I mean I'm guessing a disguised spy won't show up with any of the new headgear on. So basically if you wear headgear, you're saying "I'm safe, I'm not a spy". Meanwhile all all those disguised spy's and non-headgear-wearing people will be constantly spy-checked.
- coheedcollapse, on 05/01/2009, -0/+7Valve seriously knows how it's done. Not only have I been playing TF2 pretty constantly since release, these new "RPG-esque" additions will get a few of my friends who aren't typical fans of the genre in there with me.
Unfortunately, I know the complainers will be the loudest voices in the crowd since competitive gamers are typically active on the forums and completely opposed to anything past "vanilla". I hope they make these changes and run with them.
Now the L4D team needs to work on something that adds this type of depth to that game. I'll be in Valve FPS heaven. - Oea420, on 05/01/2009, -0/+7Yep, and the best part about the weapon thing?
I'd wager 50% or more of players have no idea spies can do that now, haha.
In an enemy base if I swap through weapons really fast I can fool a good % of people into not spychecking me.. it's so odd
I remember in old Quakeworld TF.. I used to play a varient called MegaTF... ahha so fun

- tyroney, on 05/01/2009, -0/+4Every time they release a pack and/or have a free weekend, they probably get a big spike in sales. I enjoy playing the game, so I'm perfectly fine with them dragging out the updates and keeping the game alive and changing.
