too early
for a salad. - fantastcandy10, on 10/12/2007, -2/+34I swear in the video it said more than 4,000
- snlildude87, on 10/12/2007, -0/+32then it's not that voice.
- jmzook, on 10/12/2007, -0/+32He also recently did a Gieco commercial, it was hilarious.
- masterc, on 10/12/2007, -1/+30My friends Dad does the same thing. He's done movies like The Departed, the Guardian, etc. I actually met him last year, and he kinda talks like he does in the trailors and previews!

- michaelschaaf, on 10/12/2007, -2/+21Ordering pizza by phone must be fun for him.
"I want a pepperoni pizza with.....extra cheese..."
DUN DUN DUUUUN!! - nebrfan, on 10/12/2007, -0/+17"Rosebud... yes, Rosebud frozen peas. Full of country goodness and green peaness. Wait, that's terrible. I quit. "
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IH1PJTY9AVA - adamchristopher, on 10/12/2007, -0/+16Sorry, by creepy i meant a "worthless comment". 99% of the the time it's sad when anyone dies. Granted, this man's voice holds a special place in our hearts(ears) cause he talked about movies we wanted to see, but "its going to be sad when he dies" is just a very random random quote. Almost as if you're expecting him to die soon.
- MarkCiccone, on 10/12/2007, -0/+13I always wondered who these voices were, they never are credited in the trailer's credits! There's the one other one that stands out in my mind, I wonder who he is.
- Zippo, on 10/12/2007, -0/+12@kingfoot
To be fair, since he's recorded so much and has so many clichés, I'm willing to bet you could splice recordings and pump out another 10 years of trailers.
In a world... one man... - 0siris, on 10/12/2007, -0/+12i think the video is a few years old. wikipedia says 5000
- halosniper7, on 10/12/2007, -1/+12changed at age 13...
- Pilot85, on 10/12/2007, -0/+10so can I, but not with that depth and... gravitas? Anyway, there is no substitute for the Don.
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -1/+11That guy cracks me up.
- icexe, on 10/12/2007, -0/+8"When you die, the voice you hear in Heaven is not Don's. It's God trying to sound like Don." - Ashton Smith (via Wikipedia)
- seventoes, on 10/12/2007, -0/+7"its going to be a sad day when he dies."
In a world with no good voice actors... - kingfoot, on 10/12/2007, -2/+9why was that creepy?
- DrLaunch, on 10/12/2007, -1/+8Great guy. Really dramatic voice.
I have a cold at the moment and my voice is super deep. It sounds a little like that guy.
I could make "I play with barbie dolls" sound like the pass time of cold blooded criminals. :D
Unfortunately it will change back to normal. - Paisleyfrog, on 10/12/2007, -0/+6"I'd like a can of peas, please" is now my system alert sound. Good stuff.
- spacebar14, on 10/12/2007, -0/+5http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZJMGS7l0wT8
- roadkillrampage, on 10/12/2007, -0/+5They need to get the movie voice guy to read some Dr. Seuss books.
- Kamino, on 10/12/2007, -1/+5This imitation is pretty good: http://youtube.com/watch?v=dheUa4ml6as (Skip to 16:55)
- shakaru, on 10/12/2007, -1/+5Anyone else notice they stole his intro music from Escape Velocity?
- gamersedge, on 10/12/2007, -0/+4damn thats cool.
- crumbelievable, on 10/12/2007, -0/+4This guy seriously has the best job in the world.
"What do you do for a living?"
"I make a seven-figure salary reciting some cheesy catch-phrases into a microphone." - Viper007Bond, on 10/12/2007, -0/+4Yeah, it rocked. lol
- UnderWurlde, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2That's the man who I'd imitate in order to get the english american accent! As I young boy, all I could say and repeat was "Now playing at a theatre near you. Check your local listings for details". That always had people laugh when I would try to speak english poorly, and then all of a sudden get this deep voice and repeat those words... I don't know of a single person who wouldn't love having a voice like that! A great person, and a great influence for generations to come.
- spacebar14, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2The gang, wanted in -
*BAM*
"I dunno who this guy is, but I want him, and his tortillas.... DEAD!" - Chinzon, on 10/12/2007, -3/+5Er, Great Britain includes England, Scotland, Ireland and Wales (and various smaller islands). What gets on my nerves are ignorant North Americans who've clearly never so much as glanced at a map of anywhere else in the world, much less taken an interest in global affairs...
- fodder650, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2Time to age myself. He was on NPR's Wait Wait Don't Tell Me a month or two ago. To hear create intros for their shows and take them completely out of context was great.
But I agree they need to give him more publicity. Like the other reply I dont know what the trailers would be like without him - diktator279, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2In a world, of Gravely voiced Overlords... One man Welcomed them
- n8dawg87, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1That man is my hero. Its the best when he is all serious for comedy movie trailers.
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1What's the music playing from 00:31 to 00:45? It's the theme to an old Mac game, "Escape Velocity", but it must have come from somewhere else before that.
- air360, on 11/30/2008, -0/+1im still sad he died
http://imdeadserious.com - inactive, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Oh I posted a comment below before I read this. Yeah, that was a fantastic game. But now I'm wondering whether Ambrosia took the Escape Velocity theme from somewhere else, maybe a stock sound effects album?
- jsg7, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Yes. I thought that was great...
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Saw him on a geico commercial a while ago.
