Now tell me why this shouldn't have been brought up again. - twotimesthru, on 11/13/2007, -16/+234I like this guy.
- BalsamLane, on 11/13/2007, -9/+149The sad part is that the House was totally empty. It was read to the same audience as a member reading a resolution to make October 3rd "Kentucky Bluegrass Day" He had the balls to do it, but it fell on deaf ears.
- IAMKOREA, on 11/13/2007, -10/+121You do realize that Kucinich and Paul are polar opposites right?
- Icebath, on 11/13/2007, -8/+103Certainly, Cheney isn't going to be impeached. There is no political will to see the impeachment through. None-the-less, Kucinich is right on the mark with this indictment. Just because the motion doesn't have a prayer of passing does not mean it isn't the right thing to do.
- inactive, on 11/13/2007, -55/+149Kucinich + Ron Paul = Revolution
- sHockz, on 11/10/2007, -5/+73Its funny, I break 1 law (speeding) and I have to pay fines, go to court, and spend a part of my life dealing with it. How many laws does the figurehead of our country have to break until he even goes to court?
He might not be impeachable at all, but that is what our court system is set up to figure out. So why don't we just run it through our system, and see what comes out. He could walk away free and clear, or he could be one of the worst criminals in history...we just need to figure it out the american way - notque, on 11/13/2007, -22/+80Kucinich is awesome. The Democrats and Republicans are the same party. If we want change, it's Kucinich and Paul.

None of our current problems will be fixed with Cheney in office because they are the way Cheney wants them to be.
- notque, on 11/10/2007, -3/+41Someone hasn't read Kucinich's views on anything but the Iraq war.
- inactive, on 11/10/2007, -9/+43dream election
kucinich vs. ron paul - ettin, on 11/10/2007, -7/+41Citizens + Weapons + Balls = Revolution.
- ranumm, on 11/10/2007, -5/+38As a previous democrat, it infuriates ME that the president has gotten away with murder, destroyed our country for many generations to come, and sits up in the WH laughing at us. Perhaps we should get a new congress, devoid of either party?
- fnaqzna, on 11/10/2007, -5/+33It's not Kucinich's fault that the Democrats have no balls. They are making themselves looks silly. Hell, even the Republicans could have profited from an impeachment proceeding. Distancing themselves from the Bush administration can't be a bad thing when Cheney's approval rating is 11% and Bush is 25%.
It could have been a win/win for both parties, but instead it's just a win for the presidency. - austenw, on 11/09/2007, -6/+32It's about time!
- Rahodeb, on 11/08/2007, -3/+26That would be a good thing. Politicians should do what the people want because they want votes, as opposed to doing what corporations want because they want money.
- TheZorch, on 11/10/2007, -5/+28Wow, I see a lot of ***** have come out of the wood work over this. I guess they want to live in a country with an oppressive government rather than support motion and/or candidates that want to make positive changes.
- lazyfisherman, on 11/10/2007, -6/+29Kucinich is crazy, crazy like a man who really doesn't make that much money, is married to a much younger woman who is incredibly intelligent and beautiful.... and also just happens to be trying to save the entire United States of America. Give him a chance to fix this country. Have you looked at the value of the dollar or the price of oil lately? The way we've been doing things isn't working....
- zachshmack, on 11/10/2007, -1/+22Attack Kucinich however you want, but I've yet to see any of you attempt to FACTUALLY refute ANY of these points in the articles of impeachment. You fail.
- inactive, on 11/10/2007, -4/+24the funny thing is that the Republican congress set up a committee specifically to find a reason to impeach Clinton, using millions of taxpayer dollars, and that's the best they could dig up.
Imagine if there was a federally funded 'impeach Bush' committee what kind of dirt they would be digging up. - TheRealAlzabo, on 11/10/2007, -11/+31Ron Paul is nothing like Kucinich, he's VERY right wing on social issues. People love him for his views on the current administration and the war, but left types would NOt like his social agenda if they were aware of it.
- techweenie1, on 11/10/2007, -6/+25Yeah oil and water all the way!
- blackjack75, on 11/10/2007, -0/+18It depends... if Ben Laden converts to christianism and says he did all for Jesus he might just as well get elected.
- Araxen, on 11/10/2007, -2/+20Ron Paul has been pretty mum on this. I thought he was for protecting the constitution? He should be one of the first in line to back Mr. Kucinich on Impeachment of Cheney and Bush.
- relaxeder, on 04/17/2009, -6/+23Its a damned shame how the wish of the majority will never be heard simply because of the partisan interests of the few in power.
Richard Cheney is a ***** criminal pig who should have been impeached and jailed already. - notque, on 11/09/2007, -8/+25If you are against the war crimes we are committing in Iraq strongly enough, either is an improvement over Hillary or Obama.

- jman34, on 11/10/2007, -11/+26I would like to second the motion made by the good senator from ohio
- bugsy187, on 11/10/2007, -5/+19 Even if that were true, who cares? Did Cheney violate the rules? Does he fit the definition of someone who should be impeached?
These sorts of impeachable offenses are extremely dangerous and irresponsible. - jefferygomer, on 11/10/2007, -1/+14I think you're suggesting to redefine the two parties under these two congressman's ideologies, right? With MOST issues, they are VERY opposite.
- TheConfusedOne, on 11/08/2007, -4/+17Thank you for posting this. I just looked up my representative on http://www.house.gov/writerep/ and called to leave a message of support for investigating Cheney's crimes. It was rather easy and painless, I urge anyone interested to do the same!
- StGhurka, on 11/10/2007, -2/+14"He might not be impeachable at all, but that is what our court system is set up to figure out."
Not to pick nits, but 1. He IS impeachable, as all presidents are, and 2, that's not up to the courts, it's up to congress.
"So why don't we just run it through our system, and see what comes out."
That sounds like an inquisition. - Couchy, on 11/08/2007, -3/+15Too bad the system is like a bumpy broken old road, and this like other important issues get stuck in potholes along the way.
- VitriolAndAngst, on 11/08/2007, -1/+12If you don't show up and fight -- you will never win. Kucinich is taking a roll call for people we can trust later. Those who don't support his motion need not be incumbents after the next election.
- rstarr, on 11/10/2007, -3/+14And thats the point. You should have many opposing views in high ranking offices so that you get well rounded policy.
- neodorian, on 11/10/2007, -6/+17I saw a spaceship. It was cool. I saw it in Florida when I was on vacation and it launched into space.
- SpeedSteamBoat, on 11/10/2007, -3/+14Protip: Passing a law that violates the constituation is ILLEGAL.
- IAMKOREA, on 11/08/2007, -4/+15Sending a message to the rest of the world that many of us don't support the criminals currently in charge isn't a good thing?
- evil-doer, on 11/10/2007, -1/+12why not support both? i think the perfect election next year would be paul vs kucinich
- adgreene, on 11/08/2007, -6/+17They both defend civil liberty.
- freezeout, on 11/08/2007, -2/+13floor was empty, he should have replaced "Dick Cheney" with "moveon.org" then we'd get a full house
- forgiste, on 11/10/2007, -1/+12And he's trying to impeach the 2 figureheads of the status quo...
- sHockz, on 11/10/2007, -1/+11i had that dream last night. boy it was a good one. the i awoke back into the nightmare we call 'reality'
- insane11, on 11/08/2007, -4/+14Too bad Ron Paul doesn't buy into the conspiracy theories but ok.
- inactive, on 11/10/2007, -5/+15Way to ignore evidence of criminality there, Tex.
- SpeedSteamBoat, on 11/09/2007, -2/+12I wish I could Digg this twice.
As I read this list, my greatest fear is that this administration has shown the apathy and impotence of the modern American citizen and thus set the stage for someone far worse to truelly take advantage of our limping constitution and core democratic values.
After all, when such grave injustices are allowed to go on unpunished, and ignored, why not try and take it a step further? Dictatorship anyone? - cloudyprison, on 11/10/2007, -1/+11Cake + Ron Paul = THERE IS NO CAKE
