Dumbass AZ man blows a smooth .40 with almost sober looking

At some point, the high stops working and the alcoholic is drinking just to avoid the withdrawal. But the blood alcohol level keeps an accurate record of the body's intake, even if the mind does not black out or pass out.

A breathalizer's results can be easily affected by a number of things. For example, you're supposed to have not drunk a drop of alcohol for at least 15 minutes before taking a breathalizer test, to ensure that there is no residual alcohol in your mouth. So if he was pulled over immediately after leaving a bar, that could be the case.

    Other things can affect the results too, like if you scope just before a breathalizer test you might blow over the limit.

    My point is that his blood alcohol level was probably nowhere near 40% .
