- Bluth, on 10/12/2007, -5/+94I bet I could take that guy at yahtzee.
- bradford, on 10/27/2007, -6/+95"You know, there's like a butt-load of gangs at this school. This one gang kept wanting me to join because I'm pretty good at stacking dice."
OR
"Girls Like Guys With Skills. You know, like nunchuck skills, bowhunting skills, computer hacking skills, dice stacking skills." - Jrr6415sun, on 10/27/2007, -8/+90it got boring and repetitive after the first couple tricks.
- slithy, on 10/12/2007, -0/+67I assume you proceeded to watch the video anyways?
- veggiemoore, on 10/12/2007, -2/+58all the tricks seemed sort of repetitive
- humanaut, on 10/12/2007, -3/+50man, you must be the coolest kid at the boardgame store.
- ocellnuri, on 10/27/2007, -4/+49Obviously Photoshopped.
- NumberFour, on 10/12/2007, -5/+47Well once you figure it out its not nearly as cool as it looks. Hes just spinning the dice in a cup.... there might be some timing needed but it can't be that hard to master the spinning technique.
- grooviekenn, on 10/12/2007, -17/+53"Most people's initial reaction, when first seeing the dice stacked, is astonishment."
Yea~ I was astonished that someone would waste time learning to do that! - Double-Z, on 10/12/2007, -3/+37Holy *****! Pointless and repetitive, yes, but it could earn you a drink in a bar one day.
*rushes off to find dice and a cup* - iFrank, on 10/12/2007, -1/+32But now you've seen it and the novelty's gone! What a sad paradox, huh?
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -3/+29umm.... don't ask don't tell?
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -0/+25I suppose you call it cards stacking, books stacking, cans stacking?
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -5/+29Shouldn't it be "die" stacking?
- aks123, on 10/12/2007, -1/+24Digg users are highly experienced and knowledgeable people who have seen pretty much everything that life has to offer. Nothing can faze a Digg user. In fact, a typical Digg user would yawn at the sight of a figure-skating giraffe.
- knightblade2oo4, on 10/12/2007, -2/+24"dude you've got yahtzee on every ***** turn."
- z0iid, on 10/12/2007, -1/+22The dice aren't in sequential order.... could you work on that?
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -1/+21"Some people view Dice Stacking as magic. Others see it as more of a juggling skill."
...still others view it as a monumental waste of time - fxmcleod, on 10/12/2007, -1/+20neat, nice to see something i haven't seen before
- robotsongs, on 10/12/2007, -1/+19Knowing you're getting older:
When your first response to the vid is "Oh, his poor table!" - captinherb, on 10/12/2007, -2/+19"you proceeded to watch the video anyways"
anyways? Thats the reason he clicked the link. Not that there's anything wrong with that. - inactive, on 10/12/2007, -1/+18Psh, you can't bring logic into arguments here.
- Lumiras, on 10/12/2007, -0/+17Man.....that guy must get laid at parties all the time
- betterth, on 10/12/2007, -16/+31I disagree, that was rather cool.
- MSTK, on 10/12/2007, -1/+15Actually there really isn't any secret. Just do it just like he does it in the video. As long as you keep the die spinning in the cup, it'll stack up like that.
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -1/+14i bet he'd wow the brothas at the dice games down at the Marcy Projects
with ashy larry - inactive, on 10/12/2007, -3/+15Now I've seen everything!
Have you ever seen a man eat his own head?
No.
Then you haven't seen everything! - contradictator, on 10/12/2007, -6/+19Okay, so when are you putting YOUR dice stacking video up, hmm?
edit: The British Guy beat me to it, but hey, the more peer pressure, the better! =P - inactive, on 10/12/2007, -1/+13Im glad someone finaly said it.. You know it's what we are all thinking.
- tony134340, on 10/12/2007, -2/+13+1 for the music.
Nevermind, -1 for the 2nd song. - Crazyiodudo, on 10/12/2007, -0/+9I wonder how his D&D skills are...
- carnytrash, on 10/12/2007, -0/+9Let's see him do that with a stack of 4-sided dice. Then I'll be impressed.
- EtherGnat, on 10/12/2007, -2/+10I love how people think this is easy because they've figured out the physics. It's like saying juggling is easy because all it involves is gravity and timing. I suspect there is substantial skill involved in keeping the dice stacked while rotating the cup and managing to stop with the dice still stacked rather than flying across the table.
- Tolzmaniac, on 10/12/2007, -2/+10dugg for Johnny Cash "Ghost Riders in the Sky"
- Kazanoe, on 10/12/2007, -1/+9I figure this is a great addition to '38 things to do when your internet goes down'
- totalcynic, on 10/12/2007, -1/+8Has anyone noticed that Digg seems to be a community of contrarian conformists?
This article is a prime example given that in the description it said, "Most people's initial reaction ... is astonishment." Of course, comments posted must express Digg users complete and utter lack of astonishment. - inactive, on 10/12/2007, -1/+5"Shaw Haltkhoet gentle slopes? A guide is all heresy and Zndoq"?
Google has failed me... - omnithought, on 10/12/2007, -1/+6Why do I get the feeling this is a skill that Napoleon Dynamite would have?
- froman98, on 10/12/2007, -8/+13Wow this is super lame. How did this make it to the front page?
- vamapaull, on 10/12/2007, -12/+17this is more advanced ;)
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=C1mfBsk07CY - inactive, on 10/12/2007, -2/+7"Nothing can faze a Digg user. In fact, a typical Digg user would yawn at the sight of a figure-skating giraffe."
And freak out at the sight of any article dealing with republicans or sony. - inactive, on 10/12/2007, -0/+4and do it in a cut up video to get rid of all the mistakes
- Wavey, on 10/12/2007, -0/+4I did the Google Translator thing and got: "Shaw Haltkhoet gentle slopes? A guide is all heresy and champions a heresy."
See, it all makes sense. :-/ - noseeme, on 10/12/2007, -4/+8Oh, yeah. It's magic. :|
- PARAPA, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3Just because he can do this it doesn't mean he can't do anything else.
How long must it take to learn this?
2 maybe 3 weeks?
Compare that to the time taken for you to Digg and comment on hundreds of stories.
And you're basing your opinion on the fact that he has a skill. This MUST mean he can't get laid.
Stope being naive.
Anyway, it would be cool to do what he does! - CaseyUCF, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3i do this daily with my 17 sided die.
seriously, he needs to get laid. - Aldrenean, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3Sorry, thought it would be a pretty obvious joke.
- EtherGnat, on 10/12/2007, -2/+5"a typical Digg user would yawn at the sight of a figure-skating giraffe."
That water skiing squirrel is much cooler. Figure skating giraffes are just a lame knockoff. Marked as lame. - JackHallows, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2Well since YT is down right now....
Dupe mb?
http://digg.com/videos_people/Dice_Stacking_with_incredible_speed_moves
Hmmm.
Must be that "popular" thing again. - Zipko, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2Let's see him do the trick from the movie God of Gamblers. Stack 5 standard dice and get a score of 4 on the top faces of them.
