- inhaler, on 12/12/2007, -1/+7Seriously, what generates the hype behind Warhammer Online? I'm not getting it. Warcraft and Warhammer look like THE SAME ***** GAME. They have the same staple elves, dwarves, demonic/chaos *****. I'll be honest, I haven't read up on it, but first glance, it looks like more of the same, "Bob wants you to kill 10 spiders/wolves and he'll give you this nice piece of gear."

I mean seriously they are releasing most of the best games multi-platform (Devil May Cry, SERIOUSLY?), a decent PC can be bought for cheap (and still have better overall graphics than consoles) and you can play on dedicated servers. I pretty much just gave up on Xbox Live, tired of missing headshots because the server can't relay exactly where the enemy is at the time. And I pay 50 bucks a year for that. - xenuxenuts, on 12/12/2007, -0/+3Warhammer's hype comes from daoc (Dark Ages of Camelot). DAOC was a nice step up from eq and gave plenty of PvP opportunities, including casual pvp: you could always join the emain crowd. That said, I'll give the open beta a shot, but WoW is entrenched. I don't really want to give up a lvl 70 and 60, and I consider myself a casual player (no raids, no major guilds, have kids, etc).
