- jvanaken, on 10/12/2007, -4/+26Unfortunately titled on YouTube, and with some Spanish (?) subtitle that can get in the way. Still, it's an amazing look into the Hollywood "process" of making a movie - and explains why so much crap actually makes its way to our eyes.
Besides, Kevin Smith is a seriously funny son-of-a-bitch - inactive, on 10/12/2007, -1/+19This is from "An evening with Kevin Smith" a two disk DVD that just has stuff like this in it. He also made a more recent one called "An Evening with Kevin Smith 2: Evening Harder". Both a really funny go and rent them or download them.
- colonelpanic, on 10/12/2007, -3/+16comment dugg down because you suck.
- BlindingEdge, on 10/12/2007, -1/+12He is truly great at telling stories. Y'all should check out him talking about Tim Burton: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fKbAEmvZyKQ That ***** is classic!
- Rayor, on 10/12/2007, -14/+24You do NOT pirate Kevin Smith.
- LilRabbitFooFoo, on 08/11/2008, -1/+10Kevin Smith pirates Kevin Smith. So can you.
- randomgeek, on 10/12/2007, -6/+12Dugg down because the damned title of the story makes no sense. Proofread people. Jesus.
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -4/+9"blah blah blah... Proofread(,) people. Jesus."
I have two words for you: sentence fragments. - brstilson, on 10/12/2007, -3/+7I'm guessing you decided that even before you saw the movie.
- rnelsonee, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3Dugg because I totally forgot about the sequel that came out.
/one of the DVDs I'd have if I was on a desert island - it's just fun to listen to Smith talk for 2 hours. - coldliquidflame, on 10/12/2007, -1/+3Hahaha....the spider....hahaha
Thank GOD Nick Cage wasn't Superman! - supermanred, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2The Superman was done tastefully at least. Too much of a love story, but it does set up for a sequel with the first ever true Superboy.
Anyways, it was done true to the Superman legend and hopefully we're done with lex luthor for now, I'd like to see Superman fighting every peice of metal in metropolis (a la METALLO) or the original TERMINATOR SUPERCOMPUTER BRAINIAC. Although I dont see how they would do the Brainiac story without people thinking Terminator ripped THEM off. - xiguo, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2No, Jon Peters made "Batman Returns", not "Batman Begins".
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jon_Peters - steve693, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2This is. . .a true story? You gotta be *****' me. . . . . .. Smith wasn't making this ***** up? Either way, Kevin's an amazing story teller. What is this segment from?
This reminds me of that episode of The Simpsons: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/When_You_Dish_Upon_a_Star
His sidekick's a talking pie! - jull1234, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2Anyone who hasn't needs to check out the section of this show about Kevin Smith going up to Minneapolis to do a project with Prince (the artist). You'll then want to purify yourself in the waters of lake Minnetonka.

- potatomato, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2He wasn't the Executive Producer of Superman Returns.
He was a producer only in name.
There was a team of 4 Executive Producers, 1 Co-Executive Producer and 4 Producers (including Peters).
Supeman wore the suit, flew, and didn't fight any giant spiders.
Things that all might have happened had Peters been in charge of any actual producing. - DatoeDakari, on 10/12/2007, -1/+3@ stinkypyper
What are you talking about, Dogma is his best work.(IMO) - potatomato, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2If sucking his dick were a way to funnel off some of his talent for dialogue and speech, I'd take a shot in the mouth.
- jull1234, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Nope, just Ghost Rider.
- Lobut, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1I just went out and bought the DVD. Oddly enough some guys were setting up their DVD sale in my University and I got the last copy.
- SatansMagicHat, on 10/12/2007, -2/+3Want to know the best part? Jon Peters, the guy Smith is describing, was the Executive Producer of Superman Returns (probably why it wasn't all that good.)
And if you don't believe this guy is really that crazy, then take a look here:
http://radaronline.com/exclusives/2006/12/superman-producer-hit-with-harassment-suit.php/ - BobbyMC, on 07/21/2008, -0/+1This was a great story by nature of that guy being an idiot, but the way he told it made it a classic example of good storytelling. He ends the thing just the right way and given that the chain of events is so obsurd it is just ***** perfect.
- ThugEsquire, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1lol Clark
- clownguyx, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1I would like to see the news clip he is referring to in this video.
It is incredible how interesting it is to watch this guy tell a story. If anyone else went on and on like that I would fall asleep, but his stories are captivating. - superman7648, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1ohh man the funniest part is in the last 30 seconds, dugg for the giant spider
- soxpride, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1So Tim Burton was going to do the Superman movie at one point. I wonder what happened with that.
- manova, on 10/12/2007, -1/+2no suit, no flying....and throw in a gay black guy
Did this guy produce Smallville as well? - yatpay, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Whooo! Yeah Clark University!
- potatomato, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Chakka mad!
- nurriz, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1He's an amazing story teller. He really had me captivated with that one. Great story too.

- xstevenx, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1the DVD this clip is from is amazing. a definite must watch he talks about prince(the artist) being a crazy Jehovah Witness and the early days of Jason muse aka Jay of Jay and Silent Bob
link to the movie info http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0346952/ - Waterispoison, on 10/12/2007, -3/+2If it doesn't get Dugg, then maybe people don't like it. Please do not spam Digg, no matter what you link.
- jull1234, on 10/12/2007, -2/+1Sweet, let us all know how that goes for you. I'm going to take a *****.
- cdgarcia1979, on 10/12/2007, -2/+0I SECOND THAT "SuckMyDigg"!!! That was a waste of twenty minutes. That was twenty minutes of "I'm SOOO better than everyone in this auditorium because I've made/been in (sucky) movies."
- WanderLink, on 10/12/2007, -3/+1I've already seen this video, but it's a hilarious story so I'm gonna Digg it.
- bergur1, on 10/12/2007, -4/+1The end was the best when he starts talking about the spider again.
- SuckMyDigg, on 10/12/2007, -4/+1Ok Mateo you *****. That's 20 minutes I'll never get back. I NEEDED to hear that like I needed a castration.
- shunter99, on 10/12/2007, -5/+2wow, it's amazing how many of you would suck kevin smiths dick if given the chance
- stinkypyper, on 10/12/2007, -6/+2@brstilson
Actually I decided that after I saw the movie, and like all Kevin Smith movies(except Dogma) it's two hours of my life I will never get back.
Funny guy, but couldn't direct his way out of a paper bag. - hcteks, on 10/12/2007, -5/+0Was this not on the front page last night..
- theokandroid, on 10/12/2007, -7/+2I dunno he also made Batman Begins, which was awesome. Probably couldn't get in the way of Christopher Nolan's genious.
- cablefish, on 10/12/2007, -15/+2Kevin Smith pirates you!
