  • openandshut, on 11/16/2009, -0/+3I made a comment about there being a lot of Russian cannibals on another article and a gentleman pointed out that it was the media, and that we still think of Russians as a whole as freakish or monsters because of remnants of McCarthyism. I thought it was a good theory, but I really don't think that's the case. I don't think the Russians are freaks, I just think that lately this has been happening a lot there. If this were happening in the States, I'd be just as inclined to say, what the hell is going on right now? It's just a very odd trend to be happening anywhere. It has nothing to do with the country.
