- mysql101, on 07/16/2009, -1/+22Isn't ripping off people illegal?
- bigthree, on 07/16/2009, -1/+19wait you can buy miracles?? I wonder if I tell the mortgage company that I paid for my mortgage debt to be cleared by God if they will leave me alone. I'll just show them this video to prove to them that they will be taken care of.
- mrbbad, on 07/17/2009, -1/+18God needs your money?
I'm thinking he could, you know, make his own if he wanted...just a thought... - gozroth, on 07/17/2009, -2/+14Sounds like some kind of Cult of Scientology campaign.
- inactive, on 07/17/2009, -1/+12maybe they're not anti-christian so much as anti-scam?
- Aeron, on 07/17/2009, -2/+12because 99% of the "christians" aren't actually christians, they're idiot hypocrites. Doesn't the Bible say there's supposed to be ONE body/group under Christ? Why are there thousands of different denominations that all believe a slightly different thing, and all think they are the one that's right? They are doing their own thing. Probably none of them are right. They aren't even christains, they often just think they are and make fools of themselves.
- BenInEden, on 07/17/2009, -2/+9I can't speak for everyone ... but I can tell you why I don't particularly like Christianity anymore. I was born and raised in a pretty strict christian household and eventually due to many reasons (ultimately philosophical) I declined to continue to attend.
And I would let it go and say to each his own ... except ... Christians preach thinly veiled hate:
- Hate for gays
- Hate for those who aren't baptized, saved, in the covenant
- Hate for liberals
- Hate for feminists and intellectuals
So I make a stand. I say it's morally wrong to support many of the ideals of Christianity. Sure there are some good bits. But I'm not going to endorse the bad bits. - inactive, on 07/17/2009, -0/+7He doesn't NEED your money, he WANTS you to show that you love him by giving up something that you value, as a symbolic gesture of your devotion.
So he's not greedy, he's just insecure. - Coling2k2, on 07/17/2009, -0/+7I love how the camera goes to that woman who moves her eyes sideways with a massively skeptical look
- inactive, on 07/17/2009, -0/+6I mean, you've got to spend money to make money, right?
- profschwann, on 07/17/2009, -0/+6This is what tithing should look like:
http://blogs.usatoday.com/ondeadline/2009/05/churc ... - xenuxenuts, on 07/17/2009, -1/+7If a preacher makes over 6 figures, he's a con artist.
- Contrarius, on 07/17/2009, -0/+5Most religions have the same principles...control and steal
- yocouchdigga, on 07/17/2009, -3/+8because humanity's finally starting to grow up and see the light.
- RadioShack, on 07/17/2009, -2/+7People are ***** retarded!

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RNy6ziOyxoA - Bluesky0010, on 07/17/2009, -1/+5Sounds like preacher man is running low on money lately and isn't to happy about it ;).
- xero69, on 07/17/2009, -2/+6Jesus help me... with calculating the interest on my magical spiritual credit card with rates that rise up like Jesus did from the grave. Praise him! Amen.
- inactive, on 07/17/2009, -0/+4Not if they don't think they're being ripped off...
- Yawgmoth, on 07/17/2009, -0/+4nonono it's cause he gives ALL of his money to god, so he has more. See the more you give to god, the more you get. That's why he has so much. pFFFT DUH
(do I really need a /s? ) - Contrarius, on 07/17/2009, -0/+4If I believed in Hell, he would be in the deepest, darkest level of it.
- inactive, on 07/17/2009, -1/+5I look forward to the day that these mountebanks are but a memory of a dark age.
- Lunarparcel, on 07/17/2009, -0/+3Showing his true colors. Preying on the desperate. This kind of ***** is worse than check cashing outfits and high-percentage loan sharks. This clown doesn't offer any fine-print in which to explain how he's screwing you over.
- ORDtoLAX, on 07/17/2009, -2/+5God listens...
To Slayer! - ModernGeek, on 07/17/2009, -0/+3Most ripoff organizations are non profit. Non profit "debt consolidation services" that are simply collection agencies for banks, faith based media stations who accept "donations" from companies and for their "donation" they are "mentioned" on the network. Most CEOs of non profit organizations are rich, and they don't have any shareholders to report to!
- WickedKoala, on 07/17/2009, -0/+3And don't forget to continue tithing.
- swicepick, on 07/17/2009, -0/+3Why does God need a starship?
Come on... Star Trek V anybody? - 312139, on 07/17/2009, -1/+4See there's where the problem lies vagabond, your hatred is disguised as love. You take a condescending view on the people you don't like or agree with and call it love. "I don't hate the liberals/gays/minorities/feminists, I just think I'm right and they're wrong, and I am going to try my hardest to make them believe the way I do." And if that little plan of "love" doesn't work, then you just want to snatch rights away. I'm tired of this message of love propagated by Christians; as far as I'm concerned, it's as bad or worse than outright hatred.
- Metavised, on 07/17/2009, -1/+4Or, maybe donate to your local woman's shelter to actually help those women and not curry favor with your imaginary friend.
I doubt that if there was a moral God interested in our finances he'd look lovingly at the person donating for such selfish reasons. - nard3456, on 07/17/2009, -0/+3So the reason I'm in debt is because I'm using my money to pay off my debts instead of giving it to god...
That makes sense. - sageerrant, on 07/17/2009, -1/+4The terms are far too often interchangeable.
- Gumphlumph, on 07/17/2009, -1/+3"Don't forget to give generously ladies and gentlemen, the preacher needs a new Escalade to get to church every morning...and as I lay my hands upon you, I say - demons be gone!"
- MrTea, on 07/17/2009, -0/+2ask a lawyer
- inactive, on 07/17/2009, -0/+2No, otherwise there would be no Advertising and the entertainment industry would collapse.
- GREEDOnvrFIRED, on 07/17/2009, -1/+3God provided the battered women as well. How do I know his response won't be send more of them?
- xenuxenuts, on 07/17/2009, -0/+2too bad he used pirate bay to get it, the cheap bastard.
- blitzkriegpunk, on 07/17/2009, -1/+3lol wut?
- Gloony, on 07/17/2009, -0/+2<music> I believe I can buy, I believe I can touch the market high </music>
etc. - pyrite013, on 07/17/2009, -0/+2Spiritual finance sounds a lot like praying to god you don't lose your house.
- Klinky, on 07/17/2009, -2/+4Seriously ripping people off goes on all the time it's called "for profit business"...
- MacEnvy, on 07/17/2009, -0/+2*cue Uhura fan dance*
- Klinky, on 07/17/2009, -0/+2Meh, that's just a tax status, technically that sector is making a ~profit~ by misleading people. The vast majority of advertising misleads people. Most business plans can be boiled down to "Grow profits while lowering product quality, cost & working conditions..."
- Kitakaze, on 07/17/2009, -0/+2Not if it is done in the name of religion.
- Paranor01, on 07/17/2009, -1/+3lol I always get a kick out of the Christian !right who hate liberals.
If they only would realize that if you look at all of the teachings of Jesus, you can tell that Jesus himself was a liberal ! lol - sageerrant, on 07/17/2009, -0/+2He should tithe more.
- sndream, on 07/17/2009, -0/+2Listen all, ppl, the omnipotent NEED you to send him all your money so that he can pay back the subprime mortgage on heaven, otherwise heaven will be foreclosed soon.
- grantmoore3d, on 07/17/2009, -1/+3I had a friend in University who's father was a pastor. He bought my friend his own brand new condo downtown, all new furniture, paid for his tuition, gave him spending money (which he spent on booze trying to get laid), and all sorts of expensive toys. Either his father can cure cancer, or he is the cancer of society.
- sageerrant, on 07/17/2009, -0/+2Which bastard buried that?
I would be much more okay with organized religion if it always worked to the benefit of the community like that.
Of course, the whole god part is optional at that point. - nard3456, on 07/17/2009, -0/+2Giving my money away to charities is somehow going to magically get rid of my debt? Don't get me wrong giving money to charities is a good thing that everyone should do, but seriously, it's not going to make my debt shrink.
