- mostie, on 04/11/2009, -1/+19There are funner things to do in Vegas
- Greengoo, on 04/11/2009, -1/+18I'll go to Vegas, but sure as hell won't be going for this. I hear they have places there where girls get naked!
- inactive, on 04/11/2009, -2/+19Am I the only one that thinks Beer Pong is way overrated? I dugg the story because it is crazy that Las Vegas is promoting an activity that you could do anywhere.
- inactive, on 04/11/2009, -1/+15Meh... God Bless Beer Pong!
- btraxx, on 04/12/2009, -1/+12Sounds pretty awesome
- inactive, on 04/12/2009, -0/+7That's my kind of vacation. Gambling, hookers, pimps, strip clubs, and lots of alcohol. What were you expecting out of Las Vegas? It ain't tijuana, but it ain't Disneyland neither.
- MasterGrief, on 04/12/2009, -0/+7Seriously?
I've gotta get in on this! - inactive, on 04/12/2009, -0/+6Saw this at an Irish-themed casino in Vegas a couple weeks ago, alongside $3 drafts and strip poker. They obviously know their market.
- amabaie, on 04/11/2009, -2/+6Several friends have been to Vegas in the past few years. Each of them tell me about being harassed by pimps bearing photos - bearing them in your face as you walk down the street with your wife! - and prostitutes in the lobbies of kid-friendly hotels. Sorry, Vegas, that's not my version of humanity.
- inactive, on 04/12/2009, -1/+5Yikes, why all the unnecessary anger? Judging by your choice of words, I'm guessing repressed homosexuality.
- 666300, on 04/12/2009, -0/+4Beer Pong should be a staple in any respectable casino.
- snagglefoof, on 04/12/2009, -0/+3Sorry this is a really boring article.
- rsHoratio, on 04/12/2009, -0/+3I hear they also advertise gambling and prostitutes. But thats just what i've heard..
- akchrs, on 04/12/2009, -1/+4In Alaska we lure visitors with nature and stuff. Beer pong would be better.
- Visual77, on 04/12/2009, -0/+3I've lived in Las Vegas for my entire life.
During the mid-late 90s, there was this sudden push for a 'family friendly' Las Vegas, with things like the Sahara Speedway, Wet n Wild, MGM Theme Park, Circus Circus Adventuredome, etc.
In recent years, that has been abandoned.
So... while I'm not condoning the pimps or prostitutes, I do think you are a bit misled on the thought that anything in Vegas is meant to be 'kid-friendly'. - dfweyer, on 04/11/2009, -0/+2Aren't there strip clubs in Vegas...sounds like a great lure to me!
- Groucho88, on 04/12/2009, -0/+2I probably do suck at beer pong but I haven't played it since high school because IT"S BORING. But there are way better drinking games. Flip cup, quarters, beeramid, tourettes, making up your own damn game. Something that people won't brag about how good they are. I don't care. Drink beer.
Whatever. I am gonna go watch Sliders. - darkism, on 04/12/2009, -0/+2Why waste your time with strippers when there are brothels in Pahrump?
- Eorster, on 04/11/2009, -2/+4Funny, last time I was in Vegas they asked me to PAY for my drinks. Never going back. Not worth the money any more.
- chicagojack, on 04/11/2009, -0/+2Sounds interesting *booking trip now*
- LuckyASN, on 04/11/2009, -0/+2Nothing's worth Las Vegas prices.
- grantmoore3d, on 04/12/2009, -0/+2I've got a game for you, it's called "Drink the Beer"
- cam0man, on 04/12/2009, -0/+2The beauty of vegas is that there's no open container laws on the strip. Just keep a 30 in your room and walk around with your own beers, or bring a bottle in your pocket and just swig it. Get yourself ***** up enough where you can just maintain the buzz with the occasional drink.
Most casinos have their own stores inside that sell alcohol dirt cheap if you aren't ordering from the bar, you can buy a beer for a dollar or two. The Palms, Monte Carlo, MGM, Palazzo, Luxor, Caesar's, and every other place I've stayed have always been this way.
You go to vegas for the girls, the parties, and the fact that you can get trashed at any hour of the day along with thousands of other people...just bring your own booze next time. The drinks at the table and slots are usually a wash anyways because by the time they bring you the drink, you've already lost way more than it would have cost. - OneAndOnlyEBZ, on 04/11/2009, -0/+2Studies show that during recessions alcohol and tobacco consumptions increase, so those bastard are actually doing pretty damn well.
- darkciti2, on 04/12/2009, -1/+3When I'm spending hundreds of dollars in a Casino, I expect my Cognac to be free.
You've clearly never been to Vegas. You should try it sometime. - valkyries, on 04/12/2009, -0/+2o'shea's does have Fat Elvis.
- monkeyman121, on 04/12/2009, -1/+3Well this would be a great place to travel, yet due to the unreasonable US laws on alcohol consumption many of us Canadian university students would not be able to participate in something we have been doing for years legally in our own country and in many countries around the world.
- sfcaptainrob, on 04/12/2009, -1/+3You need to play up the fact that you can see Russia from there!
- ionelementz112, on 04/12/2009, -1/+3I'm more of a flip cup person.
- thewonster, on 04/12/2009, -1/+2FREE PIZZA
- matt.rubin, on 04/12/2009, -0/+1I have seen soooo many fliers around school for this.
- inactive, on 04/12/2009, -0/+1yay for america's future!
- bachdog, on 04/12/2009, -2/+3You hit the ball...the drunk person across from you misses the ball...the ball lands on the dirty floor where the dog just walked after stepping in a pile of poo while chasing a squirrel...the drunk person picks up the ball...hits it into your partner's cup which has herpes simplex virus floating on the top bubble scum...
- JiveRabbit, on 04/12/2009, -0/+1not herpes, but some gross stuff
People not washing the ball before they throw it :( - arjun59, on 04/11/2009, -1/+2At least beer people are not going to be hurt by this recession..
- Lumbre619, on 04/12/2009, -0/+1I can agree with Cam0man about O'sheas, it is a trashy place. I just went there last week and sure enough beer pong right near the Subway. I think the price is ~$22 for a pitcher of beer and the cups.
- akchrs, on 04/12/2009, -1/+2And I guess you think you can't.
- darkciti2, on 04/12/2009, -0/+1Most college students I know are pretty tight on funds. I know I did the Ramen noodle thing for a spell or two.
Why do I have a feeling they're going to schedule the advertising to coincide with the weeks before the FAFSA checks get deposited? - Chompy, on 04/12/2009, -0/+1Just be sure your Vegas fun doesn't involve something like this:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=l5TPSg2l2So - kenn4000, on 04/12/2009, -0/+1first year we were something below but around 200ish/350 teams
second year we were eliminated in the 32-64th place round
last year we were like 300/400
once we have a bad first day, we throw all our matches on the second day and just get retardedly drunk for fun. quite a blast - ionelementz112, on 04/12/2009, -0/+1Fox News says otherwise.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tIAdhrfT70I - sfcaptainrob, on 04/12/2009, -0/+1Or their hands.
- Toadette, on 04/12/2009, -0/+1Isn't that be their target audience? Makes sense to me.
- cam0man, on 04/12/2009, -0/+1o'sheas
place is so trashy, but if you want to pound some brews for a pong tourney, it's all legit. - zomgflamer, on 04/12/2009, -0/+1I just found out.....I really dont give a crap about beer pong. In fact, its crap, pathetically boring after 5 minutes.
In conclusion, everything I do is in order to get laid, its not fun, not good times particularly when all the time spent and not getting an ounce of vag.
***** you vagina - kenn4000, on 04/11/2009, -3/+3the world series of beer pong is held every year in vegas, and as a competitor for the past three years, i highly recommend it.
if youre interested in competing in 2010, www.bpong.com - sparkmonkeyz, on 04/12/2009, -2/+2I only like to play it if I'm already ***** up. If not I end up just wanting to drink all the beers on the table and call it a game.
- emerica403, on 04/12/2009, -0/+0mmmmmmmmmm vegas mouth herps
- inactive, on 04/12/2009, -1/+1how'd you place?
