Ms. Prejean claims that "American (read: Christian) beliefs are under attack," but if that's the case then it's not me or anyone else that's doing the majority of the assault, it's her.
There's nothing wrong with anything she's done, so long as she's not hurting anyone. And I hold nothing against her for her choices. But the hypocrisy of the religious right, that we've all had to deal with for so many years, and are stuck in the quagmire of even now, is infuriating. Especially when she gets on the pulpit and tries to condemn gays. She looks like an idiot, but she's got no one to blame but herself. And if anyone is digging up photos and videos of her doing the exact opposite of what she preaches, then it's more to demonstrate how much of a hypocrite she is and to rob her of any authority on the subject (not that she had much - she's a ***** beauty pageant contestant), than it is any sort of personal attack against her.
If you want to live a Christian life, then please do so. It's not the life for me, but I'm not going to give you a hard time for living it.
