- Akaji, on 10/12/2007, -7/+218That's pretty cool... although it also makes me wonder why women need so many different freaking shirts (or outfits, or whatever you want to call them). I don't think I saw the same clothing twice throughout that entire period.
- jtcalhoun, on 10/12/2007, -0/+126This is interesting, but not nearly as dramatic as the series of pictures this family took over the course of 30 years:

- TheWestExit, on 10/12/2007, -18/+126She changes her clothing everyday, but keeps the same stupid part in her hair for 3 years?
- wistar, on 10/12/2007, -4/+102Aren't all movies photos in sequence?
- CiXeL, on 10/27/2007, -8/+99Maybe she can document the asian aging enigma where asian girls look like 15 year old schoolgirls till theyre 35 and then suddenly start looking like they're 90.
- LegendarySock, on 10/27/2007, -3/+88This would make the best YTMND ever.
"Chinese girl doesn't change facial expressions (for 3 years)" - bcdynamic, on 10/12/2007, -1/+81You say "no digg" but yet your profile shows you as having dugg the story.
- dillonthomas, on 10/12/2007, -2/+80Over one thousand images...
Over one three hundred outfits...
Three pairs of glasses...
ONE asian.
What I found incredible was how the size of her eyes and much of her face stayed in the same area of the camera, and same size, etc. throughout the film. My eyes are NEVER open the same height all the time.
Fantastic video. A+.
Can anyone find a link to the music? It's rad. - josegutz, on 10/12/2007, -10/+82It would've been cool if she had been eating some kind of chips while doing this. Like everyday have the chip in a certain position then the next put it up a few inches on the next frame... you know where I'm going... So it looks like she's eating chips while her clothes are changing around her.
- dmach27, on 10/12/2007, -5/+62very cool and mesmerizing, although having to wait about 10 minutes for atomfilms.com to load wasn't cool.
- dustedbunny, on 10/12/2007, -5/+59Every single comment you've posted today seems to be "marked as lame. whaaawhaawhaa."

plus I wouldn't call her a girl, but thats just me - MOJIRA, on 05/17/2008, -0/+40She hasn't changed much in 3 years. I really like how steady the eyes and mouth/general face is/are; how they stay in pretty much the same position. Could be a lot of work if she did it all at once, but if she took a few minutes to make sure the pics were right and consistent each day then it would be quite easy.
I can't find the link, but has anyone seen the series of pics of a lady from before until after (over a few years) she was on heroine? Scary crap; reminds me of Requiem For a Dream - so fkn depressing. - KingAdrock, on 10/12/2007, -1/+39Would have been cooler if it was someone going through their early teens.. or decaying from a drug addiction or something. I didn't see much change other than outfits, lighting and hair style. Boring.. and technically speaking that could have been done over a weekend.
- TheKingInYellow, on 10/12/2007, -0/+33the reason her face and eyes are in the same place is because she (or whoever made the video) repositioned the images to be in the same place. if you know how to use after effects you can do just about anything.
look at the bottom of the video and you will catch the edges of the photos moving up and down which explains the animated positions. i personally would have cropped those out for aesthetic reasons but whatever.
i like the video and should start making one for myself. - Xinareiaz, on 10/12/2007, -0/+31Here is the blond wig, it took me forever to stop the vid in the right place to capture it, http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v721/Xg-manX/Blondie.jpg
- Jimzo, on 10/12/2007, -4/+34This supports the idea that women's looks deteriorate much more quickly than men's.
Not trying to be mean, but the father looks remarkably similar over the 30 years. - nickerbocker, on 10/12/2007, -0/+27That's right. A optical illusion that causes her hair to look long, blond and curly.
- ZenKai, on 10/12/2007, -1/+25You know, I started to do the exact same thing... but when she noticed me outside her window every morning she started calling the cops and drawing the curtains. Some people have no appreciation for art.
- dbre2, on 10/12/2007, -0/+24how long before the obligitory "...doesn't change facial expressions" ytmnd is made?
- cosmotron, on 10/12/2007, -2/+26I find it a bit sad to watch people age like that...
- Pattyo13, on 05/14/2009, -0/+22yea, why can't more people on drugs do this - o wait, they're too messed up to figure it out
- lo0ol, on 10/12/2007, -3/+25Here's the direct link to the movie nullvariable found:

I couldn't find a link, but I found some projects by the same guy, Nathan Melsted.

- tidu, on 10/12/2007, -8/+26"you look the same bitch"

Okay, this is getting to be ridiculous. I post links to aid in dillonthomas' search for the creator of that music, and I get DUGG DOWN?! I don't know what's going on with digg lately, but it seems overrun by a very backward crowd. - pheen, on 10/12/2007, -0/+17I take a picture of a girl everyday for three years and they call it stalking, she does it and it's art... where's the justice?
Cool video though. - chubbymidget, on 10/12/2007, -1/+16Very well done. That commitment to an idea.
I did notice a blonde wig flash by and also a mustache. I didn't feel like trying to scroll back but they're a little more than half way.
Cool dig - cptn_cardboard, on 10/12/2007, -0/+15"girl takes pic of hersel..."
"DIGG!" - GorGenator, on 10/12/2007, -1/+15255,423 hours
- HoboMaster, on 10/12/2007, -2/+16What's really scary about those is that the kids all have the same facial hair as the dad. Creepy.
- TheKingInYellow, on 10/12/2007, -1/+14i agree, still, it's creative and artsy.
- TenebrousX, on 10/12/2007, -1/+133 years later, still as happy as ever!
- TheBarge, on 10/12/2007, -1/+13I think that's the point. She's trying to use the same facial expression for each frame. I'm sure she just uses the day before pic to try and match or something.
- CiXeL, on 10/12/2007, -0/+12maybe i can document my receeding hairline
- Pattyo13, on 05/14/2009, -1/+12go ahead - i'll ask you how it's going in about 3 months
- uptown, on 10/12/2007, -7/+18Would it kill her to smile?
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -1/+11I thought it was pretty noticible the changes in her face.. dont think you can gain and lose 10 pounds in a weekend.
and i thought she looked as she aged a bit, anyway 3 years isnt a long time for looking at age differences..at least not dramatic ones. - gdefelice, on 10/12/2007, -1/+10ThKingInYellow: You're mistaken, there is at least one blonde wig
- natterca, on 10/12/2007, -1/+10@TheKingInYellow - you're being dugg down for being captain obvious (and an egotist).
- TechnoGuyRob, on 10/12/2007, -2/+11It would be very, very neat if a person (or rather, their parents) would start taking such pictures from the first day they were born, with them standing in the same position (as soon as they can stand, of course) every single day, under the exact same lighting conditions, and preferably nude or as close as possible (so the clothing thing doesn't become a distraction--I guess you can't do much about the hair except for possibly make the hair wet from a shower to prevent environmental differences in it). Or even do it with a whole family in the same position every single day.
I might do that with my son/daughter (assuming I'll get there) and then show it at family re-unions or something. :) - jaythree9, on 10/12/2007, -0/+9this guy has been doing it for almost 8 years:
http://www.c71123.com/daily_photo/ - adougherty, on 10/12/2007, -0/+8I'm betting it would have been really cool if it ended with a before and after shot. Seeing daily photos makes it difficult to see the minute changes in her face.
- skankyBacon, on 10/12/2007, -0/+8I think he understands that.

What is Digg?
