- SiNN4R, on 12/30/2007, -1/+16I am replying to you because thats exactly what you wanted me to do.
- Rikushix, on 12/30/2007, -0/+14What are you, Australian? It's " 'eyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy"
- Scrappy1850, on 12/30/2007, -0/+12it will be out right after DNF
- iXneonXi, on 12/30/2007, -0/+12...except the zombie mod for CSS is extremely unbalanced.
- carpespasm, on 12/30/2007, -1/+10actually the zombie in the screen shot looks more like fonzie. "Ayeeeeee......"
- Briton, on 12/30/2007, -1/+10This sounds pretty similar to the Zombie mod available for CS:Source.
- smurf22, on 12/30/2007, -4/+13The character models don't exactly look up to par.
- dpTGAB, on 12/30/2007, -0/+9Phew... I had been waiting for the release of this one for a long time and I was thoroughly disappointed. The maps looked pretty cool and the feel of the game was eerie enough, but once you actually get in a server and begin playing it is a nightmare. The lag was pretty intense every time I encountered other players(everyone had pretty low pings as well) and it was really tough to successfully aim at anything as massive glitching would take place upon confrontations. There was only one human player model and it didn't even move correctly. All of the human players looked like they were toy soldiers sort of cascading across the map on a track. Good luck killing a zombie also. I put a whole clip of headshots into someone who was standing still and he still didn't die. If you happen to be running from a zombie, however, somehow they are actually faster than the humans and will catch up every time. Really, they don't even need to catch up as they will start "hitting" you when they are a good 10 feet away and there isn't much you can do about it.
I really wanted to like this game and even played it long after I knew it was no good. I hope they continue to work on it and can get it right because it seems like they've been working hard to make it happen, but they should have made sure that the basic functions of the game were going to work correctly before putting it out there for people to play. Oh well... back to dods and css and waiting for Left4Dead. - peabody624, on 12/30/2007, -0/+8but you said it was going to suck
- Rikkochet, on 12/30/2007, -0/+8Well, have you ever seen a WHITE zombie except on TV? Hmmmm? This mod may just be the MOST REALISTIC zombie simulation ever!
Think about it. But not too hard. - MadEnvoy, on 12/30/2007, -0/+8youuiU suuiUck.
- JonyMill, on 12/30/2007, -0/+8AUGHHH!!!
- f4nt0m4s, on 12/30/2007, -0/+8The graphics don't look that great but the world needs a fun zombie game. Elite graphics or not, I'm downloading it and hopefully it will be fun to play.
- sdlvx, on 12/30/2007, -2/+9hi, I replied to this thread because you're desperately asking for the attention your parent(s) never gave you as a child.
- dezmo, on 12/30/2007, -0/+6dude, this is crazy, I love zombies too!
- mik3pass, on 12/30/2007, -0/+6Whatever happened to No More Room in Hell, BrainBread: Source, and all the other zombie mods that came around when Half-Life 2 first launched in 2004?
- inactive, on 12/30/2007, -0/+6yeah not touching that with a 10 foot pole
- Ashtonn, on 12/30/2007, -0/+6That's all I was thinking about when I read the title.
I don't play half-life so I had no idea about mods for it.
Gahh, Left 4 Dead looks amazing. - RetardoCrisp, on 12/30/2007, -0/+6The Installer is Gimped!! If I chose to install to my E:/ drive it still installs to the C:/ drive regardless. They need to fix this!!! =(
- cyrix, on 12/30/2007, -0/+5It's pretty much exactly the same. The only difference really is the scoring method and how the round "ends."
- ArikSantiago, on 12/30/2007, -3/+8Thanks for putting this on Dig
Dugg for HL2 mods! - andrewtheart, on 12/30/2007, -7/+12Am I the only one who had no idea what Zombie Panic: Source was and thought the source code for Zombie Panic had been released?
GPL FTW? - inactive, on 12/30/2007, -0/+5Good job saying L4D is going to suck than saying it's going to be awesome. Lewl
- Dongvid, on 12/30/2007, -0/+5Bad lag. Baaaad lag. Across the board. They need to fix their dedicated server programs. But it's still worth trying. It's awesome.
- Rodalli, on 12/30/2007, -0/+4I don't think you'll be disappointed. The graphics aren't great, but that's easy to ignore once you start playing especially because the artists still manage to communicate a pretty creepy scenario with the environments and textures. My favorite part about the game is the social element. There's this communal sense of fear that you might get "caught" by the zombies and you're always worried about protecting your fellow survivors in order to keep them from turning on you if they get eaten.
The survivors always try to find ammo and hole up somewhere together. At one point, my survivor team even sent out a "search party" when we started running low on ammo...lol. Voice chat makes this game 10x better. - CrushThemTorg, on 12/30/2007, -0/+4Somebody get this crap into Garry's Mod at once so we can have animated GIFs of zombies hitting jukeboxes.
- Zrix, on 12/30/2007, -6/+10BitTorrent download; http://www.gameupdates.org/details.php?id=2100
- inactive, on 12/30/2007, -0/+4"Wait! I can still fix this!"
- smurf22, on 12/30/2007, -3/+7Umm I play half life 2 on my mac using cross over...
- r2builder, on 12/30/2007, -0/+3Punctuation, mate.
- troyfoley, on 12/30/2007, -0/+3ass.
- Peedo, on 12/30/2007, -0/+3Has anyone seen a survivor team win yet?
I've been playing for 5 hours in total and I haven't. - Cryptecks, on 12/30/2007, -0/+3I played for about an hour and no, Zombies own the survivors faces off every time. Maybe there should be a "cure" you can find to go from Zombie -> Human, that way a player is coming back every now and then.
- waebi, on 12/30/2007, -0/+3they are "stil alive":
http://www.moddb.com/mods/1834/no-more-room-in-hel ...
http://www.moddb.com/mods/7492/brainbread-source
but both have only images and trailers, no "exe" - inactive, on 12/30/2007, -0/+3Niggerguy
- Rodalli, on 12/30/2007, -0/+3It's fine and dandy if you want to mention another mod you like, but don't bang on someone else's hard work for no other reason than because you prefer something else. This is a good mod and the people working on it spent a lot of time and effort on it so they could give the community a good game. And they did it for free. I'd like to see you do the same. So show a little respect.
- Twilight1, on 12/31/2007, -0/+3Yes, headshot extra damage was accidentally left out, but will be re-enabled in the next patch. This is the Zombie Panic: Source *Beta* v1.0, so of course it's a bit rough around the edges. This is not the final version by any means, with many bug fixes and features to be added coming soon. Please don't make the mistake of thinking this is as good as it will get, and the final polished version.
We prefer to get feedback from actual players earlier, so we can continue to better balance the gameplay with frequent releases.
Thanks for your time,
Twilight
Zombie Panic Mod Founder - Tatsur0, on 12/30/2007, -1/+4ZPS Update: Thank you all for your support and constructive criticism. The ZP Dev team is hard at work on finishing up a patch to deal with all the big issues, replacing placeholder animations with our finished industry quality animations, and linux server files, aswell as a large content patch to add new weapons, player models, and huge custom content update. Love to hear what you guys think and your support is definitely keeping things moving, thank you.

Will see you all in 2008! Happy New Years!
ZP Development Team - vertinox, on 12/30/2007, -1/+3Zombie Master is better I think. Its HL2 source and designed for multiplayer and works fairly well for players versus zombies.
http://zombiemaster.org - markdall, on 12/30/2007, -2/+4Yeah, "Source" was an unfortunate name choice. (Also, GPL is a license, one of many, not source code.)
- Classicgamer, on 12/30/2007, -0/+2You're not the only one :/
- jccalhoun, on 12/30/2007, -0/+2zombie master is also really fun http://www.zombiemaster.org/
it has some problems but hopefully they will keep working on it and give it some polish. -
