The problem with islam is the fact that they punish by blindly applying the same set of laws to everyone. Do you think a 6 year old who stole an apple will learn something out of the fact that they cut his hand? He will be confused as hell for sure, but he would hardly understand what's happening to him!
Also you find it eye for an eye that they would lapidate a woman who commits adultere? How is it eye for an eye to punish someone sleeping with another man by torturing her till her death by throwing stone at her? Oh and at the same time, a man in this position would just get a slap on the hand because it's ''male nature'' to seek beautiful womens!
