Section one starts off well and actually makes a comparison, but then sections two three and four seem to have absolutely nothing to do with SMB. I'm not a big WoW player (only tried it for about 3 months), but it seems like this was just a big complaint about raiding with incompetent idiots and didn't really explain much about understanding WoW at all. I'm still lost about half the things my WoW playing friends say...although I guess I have a slightly better understanding about why they whine now. =/

- TheEggAndI, on 07/17/2009, -1/+4i played city of heroes on and off for four years. its a great game. loved it. very simplistic and and repetitive, but it took a long time for me to get bored of it. the gameplay was great and the community was generally nice.
then a few months ago i thought i should switch over to warcraft and see what the hulabaloo was all about. now im hooked on WoW and i kind of hate it. like the article says, the community is full of ***** who somehow earn a pompous attitude after hitting 80 with one character. and there is NO dymanic in team builds. you ALWAYS have to have one tanker, one healer, and three DPS. in CoH you could have a team of up to 8 people, and they could be completely different combination of of archetypes and you could be just as powerful as a team of only healers and tankers.
only problem is that CoH was nowhere near as in depth or strategic as WoW, and anyone who has played WoW would probably get bored of CoH within a month or so. so now i keep thinking of going back to CoH but i know ill just get bored of it in no time. basically, WoW ruined me for one of my favorite games for me.
i think this article forgot to mention the fact that warcraft is less of a game, and more of a part-time job. - TimDub, on 07/17/2009, -1/+4This is the single greatest thing ever written for Internet consumption. Yes, even better than the Mudkips story and the guy who took a colossal dump next to a guy on a phone. This trumps both stories as well as all of Chuck Norris' many accomplishments. There will be nothing more awesome than this and we should just shut down the Internet now.
