Six Technologies that Will Shape PC Gaming's Future (Or Not)
1up.com — For every winner of an American Inventor season, a couple hundred would-be Thomas Edisons go home losers. For every Nintendo Wii, there are 1,000 Nintendo Virtual Boys. The ratio of brilliant ideas to worthless crap is decidedly out of whack. So we present for your consideration six emerging technologies that might change the way you play PC games

- firewound, on 05/15/2008, -1/+4Some decent stuff, but we've been using hand-held controllers since Pong. If not for the Wii, these new technologies wouldn't get nearly as much attention.

I think there are serious potential for these devices to go along with the standard controller, the Wii has nothing to do with most of these applications. I'm very against the Wii just because I really don't like the controller scheme, but with a mouse and keyboard/controller I think having some of these for a decent price would really add to the realism of the experience. Most of these aren't alternate controllers.
