- sockpuppets, on 06/05/2009, -3/+67What a ***** that is. Poor woman will never be normal again.
- Temlakos, on 06/05/2009, -2/+54So the husband had a fantasy about someone *other than himself* committing rape on his wife? Bad enough for a man to take his own wife by that kind of surprise--but to involve a third party? That doesn't even make sense. Why did he marry her? What was he thinking? *Was* he thinking?
- JasonHaley, on 06/05/2009, -0/+45"...rape-for-hire is the latest black mark against Craigslist"
Craiglist doesn't kill people. Psychos wishing rape on their own wives kill people. - emecks, on 06/05/2009, -2/+35utterly horrific, the only positive part of the whole story is that she has custody of her children, hopefully their love will help give her strength to cope.
- walgman, on 06/05/2009, -0/+29I'm sure the actual rapist will plead he thought he was acting out a fantasy. Who knows maybe he actually did think that. He did take a knife with him though.
- Spindig, on 06/05/2009, -1/+27Unbelievable.
FTA: "Adams said the couple's children, ages 1 and 4, were asleep at the time of the attack" - techdever, on 06/05/2009, -2/+22guess you can really find -anything- on craigslist
- fearthefin, on 06/05/2009, -1/+21What. The. *****.
- RagManX, on 06/05/2009, -1/+21I'm going to make a wild ass guess here that she had no idea he was a twisted ***** when she agreed to marry him.
- MooseOfReason, on 06/05/2009, -3/+21"Police in North Carolina are hunting for a man they believe raped a woman at knifepoint."
"She was definitely not a willing participant," Kannapolis Police Capt. Chuck Adams told ABCNews.com today."
No offense, but Captain Redundancy FTW. - Wareznuke, on 06/05/2009, -0/+17The "rapist" has a really good defense on his part. He only needs to state that he was hired by the man and to act out the part as accurately as possible. The rapist probably thought, "What kind of husband would actually have his wife unwillingly raped".
- GoatMonkey2112, on 06/05/2009, -1/+17"I'll take 'the rapist' for $500"
- zeth006, on 06/05/2009, -0/+16Are you sure about that one? Please reread your comment.
- jwolcott, on 06/05/2009, -1/+15You can find anything on the internet. For $10 I can find you a midget willing to shove his head up your ass and blow bubbles.
- inactive, on 06/05/2009, -3/+17he will get raped in jail....karma comes around
- dlan4327, on 06/05/2009, -2/+14The fact that's it's so easy to find & hire a rapist scares me. A lot.
- idamonster, on 06/05/2009, -1/+12The husband is also the sicko. He organised it and watched. If you don't think that's sick, seek help.
- falconear, on 06/05/2009, -0/+10You're right, it's the first thing I thought of when I heard the story. OK, I had to dig (npi) for it since their plotlines shift more than the Simpsons, but check this out:

Episode 10021 | Season 10 | 05/19/2009
A woman calls the police reporting a rape, and Stabler and Benson begin their investigation. The accused is lying in a hospital bed with cuts and bruises from where his victim, Pam, defended herself during the attack. Her attacker, Owen, tells Stabler that he was only answering an online ad posted by a woman who had a rape fantasy. Pam is appalled by Owen's claims. But, a search through Pam's computer proves she really did solicit on a fantasy rape site.
Crazy, huh? - dn90, on 06/05/2009, -1/+11This guy totally bit the idea from last week's Law & Order SVU episode.
- diggadigga, on 06/05/2009, -3/+12To all of those who are going to make a rape joke: ***** YOU. Rape ISN'T funny, unless you're getting raped by a clown, then it's hilarious
- idamonster, on 06/05/2009, -0/+8Perhaps, but her husband would need to be a bit mentally ill to think she really wanted to be raped at knifepoint by surprise by a stranger in her bed with her kids in the next room.
- diggit08, on 06/05/2009, -1/+9What a bastard. He obviously had more interest in fulfilling his own desire than any concern for his wife what so every. Rape is the kind of ***** that stays with you for life and by inflicting this pain on his wife he has most likely ***** her up beyond any help.
Imagine someone you think you love paying someone else to come in and violate you with a knife whilst your children sleep in the room next door and your "partner" watches?
My money is on that he tried to convince her not to report it to police and thats why it took 2 hours for her to actually call the police. - jrburkh, on 06/05/2009, -0/+8I'm not saying this makes it okay, but I wonder if the woman told her husband she had a rape fantasy, and he just didn't get it. Rape fantasies are actually quite common, although this doesn't mean women have a real desire to be raped (as with many fantasies).
- sathias, on 06/05/2009, -1/+9Well I guess he won't have to organise rapists on Craig's List where hes going.
- ChuyMatt, on 06/05/2009, -0/+8I would still say he was a rapist, btw. Just not what he intended to be with this act. I wonder if he was thinking "wow, she is really into her part!"
I just realized: he could actually be charged for prostitution with the fact he was paid to perform a sex act. - walgman, on 06/05/2009, -1/+8Trouble is the sick bastard will probably enjoy it.
- restlessmouse, on 06/05/2009, -0/+7In the backseat of his car with 20 other clowns looking on.
- enrq, on 06/05/2009, -2/+9wow. rape aside, it's gonna be nearly impossible for her to trust anyone ever again. ***** up.
hopefully she gets help and can recover from this. they should tattoo what he did on his forehead; that'll make him popular in prison. - stephpas, on 06/05/2009, -0/+6Are you for real? A sick ***** who rapes for money/for free is a sick ***** no-doubt about it - but that's not what is going to traumatise the wife the most in all of this, it's the fact that her husband (who one assumes she loves) betrayed her trust and the sanctity of their home as a personal safe-haven for herself and her family, and that is what will haunt her the most. People who have been attacked often try to hide themselves away - where is she to go if she can't even fully trust being in her house, and her home being the scene of the crime?
Molocaust - either you take that on board, or you're an idiot. - mefromafar, on 06/05/2009, -1/+7Sick as it sounds but this was an episode of Law and Order a few weeks back. Almost word for word.
- LADIESCREVICE, on 06/05/2009, -0/+6um, speaking of warped minds, Vaseline and ground glass?
- commenter01, on 06/05/2009, -0/+6i hope the kids aren't as ***** up as their dad...
- inactive, on 06/05/2009, -1/+6THERAPIST! Not 'The Rapist!'
- s0nicfreak, on 06/05/2009, -2/+6"Getting married does not mean you are consenting to any type of sex for the rest of your life," she said.
Woah woah wait a damn minute here... - PeanutCheeseBar, on 06/05/2009, -0/+4That's ***** up.
- thenorwegian, on 06/05/2009, -2/+6burn him
- mwanurism, on 06/05/2009, -2/+6Sicko!
- enrq, on 06/05/2009, -0/+4everyone knows bubbles are extra
- idamonster, on 06/05/2009, -1/+5What is up with the cop saying there was 'no physical injury'? Since when is rape injury free? Idiot.
- jwolcott, on 06/05/2009, -3/+6cuz he ignored for long enough.
- DPDish12, on 06/05/2009, -0/+3That doesn't even make sense.
- maz2331, on 06/05/2009, -0/+3Except in Afghanistan...
- inactive, on 06/05/2009, -0/+3What wonderful insight 1town. I'm going to reciprocate, you probably ate a lot of paint chips as a child, didn't you?
- emjaysea, on 06/05/2009, -0/+2Um, yeah, while the article contends the man was trying to feed his sexual fantasy, I'm going to go ahead and say, rape isn't about sex, nor was this. If he doesn't absolutely hate his wife, I would be surprised.
- vapn420, on 06/05/2009, -0/+2His wife should hire someone in jail to rape him by knife point.
- diggadigga, on 06/05/2009, -0/+2happened to me when I visiting the circus, I couldn't stop laughing
- momedefome, on 06/05/2009, -0/+2What a ***** sick bastard!!! Lock his ass up now
- mythicflux, on 06/05/2009, -0/+2"...but her husband would need to be a bit mentally ill to think..."
I think his actions prove this point already. - ChuyMatt, on 06/08/2009, -0/+2"physical injury." we were talking about Physical Injury.
