- lazyslacker, on 10/12/2008, -0/+265When I read the title and the description I visualized this crazy bearded guy literally running around to parked cars with a red gas can and putting gas in, then running away maniacally. After developing this hilarious image in my head I was kind of let down by the sanity this guy displays. It's still great that he's doing it, though.
- inactive, on 10/12/2008, -5/+202I am happy as balls when people hold a door for me.
- StigNordas, on 10/12/2008, -4/+192Bravo, senseless acts of kindness.
- Z_Man, on 10/12/2008, -1/+144He is the type of person who we need more of in this world.
- TurdZilla, on 10/12/2008, -9/+132If you have nothing good to say SHUT DA ***** UP.... AND KEEP IT MOVING!!!!
I think i understand where this guy is coming from.... instant gratification plus knowing that %50 of the people may actually do something nice for someone else... He is hoping for the snowball effect. Whats wrong with that. nothing at all.
Rich people usually pay good money to shrinks to feel good about themself... this guy is just doing it on the cheap while helping out others.
- nyfael, on 10/12/2008, -1/+103This WILL create a snowball effect, even if it's a small one. Try it sometime, help someone just because you can. It's an incredible feeling, and they will probably do the same.
- undino, on 10/12/2008, -0/+84This guy is sending a good message, digg.

- madk, on 10/12/2008, -1/+57Random act of kindness = Lettings us know there is an add before the video.
Thanks! - SurrealDream, on 10/12/2008, -2/+52Last month I was at King's Cross station, a man was struggling to get his suitcase out of the train and I offered to help, he told me to ***** off.
Last week I missed my train home by literally 5 seconds, I was really pissed off, stomped up the stairs past a girl who was having trouble getting her suitcase down to the platform. I stopped, groaned, turned around and asked her if she wanted some help with the suitcase. Helped her take it down, and she gave me a hug. I went back up and walked about to waste 30 mins till the next train.
Turned out she was hoping to get on the same train I missed because I saw her still waiting on the platform when I returned. I'm seeing her again next week.
Moral : Don't try to help men, they're mostly arseholes. - VaporBro, on 10/12/2008, -2/+46oral sex
- justinp, on 10/12/2008, -0/+43They also don't have breasts or a vagina. Fact.
- ChristophyBrown, on 10/12/2008, -2/+41Dugg for the advanced warning.
- GODdestroyer, on 10/12/2008, -1/+39You could also use that money and buy cows and feed them to African piranhas.
You could also use that money and buy hundreds of roller skates so the roller skate industry will stay afloat.
You could also use that money and buy genetically altered white blood cells and give them to aids patients. - MrWally, on 10/12/2008, -4/+40Or a go-kart.
- Typhoon2009, on 10/12/2008, -0/+35I know you meant well, but I'd be sweating bullets if some guy from McDonalds followed me 10 miles to my place...
- BlatheringIdiot, on 10/12/2008, -0/+34Dugg for "Happy Balls"
I'm happy when the person grunts "thanks" when you hold the door. I swear, sometimes people walk through a door you are holding like you work at the place and never bother with a thanks. Sometimes I'd like to smash the door into their face. - ashwinmudigonda, on 10/12/2008, -10/+41I wonder how CNN got there at that exact moment, unless it's a nice feel-good ploy.
- chanop, on 10/12/2008, -0/+31I don't know about anywhere else but in NY (at least upstate) that's always done. I'll always hold a door open for somebody else and if I'm coming up behind anyone they've always held a door open for me.
- audomatix, on 10/12/2008, -1/+32Seriously bro. ***** you, maybe one of those people he helped will save a starving kid. You miss the point...
- MrWally, on 10/12/2008, -0/+30I have a feeling that he's been doing it for a while.
- bullox, on 10/12/2008, -2/+32You could also use that money to buy a big ass crack rock.
- diggdiggerid, on 10/12/2008, -1/+30Aren't you a happy camper
- AZTriGuy, on 10/12/2008, -0/+29Another fun way to do this that I do from time to time is when you're in a drive thru line, pay for the guy behind you. I had someone do that for me one time, and it's a fun and cheap way to give that same kind of unexpected joy to someone.
- Relikh, on 10/12/2008, -0/+24I didn't understand any part of your comment. I just dugg you down because you told me to.
- chowda, on 10/12/2008, -0/+23You just described my first thoughts exactly.
- kingofinternet, on 10/12/2008, -8/+31haley joel dies at the end i ain't paying forward *****
- heartscrub, on 10/12/2008, -1/+24Maybe, just maybe YOU could feed some starving kids.
- TheStoof, on 10/12/2008, -0/+22For whatever reason, watching this video has made me feel like I want to "pay it forward." Unfortunately, despite the huge smile on my face, my wallet isn't as grand. College sucks.
- LeviTheSmith, on 10/12/2008, -1/+22This made me happy
- inactive, on 10/12/2008, -0/+19It wasn't cnn camera people, cnn doesn't even have that many "feet on the street". Most stories like this are from freelance videographers, reporters and editors. It was probably shot by locals and forwarded to cnn.
- inactive, on 10/12/2008, -0/+19Sounds like a fine gentleman to me. This world would be better off with less ***** and more people like him.
- ThaDRD, on 10/12/2008, -0/+19Maybe this will help them buy food for their own kids now that they didn't have to pay $50 for gas this time. Use your head.
- Cuongfu, on 10/12/2008, -0/+18Dugg for telling me to grab a drink before I watched it. :)
- justinp, on 10/12/2008, -0/+17He is the type of person I need to meet more of in this world.
- Adapada, on 10/12/2008, -0/+16Random acts of kindness are the best gift you can give a person.
I'm gonna go buy him a chocolate milkshake. - inactive, on 10/12/2008, -1/+17Good karma!
- LampSwitch, on 10/12/2008, -0/+16ad*
- harvinator24, on 10/12/2008, -0/+15So true, im from new york and people hold the door for me all the time and vice versa. At the mall I see people speeding to the next door to hold it open for the person that just did it for them.
I don't see that in other places though. - Gnarstache, on 10/12/2008, -20/+35He was just checking to see if the stolen credit card would still work...
- petebert, on 10/12/2008, -0/+15you have interwebs in your car?
- Puppetfunk, on 10/12/2008, -0/+14It says KGW in the corner which is a local Portland news station. So that might be an explanation.
- diadem2, on 10/12/2008, -0/+14The man was afraid you'd steal his suitcase.
- Thumper13, on 10/12/2008, -0/+13Every year around Christmas my Father in Law travels around to local bars and buys the whole place a drink before moving on to the next bar.
Pay it Forward! - soccerman90, on 10/12/2008, -0/+13Pay it foward is an idea to live your life by. When someone does something nice for you, remember that and pay it foward by doing something nice for a random person. And hopefully that will make them want to do something nice for a random person also, creating a chain.
