- AK911Carrera, on 08/30/2008, -2/+73So why did he kill his wife exactly?
- sittered, on 08/30/2008, -3/+74His kids were downstairs. That's just sick.
- shoutspamsucks, on 08/30/2008, -1/+64I really can't help wondering why... Such a waste
- EnjoyTheFact, on 08/30/2008, -1/+61"And in the most unsophisticated chokehold that any judo instructor would completely despise you for ever using, I choked her."
That is the creepiest part of it for me because it just shows the mindset this guy has. He's still worried about vanity even when it's about choking his wife to death. - mrnovicane, on 08/30/2008, -0/+52http://i37.tinypic.com/2i8uf77.jpg
Creepy! - cloviejr, on 08/30/2008, -1/+48You'd think the guy would have had enough class to finish digging a shallow grave for his wife's corpse in a single night. "Nah, I'm beat, I'll hit it again tomorrow. She's good in the duffel bag." Lazy *****.
- Pegritz, on 08/30/2008, -10/+47"Least painful way to die," my ass. Choking ain't no joke--it's a HORRIBLE way to die.
- blankman, on 08/30/2008, -1/+37No, it really was a pretty painless way to die. Pressure to both corroded arteries will render the victim unconscious within a few seconds.
Real choking, where you crush the windpipe shut is the painful way. - bucketofeels, on 08/30/2008, -4/+38***** OFF WITH YOUR "AFTER THE JUMP" YOU *****.
- inactive, on 08/30/2008, -1/+35Ya it is kind of sad how the court seems to always give custody to the mom especially if she was out ***** some one else and thy still gave it to her. I mean in this case he was a murderar ,but i have seen good dads get there kids given to bad moms.
- xxpor, on 08/30/2008, -3/+37He even looks creepy as hell..
- kiantech, on 08/30/2008, -0/+33This was a really bad interview.
- Onyxblaze, on 08/30/2008, -1/+32... he didn't choker her, he cut off her blood supply. Learn some biology.
- moresheth, on 08/30/2008, -1/+29Don't be so sure of that. Check out the last column:
http://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Comparis ... - algaeturd, on 08/30/2008, -8/+36If it's so painless, let's hope they perform the same maneuver on him to illustrate exactly how 'painless' it is to be choked to death by a ***** murderer.
- Kruse, on 08/30/2008, -3/+28What a sick *****.
- mashimaro82, on 08/30/2008, -0/+25A juror said the motives were clear:
"The 31-year-old wife had an affair with the defendant's best friend. And days before the murder, child welfare workers accused Reiser of being more than $10,000 in arrears in child-support. Jurors also noted that Reiser was frantically calling a local politician in a bid to change the family court system, which he blamed for initially giving full legal custody to Nina..."

- inactive, on 08/30/2008, -0/+17Yes, I miss the days when murderers were classy!
- natastna2, on 08/30/2008, -3/+18Yeah, when I kill my wives, I send the kids next door.
- mentaldingo, on 08/30/2008, -1/+16because murder alone is not sick, right?
- MetalGear7, on 08/30/2008, -0/+13I don't know about you, but the dead body in the first paragraph was unpleasant
- HappyScrappy, on 08/30/2008, -1/+14She was already dead. If he wanted to show any kind of respect for her, I would prefer he did it by not killing her, instead of simply carrying through better on the murder.
- maxwashere, on 08/30/2008, -2/+15Justifiable homicide? Uh...
- Dev23, on 08/30/2008, -2/+14"Just shoot the *****..."
I love the people on this planet... I really do. - dannyboy3020, on 08/30/2008, -1/+13It's still a ***** annoying thing to say.
- chakl, on 08/30/2008, -0/+12they were in the middle of a heated divorce and she was trying to take everything from him. By the way his best friend is an admitted serial killer, and there are all these life and death references in reiser FS
- Jack8274, on 08/30/2008, -2/+13Quite true, the legal system is quite biased towards woman, but in honesty the majority of fathers would have some trouble under the pressure of child care.
- basevillin, on 08/30/2008, -0/+11It's called a blood choke; you lose consciousness in 4-10 seconds. It doesn't even restrict your breathing.
- subliminalurge, on 08/31/2008, -0/+10No, it's not.
This is what happens when psychopaths fall in love. - JohnnySoftware, on 08/30/2008, -0/+10Oh. So that's what a "journaling file system" is.
- LeviTheSmith, on 08/30/2008, -0/+10Report received! Thanks.
- ineptsavant, on 08/30/2008, -9/+19wow, I never knew all the details. So sad. Makes me feel guilty having used resierFS on many of my sql servers.
- JohnnySoftware, on 08/30/2008, -0/+9"Least" is a superlative.
Has he tried them all? - Mononuclear, on 08/30/2008, -0/+9It isn't hard to have the "after the jump" or "click here to read the rest of the story" or simply "more" on the front page but not in the actual article. It is retarded to have it in the middle of an article when there isn't actually a jump.
- frontporsche, on 08/30/2008, -0/+8Not to agree or disagree with Huertanix, but I don't see the logical fallacy. Huertanix basically says that it's clear why she would cheat on Reiser -- because he's a prick -- as evidenced by his bitching in the Linux kernel archives.
- paulmer2003, on 08/30/2008, -0/+8To linux? To humanity.
- nullstyle, on 08/30/2008, -1/+9It's not completely painless; there's a lot of pressure in your head, your vision closes down to a point, and then you're out. I imagine the worst part for her was the dread, rather than the physical pain. Give that to Hans, choking him to death would be too kind.
Yes, I've been choked unconscious before. - inactive, on 08/31/2008, -0/+8i will still use reiserfs though. Code doesn't kill people, programmers do.
- huertanix, on 08/30/2008, -4/+11Resier was a prick. Read through some of the Linux kernel development archives on his incessant bitching about how the kernel was WRONG and needed to be changed to accommodate ReiserFS, and you'll understand exactly why she would cheat on this douche.
- inactive, on 08/30/2008, -0/+7I detest After The Jump, It really really ***** annoys me too (in fact I left a comment a while back on another thread saying similar). Its so ***** annoying. Along with slew. A slew of this or whatever.
- duckwaltz, on 08/30/2008, -0/+6Exactly what I intended to post. Well put.
- Buraken, on 08/30/2008, -1/+7Any reports as to why he killed his wife? I really don't want to read the .pdf it sounds so horrible.
Agree with the fella a few posts above me, just shoot the *****, throw him to the pigs. - algaeturd, on 08/30/2008, -1/+7"MEH" ALERT, "MEH" ALERT!!! Apathy mixed with stupidity is a dangerous combination.
- Lith25, on 08/30/2008, -0/+6"Least Painful" ... I really doubt that. I'm betting being in the epicenter of a nuclear explosion would be far more painless.
I guess there could of been many more painful ways he could of killed her...but it doesn't change the fact he's a sick person. - fprintf, on 08/30/2008, -0/+6As others have said, he did not choke her. The article, both Hans and the investigator, use the term choke. But if he indeed applied pressure to the arteries, would that still be as painful as the choke holds you have endured? I don't know.
- WesleyD, on 08/31/2008, -0/+6Blood choke isn't painful at all.
In the military we had to learn the proper technique for blood choking, and we each had a partner who we would practice the move on and vice versa, of course we tap out before we go unconscious.
It happens pretty quick, just imagine falling asleep with your eyes open within a couple of seconds.
The only bad thing about that is you get a horrible headache afterwards if it is done repeatedly in a short amount of time. - irgeorge, on 08/31/2008, -0/+6From what I can tell, he sees himself as some great mastermind criminal who was only thwarted by incredible skill on the part of the investigating officers. Incredible sociopathic arrogance.
- ortucis, on 08/30/2008, -1/+7"Yes, I've been choked unconscious before."
Nice. - 4321234, on 08/31/2008, -1/+6auto-erotic asphyxiation?
