Dugg for that reason only. - cwmonkey, on 10/10/2007, -1/+31Those women were ridiculously hot. I think there was also a magic trick happening in the background... something to do with coins.
- joewashere, on 10/10/2007, -1/+31dugg for the token black guy
- exnoosher, on 10/10/2007, -1/+24dugg for black guy speaking Japanese...
- SiegeX, on 10/10/2007, -1/+15I'm only an armature magician, certainly no authority on magic but I think I know how all this is done. There are three parts to his routine and I'll tackle them one by one.
1. Coin Transportation: This is your standard coin transportation that uses a 5th coin tucked away at the base of the palm (the part you use to palm-mute a guitar.) When he crosses his hands, thats when the hidden coin is transfered and he then palms another coin to make it appear that the coin transported.
2. Coin Multiplication: The second trick where he makes about 15 coins appear on the table is not something I've seen before, but I'm fairly sure how it works. You'll notice that he never once picks up the multitude of coins that appear on the table, this is because these coins are actually BELOW the glass, covered by some black material which I'm going to guess is Dry Erase marker. When he wipes his hands across the glass what he is actually doing is erasing the black marker over the coins making them magically appear even though there were always there hidden under the black ink. If its not dry erase marker it could be a special sliding glass table (which I've seen this guy use before in another trick on youtube) but the marker idea sounds easier.
3. Coin Fountain: This is the trick where he rubs his hand together and a seemingly endless supply of coins spill forth from his hands. This is another trick I've never seen before but I'm fairly certain what he is doing is putting his hands around some sort of nozzle/pipe that is either already protruding from the wall or is pushed out once his hands go up to provide cover. All he has to do is then wait for the coins to come sliding through the nozzle and out of his hands. The Japanese girl is certainly a plant in this trick as she is the only one with a 90* perspective, everybody else is head-on. - rhinopig, on 10/10/2007, -1/+10My theory. Magnetic ring, coin dispenser in his sleeves, and good slight of hand.
- dawgma, on 10/10/2007, -0/+71:22 is the magic moment. Keep clicking YouTube's slider at that point to replay the moment over and over!
- plosfas, on 10/10/2007, -1/+7For the first part with only four coins moving around, he actually has five coins. The extra coin is hidden between the fleshy part of his palm and the table, and dragged around. To transport a coin he simply drops the hidden coin under one hand and picks up the other with his other hand. This is why he had to cross his hands to get them all to the same spot.
- edzz, on 10/10/2007, -0/+5Thats weird, it was as if i could understand some Japanese.
- SaneAngel, on 10/10/2007, -2/+7The BLACK MAT has slits in it that allow for coins to slide in and out, back and forth, and such...
That's my guess. - ByronT, on 10/10/2007, -0/+4He obviously has a transporter up his sleeve.
- ImYourRealDad, on 10/10/2007, -0/+4"sleight" of hand.
- MadEnvoy, on 10/10/2007, -0/+4Think that's great, you should see this trick: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_IRUV6UAYfs&NR=1
- AlexPod, on 10/10/2007, -0/+3i am going to have to concur. but i think 2:06 is just as good.
- theranch, on 10/10/2007, -0/+2Obvious that the camera angle is set to hide the coins coming from his right arm.
- MinaSulo, on 10/10/2007, -1/+3God, I thought he was just going to explode and coins fall everywhere.
Oh and lolo black man. - greensphera, on 10/10/2007, -2/+4So easy for all of you to explain it now.... Get there in front of the people and do it.... There's the ultimate test, there is the MAGIC.... We all know that it is just a magician number and he doesn't really make those money... Do not try to explain it to us.... It's fun, we enjoy it ... Let it be that way !!!
- cavie2002, on 10/10/2007, -0/+2booby...do u like money??
- whatitdojoesue, on 10/10/2007, -0/+2he is an ancient japanese sorcerer planning to collapse the entire world's economy.
- wierdaaron, on 10/10/2007, -3/+5I know you used all English words there, but for the life of me I cannot make sense out of any two consecutive words.
- rhinopig, on 10/10/2007, -0/+2The dispensers are probably at or above his elbows. All he did was show there was nothing on his forearms.
- themastersb, on 10/10/2007, -2/+4The only 2 languages I want to know are English and Japanese. For some reason when I was in school I was being taught useless french which I've never had the need for.
- aweb93, on 10/10/2007, -0/+1yeep yeep yeep
Do all asians cheer like that - scottromansky, on 10/10/2007, -1/+2they are hidden between the pointer and middle finger's of his right hand, and to move them he has them on his palm.
- themastersb, on 10/10/2007, -0/+1what about when he rolls up his sleeves?
- BurnTees, on 10/10/2007, -0/+1um, wow. that was awesome.
- DejectedRobot, on 10/10/2007, -0/+1This is an update to an old trick. The first part is the older version which just involves a palmed fifth coin and sliding of the coins when it looks like he is hovering. The second part has me a little baffled, most likely he has quite a few hidden in his sleeve.
- jpt62089, on 10/10/2007, -0/+1Reminds me of the Magic Bullet commercials... Minus the old smoking lady lol
- L4WL3RS34L, on 10/10/2007, -2/+3If you've been to Japan, you'd think you were in a movie. All the women you see are hot, it's so weird.
- holygram, on 10/10/2007, -0/+11:40 = dugg.
- jmpeagle, on 10/10/2007, -0/+1got to love the reactions from the audience
- ahawks, on 10/10/2007, -0/+1Doesn't explain the rest, like the fountain of coins flowing from his hand to the girl's
- rhinopig, on 10/10/2007, -0/+1Yep. After watching it again, It's clear none of the coins in the second part move (he pretends to move 1 pair but isn't really) except some of the original 4(5). And all of the additional coins look almost 2 dimensional. either under the glass or pictures or something. Also for the 3rd part it looks like you can almost see a vertical black pipe coming up behind him and him put his hands around it and it even shake a little for the first fountain of coins. Oddly enough though you can't really see it from the other camera angles.
- zazzy, on 10/10/2007, -2/+3DUGG for 3:11omfg lmao... did he seriously just bite the ***** coin?
black people, no matter how educated they get, will under the right circumstances circle back to a moment of ghettoness.
digg me down, but i laughed my ass off when he bit that ***** - rhinopig, on 10/10/2007, -0/+1I knew that didn't look right but couldn't think of the correct spelling.
- sputty01, on 10/10/2007, -0/+1Yeah his magnetic ring looks pretty cool..that one that pulls the coins through the slits. Oh the Japanese woman that's in on the trick while he always has to cover up the tube that all the coins are flowing out of, notice how he looks like he's trying to get his arm so it covers up something from the view of the camera/audience?
^_^ - Greg, on 10/10/2007, -0/+1It's just like a mini mall.
- altosaxon, on 10/10/2007, -0/+11:22 = dugg+1
[ hot ] - inactive, on 10/10/2007, -0/+1Yep that's called misdirection.
- theranch, on 10/10/2007, -0/+1There are slots in the black cloth...watch his thumbs and hands.
- DrunkenDevil, on 10/10/2007, -0/+1"HUH!?"
- rhinopig, on 10/10/2007, -0/+1Ok, I'm probably wrong.
See SiegeX's comment further down. - fiver22, on 10/10/2007, -1/+1Asrriel86: it's obvious that Greensphera's native tongue is not english -but if you are a native english speaker you should be able to grok his comment. I think that you must be confusing "english" with "arrogant american". "English" is a language spoken by many people around the world, whilst "arrogant american" is a sub-dialect of english that is spoken mainly in the southern United States.
- TridenTBoy, on 10/10/2007, -1/+1Yeah when I saw that I had the same reaction he did to the coins.
- jsully, on 10/10/2007, -1/+1It's an illusion cwmonkey, a trick is something a whore does for money.
- lanzemurdok, on 10/10/2007, -1/+1NANIIIII????
- FrankGoodman, on 10/10/2007, -0/+0only in japan
- Zoshchenko, on 10/10/2007, -3/+2Why can't you just enjoy magic for what it is? Do you need to "explain" music to enjoy it? Or in a movie do you talk the whole time, explaining that they used a camera and microphone to record what you're seeing on the screen? Jeeze! It's a fantastic illusion performed by one of the best magicians in the world. You aren't supposed to understand how he does it...because, it's MAGIC!
- klasital, on 10/10/2007, -1/+0i think you are supposed to under magic, just simply enjoy it.
