There may be people who lasted longer, but though I wouldn't entirely doubt it, it seems a bit unlikely that they made it as late as the last decade.

I'm serious when I say my situation was difficult, but I could buy food and had a hut to live in. This guy is braver than me.
    When he got back, I bet he took a long hot shower and really appreciated a soft bed.
