I've always believed that people that spend their lives only focused on the importance of looks, will have spent little effort developing other aspects of themselves that will endure long after their youth and beauty fade. In other words, the kharma of vanity is the aging process.

People all over the world are of varying degrees of attraction; and, as it happens, people have different tastes. Sure, if I were to stereotype, I'd say Thai women are the most beautiful in the world, but that's just a rash stereotype. As for the Brits being "ugly," and the Swedes ruling, let's be real, we're talking about a hook-up website. What insignificant garbage.

FTR I used to run sound and lighting at one of the more upmarket clubs in London's West End, the kind where the beautiful people hang out and all I can say is that the cat fight that follows somebody famous walking in, whether it be a footballer, or a Model or a Actor is one of the most unattractive things I've ever seen.

It could be argued, instead, that those numbers reflect people's confidence in their own appearance. You don't sign up for a "beautiful people only" site unless you think you might qualify. If Swedes, Brazilians and Norwegians are more insecure than Britons, it would explain why they have a higher incidence of beautiful people among their applicants -- the mediocre-looking people have already weeded themselves out.
