The family is hoping for volunteers to help search the area as it is a wide area in the middle of no where....also....you ever been to New Mexico? Not exactly the most progressive/forward thinking/fast to react state. It was only a little earlier this week the police officially classified him as missing and everything that is being done or released is being checked and ok'd through them first. That sometimes takes time.

- aircat, on 04/25/2008, -0/+4What concerns me is there has been little follow-up on the local TV news programs about Mr. Romero. I'm in Albuquerque and try to watch at least one news program a night. Haven't heard anything in a week on this. El Malpais is very rugged, a bad place to get lost. Although I will be unable to join Saturday's search, I will be thinking of Mr. Romero and his family. Here's hoping he is found alive.
