this step is interesting:
Hire a specialized private tutor. This person could teach your child music, foreign language, or some area that is missing in your child’s present public school curriculum. Not only will this broaden your child’s experience tremendously .....yadda yadda yadda
The fact of the matter is that what is missing is probably GRAMMAR, READING, ARITHMETIC. Yes, by all means, get the tutor, but don't have the tutor teach your child the frills. Your child is missing out on THE BASICS if you are relying on public school. So have the tutor teach the basics to your child. If you can afford it, go for it, and your child will skyrocket past his classmates who are really getting about zero instruction in today's "progressive" schools.
