- kund57, on 07/02/2008, -12/+35This is real stupid for valve to do. I don't mean the whole weapons upgrades and achievements, but coming out with them for every class one by one. I wasn't playing TF2 when the medic weapons came out but when the pyro's did, TF2 was BORING. Every server had about 8 pyros on each team trying to unlock the achievements. What the smart thing to do is come out with all class upgrades at once so people will play with their personal favorite class to unlock instead of playing the recently updated class. I know, people have said that would take a long time to do and it would be a long time until it would come out, but it was boring as hell playing that game when there was half the server playing a certain class.

Happy to hear my all-time favorite class is getting what's owed. Those pyros have been giving me a hard time with the "backburner". - snek, on 07/02/2008, -0/+12I play on a server with a class cap for Pyro's. Only 2 allowed on each side, and it has kept the game very balanced and fun. I do agree they should have released them all in one go, but at least this way you get to experience every class to it's fullest. If they released upgrades for Sniper & Spy at the same time as all the others I wouldn't even touch those classes, being teh uber 1337 Soldier & Engineer that I be ;)

Odds are engineer day will see hundreds of engies running straight into the fray wrenches out trying to bash some heavies over the head and similar absurdities. See: Medics killing scouts and ubercharged heavies punching people.

- da_bradler, on 07/02/2008, -0/+5they said they tested the game with every class having a different grenade type but it just turned into explosive spam everywhere. if you want grenades they have a specific class built just for that.
