- jordik, on 03/27/2008, -31/+96Factual movie about the 'religion of peace'. Freedom of speech is more important than the "right" to be outraged.
- CasaMan, on 03/27/2008, -8/+47This film has over 3.000.000 hits in 3 hours on liveleak only (dutch+english).. This has to be the best scoring online movie ever.. A nice TV night for us Dutch but nothing shocking..
- aixroot, on 03/27/2008, -25/+63This is what the Dutch government tried to ban by spreading fear.

let's hope digg doesn't kill the links - whiteoral, on 03/27/2008, -11/+45While I don't necessarily agree with the film, I'm glad that Wilders is advocating freedom of speech.
- jayjay80, on 03/27/2008, -3/+36Indeed. Criticizing the religion of peace can be lethal for some reason.
- velvus, on 03/27/2008, -10/+42I am glad that with the exception of the first and last few moments Wilders limited himself to picturing islamic extremists and kept from insulting muslims explicitly.

- ZOPTIKEREN, on 03/27/2008, -15/+43There is really nothing new about the islamic ideology in Geert Wilders new movie. Just a bunch of clips from MemriTV and some eyeopening pictures. Even the Quran verses he has draw his attention upon is not even in league with the really bad one.
Even though, lets spread the word, so other infidels as myself could learn a bit what the Quran teaches about us infidels. - paxil, on 03/27/2008, -6/+32I know what I've seen. Draw a picture of Muhammed with a bomb for a hat and muslims set fire to thousands of cars and injure hundreds of cops in Europe. Explain that, wise one.
- cruzlee, on 03/27/2008, -6/+30Please elaborate. I see some pretty harsh texts, tell me how the hell they should be interpreted otherwise? How do YOU interpret them? Do you ignore them? Or is the stuff about killing / burning / terrorizing / stoning people to death meant to be poetic? Or symbolic? Or is it a lie and are those texts not really in the Quran? Throw me a frikkin' bone here and tell me what you think.
- poidh, on 03/27/2008, -24/+45I take my hat off to Geert Wilders.
And now I wait for the riots, the threats and the killings.
Islam is a religion of peace, my ***** arse. - inactive, on 03/27/2008, -6/+27Actually he didnt preach anything. Everything in the video is fact. I think as a whole the video doesn't represent the feelings of the entire muslim world. But to be reminded that there are those who as muslims do things like cut peoples heads off and hang gays and prostitutes is a good thing. He is the one person who sees the true threat presented by fringe radical muslims. Without him you would never hear or see the feelings of this small minority of muslims who truly want to rule the world until 9/11 happened in your country. And I can also say this I have seen some far out Christians and Jews who believe crazy stuff. But they do not react as these crazy far out muslims. I almost vomited seeing that head laying there. Also I think there is a real lack of understanding of Islam or the Koran. This video didnt even touch on some of the more horrible stuff in there. True the christain bible does have stories of battles but the Koran actually instructs how to conduct war on the enemy. I also think some verses make who the enemy is perfectly clear.
- gyurka, on 03/27/2008, -9/+30Buffering, Buffering
Feels like realplayer - catacuta, on 03/27/2008, -8/+30hey, i am a muslim,. from turkey, and not even once I thought about harming a non-muslim just because they are. It's just ridiculous. OK, sometimes I got angry to all the things Bush has done, and Europe has done during colonial times and generalise the western people as a whole in my mind, which is totally a miskate. But this religion at it's core has nothing to do with violence.
When my muslim mother saw 9/11 on the tv, and I remember that day very well I was a high school student in Istanbul, her first reaction to these terrorists when she saw towers collapsing was 'animals..'.
We muslims ruled India for almost more then 5 centuries, and still there are 5 times more hindus then muslims there. Again we ruled Spain for centuries, with Jews and everybody in it, but when the today's spanish people won the war and invaded, they slaughtered everybody and only Ottoman Empire, another muslim state, has welcomed Jews of Spain at a time when christians burning people of witchcraft. My childhood Jewish friends from Istanbul is the alive evidence of that. Even though Christians massacred every man, woman and children when the first crusaders took Jerusalem, Salahaddin, when he took back the city, much to the surprise of christians, he respected the cross and let the people leave the city safely. He then became a legend among the Europeans. We turks ruled Greece for more than 400 years, if we,muslims were so full of hateful and evil and all that by default, how come there exist a Greece as it is today with its culture and everything intact and American Indian culture is almost vanished or Africa still suffers from european colonialism. And I can continue counting these things.
The point is: Islam's holy book says : If you have killed one man, it is as if you have killed the whole humanity, from the Adam and Eve to the last man. If you have saved a man's life, it is as if you saved the whole humanity.
As a muslim this is how I perceive the matter of taking somebody else's life. This is how my brother thinks, this is how my father believed this is how my muslim children will think.
Planting a tree is considered as one of the best things you can do in Islam. Even if somebody rests in its shadow, you gain from that, even if you plant it in the middle of nowhere and birds and worms benefits from the tree, you will gain from it when you die. Prophet has said:"While you are planting a tree, even if armegeddon starts to happen, finish it." These are direct orders from Islam about ecology, I haven't seen any direct quotes from Christianity like this. Enviromental issues are this important in my religion. For 600 years Christians used the medical book of Ibn-i Sina, a muslim scholar. There are many more examples of muslims contributing to the human development, from mathematics to astronomy to mechanical engineering etc... These are just to give you an example.
The point is, please o please, don't see anybody, any group as only total black or pure white. It was a long post, thanks if you read until here. - RomanThommassen, on 03/27/2008, -15/+34Theo van Gogh = dead

- natm2k, on 03/27/2008, -20/+36west europeans will eventually have to fight for their freedom because muslims will be the majority there in 50 years.
east europeans will thank russia for the 50 years of communism that saved them from being flooded by muslims. - yegor55, on 03/27/2008, -20/+38So what is so Blasphemous? only the TRUTH ............using Muslims Own Words and Verses of Koran, so is it, their not so secret plan, "to take over the world", that they don't want us to know about? WAKE UP EUROPE ..............WAKE UP AMERICA.......WAKE UP FREE WORLD............STOP ISLAMISATION..........Defend YOUR Freedom !!!
- thepeacemaker, on 03/27/2008, -5/+20Pim Fortuijn was killed by a disturbed animal rights activist.
- SullyA, on 03/27/2008, -2/+16Thanks for adroitly capsulizing the situation even though that may not have been your intention. Most other religions have bloody pasts, and they may well have bloody futures, but Islam, or at least a very large subset of it, has a very bloody past and continues to be very bloody minded right now. And the Quran goes way, way past anything in the Torah or the Christian New Testament in that it specifically commands it's followers to slaugher or subdue adherents of all other religions then, now and for all time. 9/11 woke me up and I slogged through the thing. Tough reading but very illuminating. But for political correctness the very possession of that book would violate so-called hate crime laws as they are written.
- banmaster, on 03/27/2008, -3/+16Blasphemous?? You have to be kidding? The crap these islamofascists pull EVERY DAMN DAY is blasphemous to pretty much every other religion on the face of the planet.
- kidcodea, on 03/27/2008, -9/+22with the amount of HATE and CRAP done in the name of your religion why are you proud of it and why do you expect a different reaction here?
- ha1ns2, on 03/27/2008, -37/+49Nice movie
- poidh, on 03/27/2008, -8/+20Try finding anything in the Catholic ideology which encourages paedophilia. You won't find it because it's not there.
You, young lad, should not be allowed to use the internet without your parents' consent. - treyevans, on 03/27/2008, -11/+23ISLAMIC TERRORISM HAPPENS.
- poidh, on 03/27/2008, -2/+13I'm going to write a book which encourages people to rape, torture and kill your family. If you try to ban it, then you are the bad guy. Idiot.
- hiscity, on 03/28/2008, -0/+11Considering the bloodbath in Iraq from Muslim on Muslim violence -- Muslims have more to fear from militant Muslims than others do. So Muslims should answer the question about whether or not the Qur'an incites violence?
How are Muslims going to defend themselves from Muslim cultists that use the Qur'an to justify the murder and subjugation of other Muslims?
Where is the response to FITNA that shows words of peace or words of love that can counter the words of hate that are shown? Where are the images of charity that counters the images of violence that are shown? Can a Muslim with their restriction on images even make such a video? - lostarchitect, on 03/27/2008, -4/+15That's from Hammurabi's code and predates the Bible by a very long time. It does appear in the Old Testament, I believe in Exodus. However it is specifically negated (for Christians) by Jesus' teachings. The quote from Matthew:
"You have heard that it was said, 'An eye for an eye, and a tooth for a tooth.' But I tell you, do not resist an evil person. If someone strikes you on the right cheek, turn to him the other also. And if someone wants to sue you and take your tunic, let him have your cloak as well. If someone forces you to go one mile, go with him two miles. Give to the one who asks you, and do not turn away from the one who wants to borrow from you."
Hence, if you're talking from a Christian point of view, you should not retaliate when attacked. - viggooo, on 03/27/2008, -6/+17What exactly is idiotic about this movie? Showing people facts?
- atb12688, on 03/27/2008, -15/+25I think Wilders hit some great points and I think the film will gain traction in the Netherlands when people determine that they have been doing far more than "tolerating" muslims. They have over-embraced Islam to the point that it has taken hold. Elements of Islam are hateful, violent, atrocious and Wilders did a good job of highlighting them. While I do think that the film is a bit radical, there are definitely ideas in it that people need to consider.
- yegor55, on 03/27/2008, -3/+13so what was offensive or insulting ? in the movie ? .........douche.........
- inactive, on 03/27/2008, -3/+1315 minutes of pictures and video. Rather startling video but factual. And how can you deny facts even if they are all smashed into 15 minutes?. After all many digg users say pictures or it didnt happen. Well I saw a head or two rolling around. Im convinced.
- bkhan90, on 03/27/2008, -22/+32You know, instead of "learning" about the Quran from extremely bigoted sources (either pro or against) you should really think of maybe reading it.
- inactive, on 03/28/2008, -0/+9What was stupid about it? It just showed quotes and pictures, if anything I would think the muslims would appreciate the advertising.
- viggooo, on 03/28/2008, -4/+13You sir, are a master of sarcasm.
- mbeauchez, on 03/27/2008, -1/+10By tomorrow everyone who wants to see the film will have seen it already.
- inactive, on 03/27/2008, -5/+14Youtube has no balls.
- yegor55, on 03/27/2008, -2/+11I get this all the time. Islamists say: "You are quoting a translation. You can't understand what is being said except in the original Arabic." This is an effective tactic, since I can't very well quote the Arabic and so I am misunderstanding these magnificently nuanced texts. But of course, this is BS because of the plentiful and readily available texts translated by Muslims for Muslims. Are we to believe that Muslim translators also abused these texts? Does that mean the Koran in Urdu or Farsi is WRONG...............are you using Taquiya ??? (lying to protect your faith)
- paxil, on 03/27/2008, -6/+15I think your last sentence kind of illustrates the whole point.
- feebl, on 03/27/2008, -8/+16http://www.mininova.org/tor/1275782
http://thepiratebay.org/tor/4102609 - inactive, on 03/28/2008, -4/+12Yep. It's no wonder so many muslims turn to terrorism. Islam is an evil religion.
- Sicarius, on 03/28/2008, -2/+10So you practice a sane and tolerant form of Islam. Good on you, honestly. The problem is that a lot of others don't. Something like 40% of UK Muslims support death for apostates. That is hardly a few extremists, it is close to being normal, and considering the number of people that represents a not insignificant problem.
- jellygraph, on 03/27/2008, -3/+11YouTube has banned many people for simply just displaying actual verses written in the Quran. It's ridiculous.
Let's not even get started on how someone at YouTube also has a thing for banning atheists for no reason. - kimmik, on 03/27/2008, -5/+11So?
Jews don't behead people because they aren't jewish. - djangoxl, on 03/27/2008, -19/+27I live in the Netherlands and I had hoped he would show an unbelievable film, where he would preach love in stead of all this violence...that would have made the aggressive reactions beforehand look very pale. Too bad he just went for this route..
- Magicmasta, on 03/27/2008, -3/+11It's misleading
- LLLSecretChimp, on 03/28/2008, -1/+8I may have been wrong about Hitler's atheism, but he wasn't a Catholic. His family was, but according to the Wikipedia entry on his religious beliefs, 'Joseph Goebbels, for example, notes in a diary entry in 1939: "The Führer is deeply religious, but deeply anti-Christian. He regards Christianity as a symptom of decay."' That's not a Catholic belief.
