I swear, the amount of windows over here is unparalleled, I have NEVER seen anything like it. It is pretty ridiculous.

Many condos have rules like this...otherwise you get people hanging bedsheets, tin foil and flags in windows, and putting used mattresses and shiny gazing balls on their balconies. It drives down property values when condo looks like a broke-down, tacky housing project, and it's not difficult or preposterous to hang or line the rear of the curtains with white.
- nogami, on 03/15/2008, -2/+2It's the same in the condo that I live in - you're not allowed to change the exterior "appearance" of the building. Since the appearance of the building includes everything visible through the glass (ie: the curtains or blinds), it's the same here. Whatever you put as window coverings, they must appear white on the outside.
As with the previous poster, I don't mind this - and the rules on this were totally clear when moving in. It stops people from putting whatever crap they want, neon signs, jesus posters, pink frilly crap, etc. up in the windows and ruining the outward appearance of the building (and dropping MY property value should I decide to sell).
