I found out through the same means that all old farts find out "what the kids is up to these days"--the local news channel did a piece on it (more likely it was a syndicated piece, but I digress.) Or at least it will never be an insult because thats exactly what we are trying to achieve, and its pretty damn fun. Its relaxing to just let go and go crazy or dumb as we call it. A lot of times its a real adrenaline rush and it mixes well with the type of music we listen to. We call it hyphy music, and their is a whole hyphy culture out here in northern cali that has existed for 10+ years.

Kids think its fun to idle their car, get out and run around it, jump on top of it, etc. I'm pretty sure it is a suburban thing and am positive it is moronic. I have seen some cool clips of nice crashes which makes me laugh, though. This was a nice clip, too.
