- chaosmachine, on 10/12/2007, -0/+7the world needs more giant mechanized animals roaming the streets freely.
- VijchtiDoodah, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3Pretty feaking cool, indeed.
London did the same thing with a giant girl at their Horseguards Parade: http://www.freephotosandvideos.com/movies/little_girl_giant.php - Diseage, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3Pretty freakin cool looking.
- Pluckie, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2Ah... if only it had actually been an elephant army
- cazabam, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2Sounds like it could be a Dumbo reference, although it equally could be a cartoon I vaguely remember that I can't remember the name of about a tiny elephant that somehow winds up sat in a birdbath ...
Not helpful, I know. If it comes to me I'll post it :)
edit: It's Punch Trunk (http://imdb.com/title/tt0046216/) - joeydoo, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2This group/show is on a tour of Europe.
From London

- TacitusBen, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2It reminds me of the elephant-esk army in Lord of the Rings, or that scene in Aladdin. I would have loved to have seen more the elephant, and less of the spectator.
- Philbert, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2Haha excellent. Good job! That short was also shown in the 1988 film Quackbusters.
- veloscaper, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2you mean Olephants, I thought of them too.
- VijchtiDoodah, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2Hahaha, I'd say the giant doll is pretty damn creepy. Especially when she goes to lick her popsicle and her tounge keeps bouncing up and down.
- raid517, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2Sure, it's "Balayeurs du Desert" "Decollage". Check out their full 'Jules Vern' Album.
BTW
Lot's more footage here:

The BBC had a brilliant documentary about it (I wish I could find it) that told the full story of how the little girl had landed in her Jules Vern wooden rocket and was searching for her friend the Sultan's Elephant. It was one of the most beautiful things I have ever seen - and just gave such a positive message, that sometimes the child in all of us can live again, even if it is for just a very brief time.
But anyway, at least in Europe we sure do like our Art. - trunkster, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Pink elephant? You were having an alcohol withdrawal hallucination?
- Philbert, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1You're close
- trunkster, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1The giant girl video.. I don't know what is scarier, the music or the giant doll.
- Philbert, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Pretty cool. I once saw a tiny pink elephant in my birdbath. (wonder how many will get that reference)
- dpk87, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1"It's so simple, but so complex, and yet so simple."
Make up your mind already. - trencher, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Could someone please tell me what the song is that is playing in the "Little girl giant" video?
- senne, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Hey, that's John Bosco Safari! The one that gives comments... He's a singer from Antwerp.
- senne, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1By the way, the little-girl-giant was also in Antwerp at the same time. I guess the story was about the elephant searching for the girl.. Something like that.
- coopa, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1My dad showed me photos of this show in London, starting with the rocket in the street, looked amazing. Wish i'd seen it.
- davesag, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1I went to Antwerp specifically to see this event. see photos here http://www.flickr.com/photos/davesag/sets/72157594193880715/
I have just edited together some video and uploaded to google video - will comment again when the post has been approved. - ModernTenshi, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Kinda reminds me of one of the sequences in Ghost in the Shell 2.
- Iceduck, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1I think he means the video that another commenter linked to. I felt the same way, Turkish pop is not my favorite.
- Philbert, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1Not sure what music you mean, but this video could've used a little Baby Elephant Walk.
- kingthot, on 10/12/2007, -2/+1Strange I can so intrigued by the elephant yet so repulsed by the music at the time.
- HappyScrappy, on 10/12/2007, -6/+1ooooooooooooooolllllllllllllllllldddddddddddd.
