U.S. Spies want to find Terrorists at Hooters and then later they're going to look for alQueda over at Phil's house with that new flat screen. After that they might find terrorists at your mom's. - Kalakov, on 02/23/2008, -1/+50Those bastards who corpse camp your body in STV are the Terrorists !
- dafragsta, on 02/23/2008, -1/+42They're trying to take WoW off the gold standard with their epic wand of wiretapping. Expect inflation at the Auction House. The gov't is here.
- ghank, on 02/23/2008, -0/+40/facepalm
- crash013, on 02/23/2008, -1/+40The CIA just wants to play WoW
- latova, on 02/23/2008, -2/+35This could very well be the end of the world... of warcraft.
- dudad, on 02/23/2008, -0/+33So they are going to profile the 10 million people who play WoW? I bet it's some FBI agents who are addicted and just need to come up with an excuse to play. Either way, someone's lost touch with reality.
- Ceeman, on 02/23/2008, -0/+33Boss : Smith what are you doing playing games at work.
Smith: er I am looking for terrorist who plan "raids" in WoW.
Boss: Carry on then - SteveThePlank, on 02/23/2008, -3/+33So just because I gank lowbies, I'm a terrorist?

- FeloniusMonkey, on 02/23/2008, -0/+24Shouldn't this article have been written for the Onion instead of Wired?
- Ktog, on 02/23/2008, -0/+24How come I get the feeling that some government employee got caught playing WoW at work and made this up as his excuse?
- NewGTGuy, on 02/23/2008, -6/+30Guilty until proven innocent... I love this country.
In the near future we will all be terrorists unless proven otherwise. - XxbladesfirexX, on 02/23/2008, -0/+23Or how bout we really test their intelligence, and have them look on America's Army.
- Aharoni, on 02/23/2008, -1/+23- Do you think he's a terrorist?
- I don't know.
- ADMINISTER THE TEST
- Balrog119, which of the following would you most prefer? A: a puppy, B: a pretty flower from your sweety, or C: a nuclear device. - SemiSarcastic, on 02/23/2008, -1/+22COUNTER-TERRORISTS WIN!
- T8erT0T, on 02/23/2008, -0/+20In other news, WoW will launch another expansion pack incorporating the U.S Spy class which can arbitrarily place players in Interment Camps until they can prove they are not a terrorist.
- ithejosh, on 02/23/2008, -0/+19*****.. what if they figure out how I got my level 70?
- SPThom, on 02/23/2008, -0/+19Pssh... After six years of war in Iraq, do you actually expect them to look in the *right* places for terrorists?
- whatthefu, on 02/23/2008, -0/+18How much would it suck to be joking about terrorists in the Barrens Chat and then all of a sudden get a call from US intelligence?
- NinjaBoy, on 02/23/2008, -0/+18I love how they use a UT99 pic for a WoW Story.
- MrMooski, on 02/23/2008, -1/+18Yeah I play medal of honor daily. - franksalvo, on 02/23/2008, -0/+11Wasteful spending much? This is the dumbest thing I have ever heard of. Will someone please find out who was in the congressional committee that proposed this bill, find out what states they are from, and vote them out in the next election?
- theseaman, on 02/23/2008, -0/+11I'm a little confused. How can the actions of someone playing a video game be taken seriously when looking for terrorism. Isn't that part of what playing a video game is, creating terror by pwning noobs?
- inactive, on 02/23/2008, -2/+13Ya no kidding, like its hard to find one.
And I have quite a few days played in WoW, and have yet to "frag" anyone in that game. - valkyrierisen, on 02/23/2008, -1/+11/agree. :(
- inactive, on 02/23/2008, -0/+9Why'd you feel the need to give us a link? Like we've never heard of it?
- jefree, on 02/23/2008, -0/+9The govt. can snoop on email and general Internet traffic and phones, but the multi-player games are outside that because they are a different medium. People could communicate through the game without worry about being detected. I don't think everything you chat about in WOW is recorded although it probably could be if needed, but how to you choose who to listen to. Ultimately, like the entire "war on terror" it a waste of money and resources (with no end in sight until all freedom is lost) (IMO), but this is what you get when you start down this everyone could be a terrorist path.
- DMDekoth, on 02/23/2008, -0/+8Is the puppy strapped with bombs or any sort of weapon of terror?
- Yamoth, on 02/23/2008, -0/+8holy *****, i'm a terrorist and didn't even know it...
