- benbrooks101, on 07/07/2009, -0/+22Anyone else think the description was talking about 4chan?
- perrycarter, on 07/07/2009, -2/+23My favorite excerpt from this article:
"Apparently many in the House knew Foley was a gay and in the closet because he was Republican." - adrian783, on 07/07/2009, -0/+18this is just a ***** article in general, none of these guys were burned by the internet.
- tigertiger, on 07/07/2009, -0/+18Number 5 IS bizarre...it's bizarre that in an article with serial killers and paedophiles there's a guy whose only crime was being gay and in the military, and that was only discovered after an investigation by the Navy (??). What the hell?
- inactive, on 07/07/2009, -1/+16Yeah, WTF?
Is someone who opens up and says that they are gay a "bizarre criminal"?
Yes, let's list homosexuals alongside murderers, rapists and paedophiles...
Buried for being immoral. - Loki101, on 07/07/2009, -0/+14Petty Officer McVeigh shouldn't even be on the list. The ***** who outed him should be there instead. Being gay ain't a crime. Breaching contract and privacy is. I hope AOL took a whack to a wallet for that stunt and that ***** stukach got what he deserved.
- benroy, on 07/07/2009, -0/+11Second page, first paragraph; "...his benign, fleshy appearance."
I have honestly never heard of a person being described as 'fleshy', and it's even weirder considering the context of the article. - OrangeTide, on 07/07/2009, -0/+8your english is epic.
- inactive, on 07/07/2009, -0/+7I am sometimes described as fleshy, but that's because I'm obese and I only eat raw beef - whilst watching Silence of the Lambs. Naked.
- collectivescott, on 07/07/2009, -0/+5Possibly the worst summary ever. Here's the full story: http://www.wired.com/images/press/pdf/flirting.pdf

"how about telling ur cum sucking ***** loving little whore to stay the ***** out of my life u wanted her u got her just tell her to leave me the ***** alone" - fxu1989, on 07/07/2009, -0/+4Title of the article is misleading...
Remember; on the internet, men are men, women are men, and little kids are FBI. - Jeepy, on 07/07/2009, -1/+5What's with the TruTv spam?
- goldfishey, on 07/07/2009, -0/+4 I might be wrong, but I think AOL is meant to be the criminal in this case. Or it could just be me, defining the bad guy by my own logic.
- teamgwho, on 07/07/2009, -0/+4This is such a ***** article. The internet isn't a factor in half these cases. Just because a criminal sent an email (thereby involving the internet) doesn't mean it should qualify their situation for "being burned by the internet" Being burned by the internet is when the blogosphere figures out who you are, and generates such a firestorm that you get in trouble. Like the myspace mom. An AOL employee failing to follow policy doesn't mean you get burned by the internet, it means you should be suing AOL for having stupid morons who can't follow policy.
And another thing: the articles headline is *crooks* who got burned by the internet. Bernie Madoff is a crook. Most of these people are terrorists, rapists and murderers. Those aren't crooks, those are criminals.
buried. - duckyinc, on 07/07/2009, -0/+4Title lies and rape is bizarre now?
- Vindexus, on 07/07/2009, -0/+3This one confuses the hell out of me:
Thomas Montgomery, 48, (pictured left) posed online as an 18-year-old Marine named "Tommy" who held a black belt in karate, had bullet scars on his left shoulder and right leg, thick red hair, and impressive physical dimensions. He met TalHotBlondbig50 — a 17-year-old from West Virginia, whose name, he learned, was Jessica on Pogo.com in the spring of 2005. Love seemed to bloom, with Montgomery posing as Tommy and then also as Tommy's dad who could get things to Tommy overseas, and "Jessi" sending elaborate photo-montages of herself. Then, early in 2006, Montgomery's wife learned of the online affair and contacted "Jessi," exposing her husband's deception. Jessi then asked a friend of Montgomery's whom he had mentioned online: Beefcake1572--in reality Brian Barrett (pictured right), a 22-year-old student at Buffalo State College who worked part-time with Montgomery and played poker with him--if Montgomery's correspondence had indeed been all just a lie. When Barrett confirmed the truth, she started a new online romance with Barrett, taunting Montgomery online in public forums as a child predator, but privately trying to rekindle the relationship with Barrett. The web of lies became increasingly entangled as "Jessi" ceased her public abuse of Montgomery, but continued to correspond online with both men. Finally, in September 2006, Montgomery learned she was still corresponding with Barrett; he flew into a rage and fatally shot Barrett at work that day. The police investigation swiftly focused on Montgomery, but the investigation had a further surprise in store: "Jessi", the lithe 18-year-old blonde of Barrett's and Montgomery's fantasies, was actually Mary, a plump 45-year-old married mother of two with short brown hair who had, she claimed, mistakenly used her daughter's profile to sign onto Pogo.com but been unable to reveal the truth when "Tommy" began his initial flirtations. Montgomery was sentenced on November 28, 2008, to 20 years in prison for killing his romantic rival for the affection of a girl as fictitious as his own alter ego. - collectivescott, on 07/07/2009, -0/+3"If all Republicans were closet cases maybe they'd be more sympathetic to gay rights, but most of them aren't."
Lol, that's not how it works, kid. - Tarl, on 07/07/2009, -0/+3Poorly written and researched "article." Buried.
- syntaxgs, on 07/07/2009, -2/+5it pretty sad that these man are out there on the loose!
they need too be jail immediate lee,,, there mere exist in street mean the street are not safe - dilldill, on 07/07/2009, -0/+3There are 29 pages, in case you were wondering when it will end.
- missjb, on 07/06/2009, -0/+2some of these people are certifiably insane
- skipvt, on 07/07/2009, -0/+2Buried for TruTV.
- 3rdDay, on 07/07/2009, -0/+2Beat me to it.
- inactive, on 07/07/2009, -0/+2and most of em were about just guys wanting to bang kids.
- sharkydog, on 07/07/2009, -1/+3Mom?
- ShiftyBizniss, on 07/07/2009, -0/+2Awful lot of MySpace in this list...
- CressCrowbits, on 07/07/2009, -0/+2Is it just me, or is this article really quite poorly written?
Also, how is the gay naval officer a 'crook'? - TommyHigh, on 07/07/2009, -0/+2There was one.... after reading about a million stories about pedos, I found -
"they found a set of instructions, printed off the Internet, entitled How to Commit Armed Robbery in Six Easy Steps. While the text was clearly meant to be humorous, with quips like "What every successful robber needs is a big sack, preferably with a dollar sign on it," the ladies took it seriously,"
p.s. They robbed a $1 store too!! - xero69, on 07/09/2009, -0/+1I like the one where they busted 2 women with a list of six easy steps for committing armed robbery. Found the original article too, if anyone is dumb enough to use this as a REAL guide for robbery they should be jailed as criminally stupid.
http://www.listentome.net/stuff56.php - Jaime2000, on 07/07/2009, -0/+1***** pagination.
- DeadBabyFloat, on 07/07/2009, -0/+1Chris Forcand
BRB CHURCH - OrangeTide, on 07/07/2009, -0/+1That whole part of the article was a bit jumbled. I still can't figure out what they meant to say. Perhaps that people were keeping an eye on him because he was known to be gay and it could be politically problematic because he is also Republican? If all Republicans were closet cases maybe they'd be more sympathetic to gay rights, but most of them aren't.
"Apparently many in the House knew Foley was a gay and in the closet because he was Republican, and some worried how far Foley was willing to take his occasionally worrisome interest in underage boys." - tehknotte, on 07/07/2009, -0/+1so many movies could have storylines from these stories.
- HommePomme, on 07/08/2009, -0/+1I wish I had not read the last one
- GlocksGoBoom, on 07/07/2009, -0/+1Why the hell is Lori Drew on there? Her conviction is probably going to be thrown out due to the fact that it's complete *****.
This list is terrible. - jessemoya, on 07/07/2009, -0/+1They kind of stop pretending to follow the title after a while. I read the whole thing and I wish I didn't. I don't know how I'm going to eat lunch after hearing about so much child molestation. :(
- woadgrrl, on 07/07/2009, -0/+0Buried because they listed a naval officer whose only 'crime' was being open about his sexuality in his personal life. Why include this guy alongside pedophiles and serial killers?
- allimaxvsaugmen, on 07/07/2009, -0/+0shocked me
- insanebrain, on 07/07/2009, -1/+1Dad ?
- badassjen, on 07/07/2009, -0/+0I used to think the internet encouraged criminal behavior because there was a perceived anonymity. Now I see cases all the time where criminals are caught because they post photos of themselves doing something illegal on their FACEBOOK PAGE. How dumb can you be?
- inactive, on 07/07/2009, -1/+0What about that random minister that Anon helped bust? The guy that posted pics of his short junk...
(I can't remember his name so I can find him on Encyclopedia Dramatica...)
