- smashblu, on 02/11/2009, -3/+89They're undergraduates, it's not their money, it's their parents. That's what comes from being handed everything, they probably think they are more important than others. Most self made millionaires are very humble and you could not tell them apart from a low to middle income person.
- msotrips, on 02/12/2009, -3/+46Rich people can be dicks. Thank God we had this confirmed, it was seriously in question.
- Gr00ver, on 02/12/2009, -0/+35Hogwash. My body language portrays no such thing:

and I disagree, completely. Most very intelligent people I've met are timid or at least humble and pay attention unless their time is being wasted. - museamongmen, on 02/12/2009, -0/+16Most millionaires are self-made and don't act much differently from the average person. Just as the article mentioned, this was about the offspring, who grew up with money.
- willsani, on 02/12/2009, -3/+17"People of higher socioeconomic status are more rude when conversing with others."
They're not really telling us anything new. There is a reason why the stereotypes exist. - superm1ke, on 02/12/2009, -0/+12No he just beat up a homeless guy and thats his TADA! pose
- illt, on 02/12/2009, -1/+13let's not forget the exceptions and outliers.
I'm actually extremely embarrassed by it, and never invited friends over to my house in my youth out of a misplaced fear of judgement - gobbleplex, on 02/11/2009, -1/+12Yeah, there is a difference between being intelligent and being a pompous blowhard, and neither are mutually exclusive.
- Diggnabbit, on 02/12/2009, -0/+9Yeah... wordings will always get you... especially online.
- ell0bo, on 02/12/2009, -0/+7do you masturbate in front of a mirror?
- ryrocker, on 02/12/2009, -0/+7pfft..
there are dicks in every faction of society - richiewrt, on 02/12/2009, -1/+8We needed a study to tell us that rich people are more likely to be d-bags than middle-class folk?
- moges, on 02/12/2009, -0/+7The parent's point was that because they are undergraduates, it is unlikely that they have made their own money, and are therefore a specific class of people (those with rich parents), which is not what the title said (rich people in general). You can't generalize statistics unless you have a random sample of the full population.
- quadsixmafia, on 02/12/2009, -0/+6Way to state that so matter of factly. Actually, over 90% of millionaires do not inherit their wealth.

Going with their conclusion, of course their parents would also be considered rude as they come from a higher SES. Sure, there may well be differences regarding selfmade and people who inherited their wealth.
- MattS, on 02/12/2009, -0/+6I was grooming while reading the article...
- TheMachine1, on 02/12/2009, -0/+5http://www.monopoly.com.au/images/mr_monopoly.gif
Caught you being friendly ounce. - Vikrane, on 02/12/2009, -0/+4Really? They needed to do a study on this?
- mrkmrk, on 02/12/2009, -0/+4Some of us pay for college ourselves, you know.
- SYMB0LIC, on 02/12/2009, -0/+4“Nobody’s happy in this town except for the losers. Look at me. I’m miserable. That’s why I’m rich.” - Ari Gold.
- GulfstreamIV, on 02/12/2009, -0/+4I'm just ***** rude all the time.
- bmystry, on 02/12/2009, -0/+4wtf was that all about?
- YinofYang, on 02/12/2009, -0/+3Huh?
- Stomper, on 02/12/2009, -1/+4I don't know where your from, but around here its not the democrats who are members of the country club and it sure as hell not the republicans who are out getting their hands dirty helping with disaster relief efforts.
- Hearshot, on 02/12/2009, -1/+4Hmm so they're saying snobs act snobbish. Interesting.
- brownsound00, on 02/12/2009, -0/+3I think one of the best millionaire stories i read was on digg. It was about that japanese airline CEO who cut his OWN freakin salary, so that he was making less than his pilots, in order to save the company.
Not to mention that his office wasn't ridiculously huge, and he ate lunch with his workers every single day.
That's what most self-made millionaires are like. But i'll agree with above, most millionaires are inherited. - fant0m, on 02/12/2009, -0/+3Dugg for "Hogwash"
After seeing the picture(s) I could tell that you would say something like that. - hugogalvino, on 02/12/2009, -0/+3I agree totally but i will add something, richer people (or in my experience girls because in boys i dont see the difference) tend to be aggressive and do not mind your personal space at all, i mean for me it would be strange to rub against someone's legs or back but they tend to be more close and personal and they look way more confortable like that.
- willsani, on 02/12/2009, -0/+3Right...
- haobaba1, on 02/12/2009, -0/+3I'm far too busy to bother with this articles rubbish.
- badenglishihave, on 02/13/2009, -0/+2How's that hole you're digging yourself into there, cloak419?
- mister711, on 02/12/2009, -0/+2rich bitch
- YinofYang, on 02/12/2009, -0/+2Does the middle finger still have the same meaning, regardless of status? Perhaps they should conduct a study on that too.
- Swivelstick, on 02/12/2009, -1/+3This puts you at the bottom of the rung because you were neither rude nor dismissive just a dick :)
Thank you, have a nice day!! - t0ny, on 02/12/2009, -0/+2All the rich people I personally know are very nice people.
- jitterbits, on 02/12/2009, -0/+2Too bad you couldn't read his body language, huh?
(I think he was trying to say that if you can accurately read another's body language, you will not be fooled by their deception.) - wtfbatman, on 02/12/2009, -0/+2In other news: homeless people tend to be more homeless then the rest of the population.
- azureskies88, on 02/12/2009, -1/+3Owned.
- brownsound00, on 02/12/2009, -0/+2also true.
- brownsound00, on 02/12/2009, -0/+2***** due to being poor?
- spaceboykelly, on 02/12/2009, -0/+1In the office tomorrow I am going to groom myself with hair brushes, salves, and nail files while my superiors address me in hopes that I'll get a raise.
- seventhc, on 02/12/2009, -0/+1I think you've just called yourself out.
- inactive, on 02/12/2009, -0/+1Not true... the nuveau riche tend to be among the most obnoxious people around. Old money tends not to be as impressed with itself.
But then these are all generalizations. - TheCash, on 02/13/2009, -0/+120 states and 16 countries.
Yeah, I'm sort of a hermit. - inactive, on 02/13/2009, -0/+1Well saided sir!
- shinyplastic, on 02/12/2009, -0/+1who funds these worthless studies?
- HatTrick101, on 02/13/2009, -0/+1This is a very true article...
People of higher value are not as easily amused and aroused by others company unless there value surpasses there own... - ryrocker, on 02/13/2009, -0/+1
