- Waterispoison, on 10/12/2007, -2/+115It's not impossible. I used to bullseye womprats in my T-16 back home. They're not much bigger than 2 meters.
- jewdiknight, on 10/12/2007, -3/+58I need to do magic tricks in Japan. Did you see how excited those girls were, I could get so much Japanese loving that way.
- foxymcfox, on 10/12/2007, -4/+38@fateisajester: "There's no such thin as magic. Only very gullible simple minded people." Get over yourself. If you think that "simple minded" people are the only ones fooled by magic and illusion, think again. Generally, the smarter and more well-off someone is, the more they are led astray and thus fooled. Those who are more educated tend to over-think problems. To be simple minded, however, is to be like a child, who, as experience will tell any kids party magician, are actually the hardest to fool. Children and supposedly simple minded people think about things in a simple way, which generally leads you to the correct answer.
I design illusions, and when I do, I'm not trying to trick the many supposedly smart people out there, they'll take care of themselves, I am trying to fool the one "simple minded" guy in the audience, because his is the hardest mind to convince and fool.
You pseudo-intellectuals that pretend not to be impressed by anything because you perceive it to be below you, are a funny bunch. Just accept it for what it is, entertainment...good entertainment at that, which is rare these days. - Urusai, on 10/12/2007, -0/+29Every Japanese show has a bunch of credulous, giggling, high-pitched bimbos. It's required by the contract with the Japanese Giggle Girl Happy Good Labor Union.
- tuxidomasx, on 10/12/2007, -5/+28they love you long time
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -4/+26im in ur table, hidin' your coinz

Quote from mikejonas:
"The coin trick is done by palming the coin. As for the saltshaker: The table is rigged with a sliding glass top with a hole in it (the glass extends into the section of the table to the magician's left). The three women at the table with him are accomplices (the real "live" audience is the other people in the restaurant, a safe distance away). The other objects on the glass (cigarette box, cup and saucer) are mounted in such a way that they won't move with the sliding glass, reinforcing the illusion. Watch his left hand and listen carefully between 2:20 and 2:30 on the clip--he's sliding the glass so that the hole (hidden under his left palm) moves to the center of the table. After he pulls the saltshaker through, the hole is quickly slid back into its hiding place, passing surreptitiously under his left arm. Very impressively pulled off, but he's not Kitty Pryde's long-lost cousin. Anyway, did anyone notice Jimmie Walker in the talk show panel (in the P-in-P) watching the trick?" - astrosmash, on 10/12/2007, -1/+13No way, man. There was no hole in the glass. It was Magic!
- foolfromhell, on 10/12/2007, -0/+12Must belong to the Magicians Alliance. He can never give out his secrets.
- EmancipatedJake, on 10/12/2007, -1/+12I don't care how he did it I just give him props for all those Japanese honeys....... Don't ruin the only thing he has.
- Crusty, on 10/12/2007, -1/+12@Waterispoison: If I could, I'd dig your comment about 30 times.
- tutivlahos, on 10/12/2007, -0/+10The one with the coins, i think I have an idea of how is it done. But the salt shaker, WOW.
Same trick, coins only: http://youtube.com/watch?v=agtNaiPxaOc
It's called Melting Point. - zephc, on 10/12/2007, -0/+9What sort of witchcraft is this?!
- Takteek, on 10/12/2007, -4/+13Oh.. and then it smooths out and buffs itself after the trick?
- monkeyman08854, on 10/12/2007, -7/+14Smoke and mirrors my friends, Smoke and mirrors.
- reddevil3, on 10/12/2007, -1/+8More like,
3. Slip salt shaker through stainless glass...
4. ???
5. Get laid! - steve693, on 10/12/2007, -1/+8Illusions Michael! A trick is something a whore does for money.
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -2/+9no offense, but get over yourself
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -1/+7@ snlildude
let's hope - cyberscape2, on 10/12/2007, -0/+5Hell yes.
- pencilneck, on 10/12/2007, -0/+5I'm in the same boat with tutivlahos... the coin bit isn't that hard to figure out if you have some basic understanding of magic. But I'm not coming up with any answers about the salt shaker unless the "lets move all over the ***** place" camera work has anything to do with the trick.
- caspy7, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3Yes, and I'm sure the Anti-christ will begin his reign by slipping salt shakers through glass tables.
We will all be wowed into submission by his ability to make birds disappear and levitate himself. After which all nation's leaders will hand over absolute control just so he'll do that thing where he pulls the girl apart again. - EzarKun, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3Wow, so many giggling chicks waiting to get laid.
I am doing my B.Eng
If I do super good, like 10.0 CGPA, will I get laid? - TheAkolyte, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2I'm not sure either, but even if the camera work has nothing to do with it, it's totally unacceptable to do that in a magic trick.
- pentomino, on 10/12/2007, -1/+3I saw Criss Angel do a similar trick on Mindfreak. There was a part you could do at home, and a badass part he kept secret. This was the badass part he kept secret.
Slamming a salt or pepper shaker through a table is kind of neat, and can be done at many restaurants as an impromptu trick, but it doesn't have the dramatic impact of Penn Jillette's famous trick of using a fork and a palmed coffee creamer container to make it look like you've stuck a fork in your eye. - eltomate, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2It's stuff like this that gets me excited at the prospect of 'magic'...and then I remember that it is only slight of hand, and then I'm sad again. I wish magic was real *sigh*.
But that's pretty interested anyway. - gotcheaprice, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2As in the video info, I'm pretty sure hes half Japanese half French(or a white)
- tuxidomasx, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2from the original trick manufacturer:
Important points on Melting Point:
* It can be done initially on an opaque surface, and finally the second time on a plate glass or transparent plastic surface so that everybody can "see" how it works
* Almost any surface can be used... any glass table, glass door, etc.
* Extremely clean.
* Easy method.
* No sleeves
* Can be done with many other coins and objects like candy (ideal for kids magic!)
* No special ring (jewelry) is needed
* The technique can be used to perform other magic miracles
* Works for impromptu, close up, and even stage magic with bigger coins or objects
so it looks like its not really a trick table. and prolly not a trick object/coin either... hmmmm... - StickWST, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2That will be a real organization, give it 3-4 months. XEC show on Spike will be forced to have stadiums. Full of giggling girls
- tuxidomasx, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2yea. i looked for like 3 minutes. i found some similar tricks, but not this exact vid.
*shrugs* - snlildude87, on 10/12/2007, -2/+4I'm pretty sure that was a joke.
- Mirag3, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2@Waterispoison
You, sir, are a god. - Desolite, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2you mean you play on a women's baseball team?
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2I think he was referring to one of the most dugg comments when this was posted before. Some guy was claiming fake and said you can see him hide the coin in his other hand. The response was "Then where the ***** did he put the salt shaker"? Search when this was originally posted and read the comments. Hilarious read.
- qwertydvorak, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2think prison smuggling. ouch
- Orangeair, on 10/12/2007, -1/+3Impossible! No ship that small has a cloaking device!
- tektalk, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2A Witch! burn him!
- im12env, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2Quantum Physics!
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2That first coin trick he did is elementary stuff.
- tutivlahos, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2Wrong reply.
- JCPicache, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1...or candy.
- Xageroth, on 10/12/2007, -1/+2The anti-christs greatest trick would be existing.
- TechLaw, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1How did he do it, Penn Jillette probably says it best. It is not magic, it is hard work. You learn or think up a trick, then you practice your ass off until you can do it.
- jenx, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1This is what I think...
With the coins, he's got 2 coins, presumably. He keeps it between 2 fingers. If you watch, he never moves his middle, ring and pinky fingers.. They're kept tightly together. So he has a coin in each hand.. and "magically", the one coin that we see on top of the table goes through the glass.. but no, it doesn't really. He just slips the coin out from between his fingers on his hand under the table and voila, it's in his hand. I doubt it's a sticky substance. - rocko_stazetti, on 10/12/2007, -2/+3"Then where the ***** did he put the salt shaker"?
- wslack, on 10/12/2007, -1/+2Note the odd height his hand has when he finishes with the saltshaker - perspective has a large role in this.
Not that I can see anything beyond that, but it's a start. - sevenhelmets, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Do you have a link for that info? I'd be interested to check out the "original trick manufacturer"
- Raider8654, on 10/12/2007, -1/+2he has two coins and the hand above the table picks up the one you saw the first time around with a sticky substance and then while he's covering the hand below with that one he then makes the other coin appear which causes you to think that there is an illusion when in reality there isn't only the fact that he makes it seem like there is is what causes you to think it's real but it really isn't though and that's why he makes all those people make funny japanese laughter.
but watching the video made me dizzy with the poor film quality. - tutivlahos, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1"it's totally unacceptable to do that in a magic trick."
I'm 90% sure that the camera work has something to do with the trick.
That's how it is most times, with Copperfield, Blaine, Chris Angel, etc...
There are certain tricks that has a very sensitive viewing angle.
As for the coin trick. One word for you guys: RING. - artofwar420, on 10/12/2007, -4/+5Hellz yez.
