 04/07/2008, -6/+4It may be a Dick move, but it was funny.
- TekeeTakShak, on 04/07/2008, -10/+256MrBabyMan's sister is a porn star? Wtf
- xTRUMANx, on 04/07/2008, -29/+5I believe your getting buried because you made the assumption that she was a star. You don''t become a star just by doing porn, you got to stand out from the crowd. Perhaps doing DVDA before your old will make you eligible to be a star.
P.S. Just watched Orgazmo recently, was waiting for an excuse to use the term DVDA ever since. - Niightwitch, on 04/07/2008, -0/+63Yeah, her porn name is BabySister.
- TheLastFreeMan, on 04/07/2008, -1/+8They both infect the general populous in their own way.
- shawnanigans, on 04/07/2008, -1/+49Makes perfect sense. Why else would MrBabyMan submit so much to digg? He is trying to distract the porn viewing audience of digg from viewing his sister by making us read his hundreds of daily submissions instead of seeing his sister naked. I'm on to you MrBabyMan, and I'm not falling for it.
- Murdats, on 04/07/2008, -1/+6your right, infact im going to go watch some porn now just to spite him.
- EwMo, on 04/07/2008, -3/+9Ah good to see nothing has changed in Digg. We all read an emotion tugging story, but some of us can't handle the powerful nature of the article for some reason or another, so we make lame attempts at snide, witty comments. Gotta love it here.
- MyDiggIsBig, on 04/07/2008, -1/+1sounds about right

- GliTCH82, on 04/07/2008, -1/+19That's great. We don't care.
- stonedgeek, on 04/07/2008, -16/+10Not really. At least, not in my case. I have no illusions about my sister still being a virgin. In fact, I'm really good friends with the guy who she sleeps with (not a boyfriend. a friend with benefits).
Pretending my sister is asexual is as ridiculous a notion to me as religion.- rsHoratio, on 04/07/2008, -1/+9no religion? no wonder she is a slut. Can I have her number by the way?
- Lawrencesss, on 04/07/2008, -0/+27I had to wrap my mind around boys being inside my brother.
- frooo, on 04/07/2008, -5/+93Actually I think what is more disturbing is... Why is MBM reading a chick mag?
- TheLastFreeMan, on 04/07/2008, -0/+18It's hard to face the truth, that's why he needs something meaningless to keep himself busy.
- spanglegluppet, on 04/07/2008, -0/+23Are you kidding? MBM reads everything.

- radu79, on 04/07/2008, -1/+7I think so too.
The story seems way too surreal, and who the hell would write that about his sister anyway? For what purpose?
If you had a family member you care about, would you write an article on how that person sucks dicks?- Cyberen, on 04/08/2008, -3/+1DO YOU SUCK DICKS?
- kindrobot, on 04/08/2008, -1/+2Then present it as such and show a little respect for the reader. They have a term for this in journalism. It's called "yellow journalism". Why yellow? Because it's the preferred color of cowardice, which is what this type of thing is.
Afraid that your real views will seem unrealistic and based on a twisted view of reality? Frame it as a TRUE STORY!
Why are the usually overly-skeptical digg crowd giving this one a free pass? Shame anyone?

- wc3452, on 04/07/2008, -1/+12False, FTA: "I remember feeling angry, because they had never invited me or my brother out to New York."
The family is like this, One girl, two boys and a mother. The father passed away when the author was nine. Hence, one brother of the author. - RevoFM, on 04/07/2008, -0/+3That's what he said, the guy who is telling the story and his brother = two people = two brothers.
There was an error. Please refresh the page and try again >:-| - Gambit89, on 04/07/2008, -0/+4The problem is that Akaricloud was referring to pugs whereas wc was referring to superfire when they mentioned "brother". If superfire had said "It wasn't him, it was *her* other brother", then we wouldn't be having this semantic argument :)
- RevoFM, on 04/07/2008, -0/+1However, had you not commented on this semantic argument I would not be confused as to who was arguing or referring to whom.

powerful- EwMo, on 04/07/2008, -1/+1Thank you. This is the first comment I've dugg in the entire thread. Not going for diggs, OR being immature, just reacting.
- MyDiggIsBig, on 04/07/2008, -0/+6it is unfortunately probably fake. the killer was where he brought up the nostril flare bit. first off, writing 101 is trying to make it all connect, as his little comedy routine story did. connect beginning with end, past to present. 2. no way is he quick enough to make that his answer. 3. even if he is, how would she remember that? she is like 4 or 5
- Sinnic, on 04/08/2008, -0/+1Agreed - I'm always very suspicious when authors attempt to relay cute little anecdotes from their distant past. It seems that they inevitably turn into quite detailed, almost certainly fictional accounts of something that probably never happened but makes for better reading than "My childhood memories are fuzzy and subject to creative suggestion".

- eryximachus, on 04/07/2008, -1/+2It's obviously *****. This is the kind of story that anti-pornography people love. "Oh, you love to see chicks strip for money? Oh, what if it was your sexually abused sister?"
This article reeks of Victorian sensibilities - ie only broken women share their beauty and sexuality with lots of men.
I don't support depraved pornography, but I also don't think a woman posing naked is inherently evil and I imagine most pornographic models and prostitutes have not necessarily been raped - let alone by their brother.- appletoapple, on 04/07/2008, -1/+3I think you would be surprised by the number of women who do suffer sexual abuse. As a journalist, I had the opportunity to observe a drug rehab center for several weeks. The most shocking thing I discovered was that 90% of the women in the facility had been raped or molested, most often by someone they new. These women then turned to drugs, and in many cases, the sex industry. This is not to say all women in porn were abused, but a shocking number of them have stories similar to the one in this article.
- eryximachus, on 04/07/2008, -2/+2Yeah, well, several million German women were raped in 1945 and you know what? They rebuilt their entire country in just a few years.
I've partied with lots of hardcore drug users in my time - people who DID go to rehab. I've never known any of them to be raped.
Rape is bad, but that has absolutely nothing to do with women posing in the nude or performing sex acts for money. They are unrelated. A person who is raped also does not necessarily have to descend into a life of corruption.

- Sh0cker, on 04/07/2008, -12/+3The proof is on the 3rd page, when talking about "rich aunt" hating her, then skips a paragraph or two, stating the same thing except it's the "rich uncle" hating her.
Aunt hate "Allen was really sweet. But Lenore hated me. It seemed like as soon as I got here, she had it in for me."
Uncle hate "Lenore was really sweet. But Allen hated me. It seemed like as soon as I got here, he had it in for me.
Work of fiction, but we could apply the same moral of the story to the glitch.
LOL- argonplatypus, on 04/07/2008, -1/+22If you read it, that's actually just the sister strung out on crystal meth lying about what happened. Not a "glitch."
- smashingmonkey, on 04/07/2008, -0/+16The editor didn't let that slip - it's part of the story to illustrate how far gone she is.
- Tearlock, on 04/07/2008, -0/+2Searching all references that have been linked to, there has been no convincing proof that this is fake. The writer is in fact a professional, and he does focus on fiction. The Marie Claire article appears to be autobiographical in spite of this. Quit rumormongering.

- RevoFM, on 04/07/2008, -0/+8He practically says it about five times throughout the article xD.
- agentlame, on 04/07/2008, -0/+13No, there was clearly a incestual overtone to the story. I thought the same thing.
- martinj88, on 04/07/2008, -0/+4I noticed the same incestuous tone throughout the article but maybe after his dad died he saw himself as the "man of the house" so to speak and tried to be a farther figure to her.
Either way the article rally hammers home the point that even tho they look like perfect specimens of women in videos and magazines, their real lives are most likely the stuff of parents nightmares.

This is where these stories lose me. He KNOWS that each and every one of them has a similar story. Was he coached or something? Or is the story even real? And the bit about her telling the same story in reverse was a bit fishy, too. Word for word? She repeated the same story word for word and just switched names? Not likely. At the very least this story was fudged a bit for dramatic effect. So the anti-porn feminists are pretending to be men now, writing articles for magazines? Maybe not, but it *feels* like it. But that's an assumption on my part. At the very least, *I* admit it.- jayfarer, on 04/07/2008, -1/+7The article didn't tell you swear off porn. You saw one vague somewhat anti-porn comment about the author's personal beliefs and then you took it as an attack on you and your porn freedom. Then you decided to connect it to some feminist conspiracy. Perhaps this says a lot about you and your sensitivities.
Not 100% of every porn star/stripper has had some dark history, but if you don't think a lot of them do, then you're being naive. It takes a very specific kind of person to be part of that industry. Dr. Drew of Loveline, hell, even Adam Carolla of The Man Show will tell you the same thing. They had a radio show for over a decade and this kind of thing would always come up. Strippers and porn stars calling in to talk about their problems and sickeningly abusive history.- Christia, on 04/07/2008, -3/+2Sounds to me someone's simply trying to justify an addictive and destructive behaviour...
So what if a mere 90% of women in porn have a similar background? 60%? 30%? Even at 10%, it would be an outrage, and in reality the numbers are far higher than that.
The porn industry spends sacks of money each year in PR just to make their business look cleaner. Apparently, it's well worth the effort because some of you are really buying it.- xadious, on 04/07/2008, -1/+3There is no PR going on to make the industry look 'cleaner' - everyone knows what kind of messed up people work in it, but they don't care. Guys want to see girls get ***** hence it's so popular - not because of this great PR stunt that you seem to think exists.
You seem to be looking for reasons as to why porn is so popular when the reason is so basic and obvious to anyone with even half a brain.
- xadious, on 04/07/2008, -1/+3There is no PR going on to make the industry look 'cleaner' - everyone knows what kind of messed up people work in it, but they don't care. Guys want to see girls get ***** hence it's so popular - not because of this great PR stunt that you seem to think exists.
- kindrobot, on 04/08/2008, -1/+1Did you miss that last part where I said it was an assumption on my part? And do you thing there's a remote chance that porn stars that show up on shows focused on ***** up people might just be ***** up themselves, therefore creating a false assumption that ALL porn stars must be abused or come from past abuse? You people are smarter than this, I'm disappointed.
- kindrobot, on 04/08/2008, -1/+1Also, I'm not even remotely concerned about my "porn freedom" and never implied it. If I were to choose an erotic stimulant, pornography would be my last choice. You've obviously made a few assumptions about me. Look in the mirror.
- Christia, on 04/07/2008, -3/+2Sounds to me someone's simply trying to justify an addictive and destructive behaviour...
- ogden, on 04/07/2008, -4/+2More then that ... this story just isn't *THAT* tragic. Anyone who thinks it is? Sheltered...
I've met a lot of hard cases in my day this one barely registers. There are a *LOT* more tragic stories out there. - mlfoley, on 04/07/2008, -2/+1Well, only sad people become porn stars! No one might get into it because selling sex for money beats whoring yourself out in the corporate world. Or any other reason. It's all because they're soooo abused.
- jayfarer, on 04/07/2008, -1/+7The article didn't tell you swear off porn. - Portezbie, on 04/07/2008, -3/+61What the hell did porn have to do with any of this? He and his mother were lost in their own worlds and completely ignored all the glaring signs that there sister needed help from, among other things, their brother that was molesting her. This story just pisses me off because this douchebag doesn't once consider that he and his mother are to blame almost as much as his brother, who incidentally, doesn't seem to be getting much blame here either. What exactly is the point of all of this? Are we supposed to feel guilty for looking at porn? The fact that they are in porn is not our faults, its the fault of people who let their sister s do drugs, get molested and become bulimic without making the slightest effort to save her.
- EmperorChow, on 04/07/2008, -1/+15That's what I was saying when I read it, why didn't anyone come to her rescue? Is family not important anymore? She's your goddamn sister. Do something.

You should find your sister and help her with that money.- ptrix, on 04/07/2008, -0/+0Um, she was doing PORN for several years. she probably made more money in a single week than the brother makes in 3 months. Even IF he could find her (it didn't seem that she wanted to be found, as numerous attempts by the family to contact her failed. Mostly because any information the sister provided, if any, led to dead ends), i doubt she'd actually put that money towards any kind of substantive "help", as the sister was and probably still is feeding a powerful Meth addiction.
Assuming, of course, that she's still alive.

Keeping oneself together is already enough work. At the same time it is also a classic story of parents denying problems and paying for it later.
- EmperorChow, on 04/07/2008, -1/+15That's what I was saying when I read it, why didn't anyone come to her rescue? Is family not important anymore? She's your goddamn sister. Do something.

- Makaveli604, on 04/08/2008, -0/+1There was an obvious sexual tinge to it.

It isn't even because of womans rights or anything, I just see so many social repercussions from pornography (over 50% divorce rate, anyone?).- kindrobot, on 04/07/2008, -1/+2even though this is fake, this would be one reason I stay away from beer. In other words, pick your scapegoat. There are plenty. But not so many adults willing to take responsibility for their actions instead of looking for real solutions. Then again, there are many marriages still "working" out there that should have been dissolved years ago. The world might be a better place if maybe a few more of the right marriages ended now instead of 10 years from now. - kingmanic, on 04/07/2008, -2/+3The high divorce rate is more indicative of the shift in attitudes that enable women not to have to put up with ***** in a marriage and also of a shift in what marriage means to people.

- Picaroon, on 04/07/2008, -3/+15I kept expecting, "Then my mom got scared and said, 'you're moving in with your auntie and uncle in Bel-Air!' I whistled for a cab and when it came near the license plate said "Fresh", and it had dice in the mirror. If anything I could say that this cab was rare, but I thought man forget it. Yo homes to Bel-Air!"
- followerOChrist, on 04/07/2008, -5/+5It's not easy to remember that those women men look at all have hearts, and dreams, and some where along the lines they got dealt a bad card, those girls are not just girls but our sisters, nieces, moms you name it. Good people make bad decisions some times... porn is no bueno...
- kindrobot, on 04/07/2008, -1/+13My dad survived a broken family, ruined by alcohol. He turned to a job that had him inhaling fumes for 30 years. He died of emphysema. We all get dealt cards, what we do with them is not the fault of the rest of the world. Anti-porn people are victimizing women by portraying them as weak, irresponsible, lesser beings unable to make decisions without a protector. Coal mining is no bueno, but we still use coal. Building bridges is no bueno, but we still need people to make bridges. Hell, just being a successful actor these days seems to be pretty no bueno, yet we still go see movies and watch TV.
The problem I have with this kind of attitude is that it plays right into the hands of people who would like to censor the world in order for it to look the way they want it to, feel they way they want it to. You wanna make the world safe? Insist on better health care for people who work in the sex industry. You wanna make children safe? Well, when your brother is ***** your sister, tell someone. Don't write articles that generalize porn performers, it won't save anyone. Most likely it'll just end up demonizing people you might not like but nevertheless do not deserve your wrath.
It's a scapegoat. Most rational people see it that way. I just wish I knew more rational people.- eclectro, on 04/07/2008, -3/+1Rational people would not buy porn. Or oil. or ciggarrettes.

- followerOChrist, on 04/08/2008, -2/+0Look, I am not saying that women are weak I am saying that the image that porn depicts of women is becoming what people expect in real life, it's unrealistic, what we see in porn is not what women really are or what they want. I know women who have gotten into porn and it all boils down every time that I have seen to a poor self image. If men started talking to instead of at women I think the world would be different, do I want you to live like I live or think how I think, that would be great but that wouldn't be real, the world would be boring. I want you to be who you are and it might just be me but I think that porn is a fake image of love, and if there is one thing in this world that needs to be real it's love.
so peace and love.- kingmanic, on 04/08/2008, -0/+2'I know women who have gotten into porn and it all boils down every time that I have seen to a poor self image.'
Where do you think those women would be without porn? They'd be streetwalking for a living. Porn is not a good profession and porn and strippers are almost street walkers but with better pay and more security. Porn is to sex as Movies are to physics. Exaggerated, fake, often tacky and tasteless but it's a niche that isn't' going away. I have a loving and full relationship with my GF and I treat her as a person, I work in an office of all strong academic woman, and most of my friends are women. On some nights when my GF can't come over I pull out some porn as almost every man and a lot of women do. It is retarded to think of that sort of fantasy as anything more then that. It's unhealthy. But it's not indicative of a persons inability to think of a man or woman as a person.
PS. I've noted that all the acquaintances I know who have entered the sec trade have come from deeply catholic or fundamentalist Christian homes (4/4). Odd that. - kindrobot, on 04/08/2008, -0/+1Don't get me wrong, some of what you say there is perfectly accurate. But again, you're making assumptions about too many people. We cannot dictate the production quality and realism of adult "films". But I can tell you as someone who has had a lot of experience over the years of seeing this material that a LOT of it is very unrealistic, staged and just plain hokey. But other material exists and to be honest the definition of pornography is being expanded to include mere nudity, exponentially. People who know better are outnumbered by people who will believe what they will no matter what reality dictates. Unfortunately, many of them make laws or vote. I appreciate what seems like your very real desire for diversity. I hope that someday it translates to defense of rational law as this country came to the defense of religious freedom by people of diverse religious backgrounds in the distant past. It's really integrity in the end. We don't have enough people like you and even the founding fathers these days. People brave enough to stand for certain rights and freedoms in spite of their differences with those who would exercise those freedoms. So, peace and love to you as well.
- kindrobot, on 04/08/2008, -0/+1Also, on the subject of "poor self image". Is it possible that if people continuously look down on your for your job of choice, this could have an effect on your self-image? I have some experience with this. I spent many years "flaking" my way through life. I finally found something I like to do, but it is tedious work. It's physical work. It's a job that people look down on not because it has a sexual nature, believe me it does NOT, but because the work seems "beneath me" to others in my life. But I work full time hours, 7 days a week. I work hard and I enjoy my work. But for a while I let people bring me down in regard to it. (not mentioning it has more here to do with privacy than anything) Now on the outside, this could be perceived as low self esteem. How does anyone else decide what brought me to that feeling? Was it the job itself? Was it a vulnerability brought on by bad experiences in childhood? Or maybe it was the unfair criticism of those around me who looked down on the job itself? If that's the case, wouldn't it be a sign of low self-esteem to QUIT that job rather than to keep doing it? How can we know what the cause of low self esteem is? Maybe , in some cases, it's our own fault for looking down on the choices of others. Maybe the self-esteem of others would be better served by a little bit less judgment and a little more tolerance.
