- rjam710, on 10/11/2007, -1/+66If he's such a "genius," then why does he claim to like Michelangelo and then proceed to draw LEONARDO!? Learn you turtles buddy.

- Wonkanobi, on 10/11/2007, -2/+48He must have Photoshop installed on his Speak & Spell

it seems to be a lame attempt at viral marketing by hasbro. there are a few more turtle kid videos out there too, even more fake looking than this one. - lava, on 10/11/2007, -0/+32This has been on digg before. I think it turned out to be fake - a viral for the turtles movie.
- gravis86, on 10/11/2007, -1/+28This has been on the front page a few times before, and each time is proven to be a fake. As much as I wan t to believe it's real, it's not. There was a site for the videos, but I'm too lazy to try to find it again.
- xaxxon, on 10/11/2007, -0/+17it's fake - you never see him painting.
- D3IM0S, on 10/11/2007, -6/+23I loved the father's reaction at the end... first he was a typical supportive dad "wow that's really good!", then he really looked at it, and confirmed that it really was in fact a good painting.
- speedyf40, on 10/11/2007, -2/+19No Way, This has to be fake!
- ACrazyGerman, on 10/11/2007, -6/+22Send these to Maddox see what grade he gives them.
- RaggTopp, on 10/11/2007, -2/+17MORE DOTS!!!!!
- Rabite, on 10/11/2007, -3/+16Sorry kid, but that's Leonardo.
- revjustin2, on 10/11/2007, -0/+11Buried as lame fakeness.
- shaun1018, on 10/11/2007, -0/+11Fake fake fake a hundred ***** times fake.
- fullgl, on 10/11/2007, -2/+11He's either great or autistic... or fake.
- lukas88, on 10/11/2007, -2/+9I was convinced it was real, but now I am disillusioned. I want to do something evil now, maybe punch a kitten.
- jonashwing, on 10/11/2007, -0/+7you asked for it...
http://stadium.weblogsinc.com/joystiq/videos/onyxiawipe50dkpminus.swf - feebie, on 10/11/2007, -0/+7I was exited about seeing this...I've heard of and seen prodigy artists before.
But as soon as I noticed how he began by outlining the general shape of Leo's head and bandana...I could tell it was fake.
Kids simply don't draw that way. It's a technique that character desgin artists use, and something I didn't learn until I went to school for it.
When kids draw, they tend to focus on one area at a time, usually starting with the eyes, nose and mouth.
I also don't think the kid would've have the compositional knowledge to draw just the bust and the one darkened area for a background. - enalios, on 10/11/2007, -1/+7WHAT? I've been had by viral marketing!! Oh well... for the 2 minutes and 3 seconds I thought that this was real it was worth the digg.
- ch4os1337, on 10/11/2007, -2/+6@ gravis86 yup your right.. if you look at the hand when "he" is painting you can see that his fingers never move.. so its a fake hand or something
- areohbe, on 10/11/2007, -0/+3I was very impressed at first, until I saw that the video was hosted on the TMNT website, then I realized it was just a clever advertisement...
- look4alec, on 10/11/2007, -0/+2I almost believed it until i went to http://www.turtlekid.com ... the site they link to at the end of the video. Click on the vid on the right. Its so funny, theme music and all. These are nothing more than advertisements for TMNT: fast forward, the latest season of the show (debuting in July, 2006) where a freak time travel experiment landed the turtles in the year 2105. Cowabunga.
- DragonGirl724, on 10/11/2007, -0/+2I first thought it was real...now I feel like a douche.
I havent seen the kid on Conan and he doesnt even have his own website. If this was real his parents would have exploited him by now.
...it must be fake. - MrFatalistic, on 10/11/2007, -1/+3little duh, I'm sorry if anyone was pulled in by this one, and not that there aren't child geniuses out there, but the second the kid was lifting up the action figure to check his work, it was obvious. Hell, there's even some lighting technique applied and you're telling me his dad taught him that, maybe it was divine inspiration to paint ninja turtles.
- iseebluuue, on 10/11/2007, -2/+4no american kid has an attention span that long, especially not a 3 year old american kid. dead giveaway.
- ApolloXLII, on 10/11/2007, -0/+2i can still kick his ass.
- dArt8, on 10/11/2007, -0/+2I found this much more amazing.
3 Year Old Solves Rubik's Cube in 114 seconds
http://youtube.com/watch?v=tSqUcrFJ498 - InfoFreedom, on 10/11/2007, -0/+1smooth and shiny = glossy is the word i was looking for.Found it while comment on youtube.
- Noobist, on 10/11/2007, -0/+1holy crap.;.. wat is wrong with that kid...
- slipstreamJC, on 10/11/2007, -1/+2This was an advertisement, hence the URL at the end.
- InfoFreedom, on 10/11/2007, -0/+1Lol if look the video in between 1:54 and 1:58 when the paper bends maybe it's just me but it looks smooth and shiny like it was printed out.
its not blotchy at all like it should be if he was dotting with his fingers. poor kid is not a genius besides he picks up the figure to look at it while
he's doing the background. maybe it's his technique maybe he's just being exploited by his dad for some beer money. - misconfig, on 10/11/2007, -0/+1One word: Prodigy.
- UncleBadTouch, on 10/11/2007, -0/+1He's better at finger painting than I am at just about everything. Is it wrong to want to smother him?
- Razster, on 10/11/2007, -0/+1Fake, nothing more...
Kid's hands as you watch were not that coordinated. Someone was holding his hands and doing it for him.
Yes this was posted before, OFN! - PhairOh, on 10/11/2007, -3/+4@proghead
He didn't say XOR - trebor4ever, on 10/11/2007, -0/+1I can totally finger paint as good as that kid. Does that make me a 19 year old genius?
- BugMeNot2, on 10/11/2007, -0/+1lol, fingerpaint
- jt32470, on 10/11/2007, -0/+1i'd hate to see the finger painting artwork in the bathroom
- shyner, on 10/11/2007, -2/+2Buried because it has DEFINITELY been submitted before.
- WraTH017, on 10/11/2007, -1/+1Fake. I would have my doubts if the kid painted an accurate depiction of the figurine, and not a dynamic pose that had nothing to do with the toy he was using as a model... other than the subject being a ninja turtle.
- chubbyduck, on 10/11/2007, -1/+1Leonardo the Turtle, but more like Seurat the Painter.
- jay42, on 10/11/2007, -1/+1Too bad its fake
- orientis, on 10/11/2007, -5/+5Nevertheless? Nonetheless?
Either way... - dr3d, on 10/11/2007, -0/+0fake !?? .. why would you do this to your own kid..
- necroalgae, on 10/11/2007, -3/+2I think his Dad is lifting his elbows.
- directedition, on 10/11/2007, -8/+6bury me
- ChayD, on 10/11/2007, -3/+1Dugg down - good, but still an attempt at marketing *sell* *sell* *sell*
- eunichs, on 10/11/2007, -6/+3"lame attempt" = Front page of Digg for the third time...?
