- themastersb, on 03/20/2008, -1/+1You never played the video? Then how did you get exhausted looking at it?
- hawk0168, on 03/20/2008, -16/+3Nothing is funnier than probe rushing an ally. Nothing.
- Roger, on 03/20/2008, -0/+7Probe rushing and still losing is.
- JulyZerg, on 03/20/2008, -0/+2Probe rushing anally? WTF?
- notabanana, on 03/21/2008, -0/+0a cannon rush is funnier
- RaiderWolf, on 03/20/2008, -10/+13I just saw the video and ***** myself.
Thank you!- leerayIG88, on 03/20/2008, -8/+2please, let me clean it up for you.

- isunktheship, on 03/20/2008, -10/+2File Front?..really?!
- TheFounder, on 03/20/2008, -2/+93Starcraft is an all time legend.. game came out in 1998... I installed it and just played broodwars... like a million people online.. a 10 year old game... amazing.
- IglooBurner, on 03/20/2008, -2/+1313000 games on my record and still going strong
- Andrew33, on 03/20/2008, -0/+1WINBOT ALERT
- bekapants, on 03/20/2008, -1/+20i've been playing since 9th grade!?
talk about loyalty...i'm 24 and still playing.- punkcat, on 03/20/2008, -0/+23and still in the 9th grade no doubt
i keeeeed- bekapants, on 03/20/2008, -0/+1don't i wish. i could use a LAN party in the computer lab.
- punkcat, on 03/20/2008, -0/+23and still in the 9th grade no doubt
- Navicerts, on 03/20/2008, -1/+5Yea i always go back and play a dozen games or so then set the game down for another year.
- LordVance, on 03/20/2008, -1/+7I was never good enough to play it online, but even as a single-player game it is incredibly strong. Raynor is my hero :-) (although the normal voice for that unit type annoyed me to no end, and I ended up just never using them for that reason).
- frazier428, on 03/20/2008, -2/+1Vultures were a useless unit anyways (except the occasional well-placed mine...)
- IglooBurner, on 03/20/2008, -0/+5Vutures are probably the best early Terran unit. great against goons, zealots, lings and marines/medics.
- FaithclubDotNet, on 03/20/2008, -0/+3Not to mention if you got a couple vultures in your enemy's worker line it spells disaster.
- notabanana, on 03/21/2008, -0/+1a vulture and tank rush is a good way to beat protoss early on. Plus with proper micro vultures can do lots of damage with the speed upgrade
- frazier428, on 03/20/2008, -2/+1Vultures were a useless unit anyways (except the occasional well-placed mine...)
- Username314, on 03/23/2008, -0/+1Whenever someone says StarCraft is "a 10 year old game", I mistake it as a game for 10-year-olds.
- IglooBurner, on 03/20/2008, -2/+1313000 games on my record and still going strong
- bekapants, on 03/20/2008, -12/+6CAN'T ***** WAIT.
- Acronym, on 03/20/2008, -16/+2not so sure about this one.
- isunktheship, on 03/20/2008, -0/+3Why yah gotta go and do that?
- MightyLime, on 03/20/2008, -0/+2Dude, what? Seriously. It looks awesome.
- dn11, on 03/20/2008, -0/+5don't be THAT guy
- zuperxtreme, on 03/20/2008, -3/+61I wonder what the new unit limit will be. I hope it's >200 ...
- Roger, on 03/20/2008, -1/+22Would be nice if it was adjustable for multi-player games.
- TRScheel, on 03/20/2008, -1/+5Too true. Would be nice to have a lot of things adjustable.
Always nice for flexibility and diversity
- TRScheel, on 03/20/2008, -1/+5Too true. Would be nice to have a lot of things adjustable.
- digggggggggg, on 03/20/2008, -2/+3Dunno about that. Blizzard has an affinity for games with a lesser number of units, but a greater value for every unit.
Take Warcraft 3 for example. You were pretty much discouraged from getting a lot of units from the whole "upkeep" thing and the fact that you could upgrade your existing units.- Vindicoth, on 03/20/2008, -0/+10Thats a bad guess considering the earlier videos blizzard said they developed this engine to hold massive amounts of units on the screen at once. That was a core gameplay mechanic for Starcraft and that will never charge. Blizzard also said it will match Starcrafts unit cap or even exceed it. Plus they have a new game mechanic in the game that allows you to select all the units on the screen in 1 group.
- Pssdoff, on 03/20/2008, -0/+11Hopefully they are doing what they should be doing: remake Starcraft with better graphics, better ai, some cool new units, and more customizable options for multiplayer. If they try that "upkeep" ***** with Starcraft 2 I'll be pissed.
The ONE thing I'd really like to be able to do is control group at least 50 units at once. - JulyZerg, on 03/20/2008, -1/+7If they make it like warcraft 3 or C&C I won't buy it. As much as I love the first game, I will not support the mutilation of the gameplay because they chose to bring in mr. browder...
- identitymatrix, on 03/20/2008, -0/+8Yeah I hope it at least stays at 200. Most games today now have ridiculously small unit caps or units that count as lots of supply.
- PabloIV, on 03/20/2008, -1/+4I'm comfortable with that cap, I think it's too ingrained in how people play Starcraft to change it now
- Lunarbunny, on 03/20/2008, -0/+8I personally wouldn't mind if they keep it at 200, what they need to increase is the maximum supported units. You play on an 8 player high-resource map and you end up with some ***** building Reavers and maxing out the engine's capacity.
- Roger, on 03/20/2008, -1/+22Would be nice if it was adjustable for multi-player games.

- Stupidumb, on 03/20/2008, -1/+9You're like those jackasses who disconnect to avoid a loss on their record.

- Moshcrates, on 03/20/2008, -4/+12No more spawn broodling? Awww.
I started playing SC the day it got released a decade or whatever ago...and I still HAVE to play BW at least 3 times a week. It is the greatest RTS ever made and I count the days until I can get my hands on the sequel- sixsidepentagon, on 03/20/2008, -0/+1I think there's a unit that does the same thing when it kills something.
- MrSteamTank, on 03/20/2008, -0/+1Yeah it's the Swarm Guardian. Basically a more expensive guardian that spawns broodlings when it kills things.
- Rizmaster, on 03/20/2008, -0/+2How can you count the days if there's no concrete release date?
- dougmc, on 03/20/2008, -0/+51, 2, 3 ...

also have a sudden desire to play...- isunktheship, on 03/20/2008, -0/+1sudden?! ***** i've had that desire since like 02, when first talks about the game began, way back when starcraft ghost was in the works...well that wasn't long ago... but back before wc3 came out, and then they started working on the starcraft 2 mod to wc3!! I've been waiting since then, and Blizzard will NOT disappoint, every one of their games is well done!
- Swallowell, on 03/20/2008, -2/+22Power overwhelming!
- MightyLime, on 03/20/2008, -1/+9Cheater.
- 1randomguyO8, on 03/20/2008, -2/+1Do we have to continue with for every starcraft post?
- Icyfenix, on 03/20/2008, -1/+3dude that doesn't work online.
- InsaneMachine, on 03/20/2008, -1/+5Yeah it does. It just makes everyone in the game laugh at you. It's the code to get laughed at.
- Vodd9, on 03/20/2008, -1/+3That's the archon's line, dude.
We're talking about the zergs here.
- blueandgreen24, on 03/20/2008, -3/+20Thats looks awesome but I noticed thats its lagging in big battle scenes in the demo. And if the Blizzard supercomputers are lagging, then my piece of ***** is certainly going to lag.
- mrelusive, on 03/20/2008, -1/+9You do know the optimization stage doesn't come until near the end of the development cycle, right?
- Navicerts, on 03/20/2008, -2/+1that seems woefully inefficient. To finish coding everything and then go back and start changing things. you would think they would split it up in sections and optimize as they go.
- Stupidumb, on 03/20/2008, -0/+5Search Google for premature optimization
- Navicerts, on 03/20/2008, -2/+1that seems woefully inefficient. To finish coding everything and then go back and start changing things. you would think they would split it up in sections and optimize as they go.
- 1randomguyO8, on 03/20/2008, -2/+1Yeah man I noticed that aswell but it's only early days yet. This was probably just made for demonstration purposes. I think I also recall hearing that they are going to make in very scalable so it can run on older machinese aswell as macs so I wouldn't panic yet.
- dn11, on 03/20/2008, -0/+4i think it's just the video.
- dn11, on 03/20/2008, -0/+5check out this video http://www.gamevideos.com/video/id/17938
watch the huge battle at the end - that goes on and on. the speed seems pretty consistent to me. - dn11, on 03/20/2008, -0/+1*oh, and be sure to dl the hd verion - it's worth it
- popularwinner, on 03/20/2008, -0/+1Either way, I'm already planning to build a new computer in coordination with the release date (whenever that may be). If Blizzard stays true, those new SMT 8 core processors will probably be in the bargain bin at Best Buy when it's released.

- mrelusive, on 03/20/2008, -0/+32Actually, I didn't turn it into a Rick Roll until last night. I had the domain for 2 months or so, collecting dust. Figured I'd make some use out of it.

- cnepveu, on 03/20/2008, -0/+12I've been browsing digg for now at least 2 years, and have never registered before today.
I have never thought of replying because I never had the need to.

- thinsoldier, on 03/20/2008, -10/+1... but the video is sooo... boring... it's not a good song, it's not an interesting video, it's not offensive, it's not funny, it's..... meh. Video of tubgirl would have been more interesting.
- MindStalker, on 03/20/2008, -0/+1See, tubgirl would get his banned, anything overly offensive will get you moderated down. We've gone through MANY goatse/tubgirl/2girls1cup etc etc. NONE of them really is a good idea to trick someone into watching simply because you will get modded down and possibly banned. A well played rickroll can get you modded up though.
- mrelusive, on 03/20/2008, -0/+1I don't really plan on keeping a Rick Roll on that domain forever. Using tubgirl, goate, etc. wouldn't be the smartest thing to do.

- dn11, on 03/20/2008, -4/+4the animation looks freaking amazing in this game. the best compliment I can give it: it looks like the original made with todays technology. I'm glad they didn't add another race. how can you improve on perfection?
- DavidtheDuke, on 03/20/2008, -2/+2It's one of those few build-your-base-*****-FAST or die games that were, and looks to be, fun.

- cnepveu, on 03/20/2008, -5/+0Isn't it the other way around?
- diggrim, on 03/20/2008, -0/+3First time I saw the Starship Troopers trailer I thought "They finally made a Starcraft movie!" but then I learned there was a book older than both of them.
- Railz, on 03/20/2008, -1/+1Yes, the idea of swarming insects...totally from SST...
- BadBosco, on 03/20/2008, -1/+4starcraft is even more similar to halo and AVP in tha tthere is humans, advanced aliens, and swarm aliens
but its still the best - drek, on 03/20/2008, -1/+6Actually, Starcraft stole the Zerg from Warhammer 40K (the Tryanids), just as they ripped off the Eldar and Dark Eldar (the Protoss). Warhammer 40K was partially inspired, in turn, by Starship Troopers.

- hamGrenade, on 03/20/2008, -2/+8well my starcraft 2 game boner is in FULL EFFECT.
- clearwaterlab, on 03/21/2008, -1/+1why would you use a word that has the letters "e e ct" in a sentence that also contains the word boner and not write erect? Damn, your funny must be turned off or something.

- FaithclubDotNet, on 03/20/2008, -1/+2And I, for one, welcome our new zerg overlords.
- scubaman5000, on 03/20/2008, -1/+3I got to play Starcraft 2 at blizzcon (Like any blizzard product it's incredible). At the time only terran and Protoss were available. I spent most of the short time they gave us checking out the tech trees and new units. I made like 5-6 protoss motherships then one of the kids who were set up as our "opponents" decided to attack me. I barbecued his entire force in seconds and then went on to destroy his base. I had thought they intended to limit the number of allowable motherships to 1...but for blizzcon that wasn't the case.
I can't wait for the full version to come out... it's going to be absolutely amazing.- 223Sniper, on 03/22/2008, -0/+0those motherships are awesome, but all be it a little cheap. I think I would not play if every time a game went past 20 mins, I wind up having to battle 5 or more mother ships and they just "BBQ" everything within sight. The blackhole technique would just be the death of the game, especially with more than one ship.
- Bravesguy18, on 03/20/2008, -0/+3More! I need more!

Much like Digg, it has lame posters, but unlike Digg, they can temporarily ruin the forum. - JulyZerg, on 03/20/2008, -2/+3Not all zerg units can burrow... Burrowing mutalisks, anyone?
- YourDoom123, on 03/20/2008, -0/+2why not? it would be pretty awesome to hide your flying units just around the backside of someone's base for a pincer style attack...
- LiquidShield, on 03/20/2008, -0/+3That looked sick... I am going to buy that...
- orph3us, on 03/20/2008, -2/+1sweet!! Hurry up and release a beta!!! Resolution changes ftw. Better bnet. Looks awesome... Still playing original sc to this day. Rick roll ftw too ;) thanks
- PhrosTT, on 03/20/2008, -0/+2bring back tribes 1. the end.
- skeeterbug84, on 03/20/2008, -0/+2Most of the units can burrow in SC1, with the expansion pack at least.
- frostbyt, on 03/20/2008, -0/+2I want to put an ultralisk into a bunker. That huge claw coming out would be awesome.

Also, the balance was created with distinct units. The basic units of each race are different. A zergling is much different from a terran marine or a protoss zealot are completely different. Unlike other RTS games where every race has an infantry unit, rocket launcher unit, and tank unit.- ultraJesus, on 03/20/2008, -1/+1Will this be on the test?
