I am glad that with the exception of the first and last few moments Wilders limited himself to picturing islamic extremists and kept from insulting muslims explicitly.
There is really nothing new about the islamic ideology in Geert Wilders new movie. Just a bunch of clips from MemriTV and some eyeopening pictures. Even the Quran verses he has draw his attention upon is not even in league with the really bad one.
Even though, lets spread the word, so other infidels as myself could learn a bit what the Quran teaches about us infidels.
I'm surprised that's all.
Do u wanna know what's bee going on because of this movie? check here http://www.spiegel.de/international/europe/0,1518, ...
I don't like this Geert guy, but I like my good old liberal Europe! And no ***** terrorists are gonna fear our freedom away!
This film has over 3.000.000 hits in 3 hours on liveleak only (dutch+english).. This has to be the best scoring online movie ever.. A nice TV night for us Dutch but nothing shocking..
west europeans will eventually have to fight for their freedom because muslims will be the majority there in 50 years.
east europeans will thank russia for the 50 years of communism that saved them from being flooded by muslims.
I live in the Netherlands and I had hoped he would show an unbelievable film, where he would preach love in stead of all this violence...that would have made the aggressive reactions beforehand look very pale. Too bad he just went for this route..
Not sure how this guy translated the Quran verses but you can get the approximate translations on the link below. It is very easy to pick and choose individual verses out of context to add spin. http://www.usc.edu/dept/MSA/quran/
TOO Bad that islam is nothing from what is on the movie
go learn a thing or two, learn to read arabic yourself and then read the quran
go watch a video of a normal muslim person explaining the words in english compared to an extremist and youll see a big difference
some people are just sad and ignorant...
You can skew any religion, race, or group of people by bringing up wackos and extremists...
racism/ stereotypes of a population of people that are 1.2 Billion+ in this world (20% of the population) or 1 out of every 5 people is a very convenient way to spread fear
This movie is pretty intolerant. In Canada everybody respects each other's differences. I know many many Muslim people and they are all cool people. The people referred to in this are a very small minority of fundamentalists and extremists... Christian fundamentalists and extremists are just as bad! (Also, the guy using his real name at the end was not a wise decision.)
So what is so Blasphemous? only the TRUTH ............using Muslims Own Words and Verses of Koran, so is it, their not so secret plan, "to take over the world", that they don't want us to know about? WAKE UP EUROPE ..............WAKE UP AMERICA.......WAKE UP FREE WORLD............STOP ISLAMISATION..........Defend YOUR Freedom !!!
I love how this guy takes the Qur'an out of context to show how it supposedly justifies "terrorism". The definition of terrorism according to Wikipedia: "Terrorism is a form of unconventional warfare. The exact definition of the term is widely disputed; generally, it is used to describe a broad range of activities, usually involving violence, conducted against a group or state." Islam is a religion of peace, but do not think that for one instance we are going to sit idle as our people are killed mercilessly. Extremism does exist. But it exists in all religions. Muslims are not instructed by the Qur'an to kill innocent people. The verses are very clear and they refer to explicit enemies of Islam not free-thinkers and such. To be a disbeliever is one thing, but to outright oppress or attack Muslims is another. Why would Islam be the fastest growing religion in the world if we were so hostile to non-Muslims? Unlike the Bible and the Torah, our script has not been modified and therefore some parts have to interpreted by a Scholar as these are Allah's words, not words of a mere mortal. It was clearly understood by the people unto which it was revealed, however, Islam has become such a widespread religion today that the people that abide by it and have miraculously memorized don't know what their reciting. It is obligatory upon every Muslim to try and understand the Qur'an by seeking interpretation. This entails acknowledging when it was revealed and under what circumstance. And you non-muslims should take the liberty of trying to understand the Qur'an the way we try to understand it. Not by picking up some apathetic and unjustifying translation. Thats why men that the West champion and herald such as Thomas Carlyle find it uninteresting. There a grave language barrier. Arabic is unlike any Latin language. It is written with such eloquence that if embraced or even merely understood would make one weep with comfort.
this is ***** rediculous, and I feel ashamed as a person bearing the dutch nationality, to have this guy in politics.
this is even worse the michael moore propoganda, not just in its innacurate depictions, but also in that it only fuels the tension between east/west, muslim/non muslim societies.
This movie told nor showed me anything new! It's a collection of fragments I've seen or heard before, but seeing them all together in this way gives me the creeps. My mother always said that to much of one thing is not good for your health, counts also for religion, i think.
I think Wilders hit some great points and I think the film will gain traction in the Netherlands when people determine that they have been doing far more than "tolerating" muslims. They have over-embraced Islam to the point that it has taken hold. Elements of Islam are hateful, violent, atrocious and Wilders did a good job of highlighting them. While I do think that the film is a bit radical, there are definitely ideas in it that people need to consider.
