  • alanocu, on 11/11/2009, -0/+4I ride that train almost daily - the Orange line in Boston. That train goes much faster than the green line because the distance between the stops is longer. The driver was really on the ball.

    A quote from the woman who fell onto the track: “I cannot express how grateful I am to all the wonderful people on the platform who waved down the train and also to the train operator for acting so quickly,” Sophia Hartdegen of Cambridge told the Herald today in an e-mail.

    "The Orange Line motorwoman Charice Lewis, 27, of Mattapan and Orange Line inspector Jacqueline Osorio, 29, of Dorchester were lauded by transportation officals for noticing T passengers waving frantically."
