- tootim, on 11/12/2009, -2/+9Woot woot! 88! Hitler was my homeboy!
- tootim, on 11/12/2009, -0/+6Kristallnacht sounds like Crystal Light the way the guy pronounces it. Too soon?
This is a boring video. Why are the National Anarchists so into it? Hmmm. I guess some might honestly be capable of rubbing one out by watching this. - wpi97, on 11/12/2009, -4/+9I know, Hitler was just a personification of compassion, tolerance, and loving kindness to all people irrespective of their race, religion, or heritage.
My eyes are rolling, and so are the bones of my family members in nameless mass graves throughout Ukraine.
Here is a video for you: http://community.livejournal.com/ru_yiddish/385148 ...
In case you don't understand Yiddish, the old man is going through a field in Berditchev, Ukraine, where thousands of Jews were shot by the Nazis in September, 1941. There is only a tiny marker in memory of "the Soviet civilians murdered by the Nazi invaders." The only indication that these particular Soviet cvilians were killed for being Jews is the small star of David on the marker.
The old man sees human bones that are right on the surface, and says: "These may be bones of my relatives." He picks up a human scull and says: "This may have been my brother." - tzvika613, on 11/11/2009, -5/+9Yeah, that Hitler was a real mensch!
"When Hitler learned of the antisemitic outrages (Kristallnacht) he was furious with Goebbels. He made a frightful scene with Goebbels and told him that this kind of propaganda was just damaging, in fact downright dangerous particularly with regard to overseas." Not that it was wrong. He was furious because it was bad press. - tzvika613, on 11/14/2009, -4/+4Das ist lustig:

He made a frightful scene with Goebbels and told him that this kind of propaganda was just damaging, in fact downright dangerous particularly with regard to overseas. That Sunday in Munich 1938 Hitler had returned to his home from a ceremony. In his residence on Prince Regent Platz he learned of the Kristallnacht events. Hitler tried to save what could still be salvaged and ordered that some of his staff, Schaub among them, had to halt the plundering at once. AH particularly tried to stop the worst befalling the internationally famous art dealers Bernheimer".
