- DaleMCourtney, on 07/06/2009, -0/+26hey hey hey not so fast
- woodrow8292, on 07/06/2009, -1/+25Does George Lucas know Lucasarts is doing this? I am sure if he did he would come over and totally ***** it up like he did with ep 1-3. They need to keep him as far away from this project as possible.
- SilasSucks, on 07/05/2009, -1/+24A great video of a hopefully great game,
- kjones555, on 07/06/2009, -0/+21GEORGE LUCAS STOP!!! If you are seriously considering a live action Star Wars series, then please let Bioware direct it!
- MrFisty, on 07/06/2009, -0/+20I'd always wished KOTOR1 and 2 had more of the full on Mandalorian battles from the Tales of the Jedi comics instead of the random mercenaries you'd stumble across every so often. Here's hoping you get to orbital drop on the back of a Basilisk War Droid.
Ah, the things I say on forums when my friends aren't watching. - Garmoosh, on 07/06/2009, -0/+18far far away...
- knodi, on 07/06/2009, -1/+15You mean BioWare.
- RSS14, on 07/06/2009, -0/+13More information about the Mandalore.

- viper001, on 07/06/2009, -0/+9I really hope the game turns out great. KOTOR was such an amazing series that it would be a tragedy to see it reduced to a boring grindfest MMO (which I hope this one won't be)
- iceregulus, on 07/06/2009, -0/+9No...though there have been slight hints suggesting a possible late 2009, early 2010 release, but I wouldn't get my hopes up by any means.
- ganymede2010, on 07/06/2009, -0/+9I'm so leaving WoW when this comes out!
- TheCash, on 07/06/2009, -0/+8Any word on when this is going to be released?
- darthweder, on 07/06/2009, -1/+9Did you notice he said please? kjone555 knows that Lucas has control, that is why he is pleading to him specifically. Reading Comprehension. Pass it on.
- Zeonick, on 07/06/2009, -0/+7+E
- kakwakas, on 07/06/2009, -0/+7People who are not big fans of MMO's.
I'll still play SWTOR, though. - barstool, on 07/06/2009, -0/+6The hell with this. I HATE massively multplayer. For every 10 polite, decent players, there are 100 juvenile ***** playing at the same time. I'd much rather play Kotor 3 and enjoy the richness of the plot designed for single-player campaigns with a proper ending, not some level-up-play-forever B.S. that MMOs have become.
- whiledo, on 07/06/2009, -0/+6From reading your other comments, I begin to wonder if you have any sense of humor or appreciation of satire at all.
George, is that you? - jaaames, on 07/06/2009, -2/+8That still won't help you get laid any.
- UselessTrivia, on 07/06/2009, -0/+6Here's to hoping that Lucas will allow new Star Wars movies to be made. An Old Republic series would be epic, as would a New Jedi Order series.
Old Republic would make for an excellent setting, and it wouldn't step on any existing continuity, except maybe for EU stuff, but the beauty there is that EU authors are awesome at working with convoluted continuity, and most of them would be very eager to contribute to a star wars feature. - Bravedude, on 07/06/2009, -0/+5KOTOR 2 had lots of potential, but was heavily rushed. I personally enjoyed it immensely until the ending where you could really see where they did most of the chopping to get it done on schedule.
- antdude, on 07/06/2009, -0/+5When it's done! Don't rush them!!
- wilf_brim, on 07/06/2009, -0/+5Please. Then we can be Sith and enjoy wiping out the Gungans. Time and time again.
- jpgr87, on 07/06/2009, -1/+5I didn't know Star Wars had Klingons...
- abortio, on 07/06/2009, -0/+4Love 'em hate 'em or just like 'em, the prequels are in the can. If you think there's some life still left in Star Wars, support the product that most suits the direction you want the franchise to go in. Lucas is absolutely going to hand off creative control of Star Wars someday. Now's a good time to send him signals about who it should be.
- Salif, on 07/06/2009, -0/+4Maximus? (Gladiator movie)
- ganymede2010, on 07/06/2009, -0/+3My wife vehemently disagrees.
- kjones555, on 07/06/2009, -0/+3If you didn't like my comment...why didn't you just ignore it....Where did I hear that before?
- Xaevier, on 07/06/2009, -0/+3Betas normally last anywhere from 3-6 months so as soon as the closed beta is out you can set your watch, for now it could be a year it could 7-8 months.
- Cyberchair, on 07/06/2009, -0/+2Can I beat you up now?
- Xaevier, on 07/06/2009, -0/+2I still want to know who Lucas killed in order to get the scripts for 4-5-6 and how we can get competent writers like the ones in charge of this game to overthrow his future ventures.
- chongli, on 07/06/2009, -0/+2I think Bioware is really playing with fire with this thing. The audiences for MMOs and traditional RPGs are radically different.
They are at extreme risk of pissing off both groups. The game will sell well (on name) but I doubt it'll have high retention, judging by the silly, schizophrenic design ideas they've described so far. - drmangrum, on 07/06/2009, -1/+3KotOR was an amazing game. KotOR2 sucked major ass. Now that BioWare is back at the helm, I have no doubt the end product will be good.
- Darksoul, on 07/06/2009, -0/+2They are not your friends if you can't talk like that in front of them.

- bloodguard, on 07/06/2009, -0/+2Mandalorians? What about Garion, Hetter, Silk and Barak?
/obscure - acdcfanbill, on 07/06/2009, -0/+1Lucasarts kicking days are dwindling since they cancelled Sam and Max 2 and Full Throttle 2 when they were close to completion... Hopefully this and the new Monkey Island will propel them back though.
- whiledo, on 07/06/2009, -1/+2Alternate link:
http://www.gametrailers.com/video/timeline-trailer ... - fungusmonkey, on 07/06/2009, -0/+1The difference is that Lucas used to be a fledging director and had to work with writers and film professionals every day who would steer him away from his stupid, stupid ideas. Two movies into the franchise and he was the Michael Bay of his time - when your movie makes that much money, no one tells you what to do anymore and you just make crap.
The problem with Lucas is that he's so huge that no one has the ball to just slap him in the face and say "NO. BAD LUCAS." anymore, and if they did, he'd fire them on the spot.
Look at what happened with the 2D animated Clone Wars series - Genndy Tartakovsky made Star Wars cool again, and what does Lucas do? He got jealous that Genndy was getting all the credit, so he fired him, replaced his team with his own crew of 3D artists, and then made the 3D Clone Wars cartoon (which is about 90% pure crap).
He's the worst kind of filmmaker: the rich kind who doesn't realize how bad he is. - Greedfeed, on 07/06/2009, -0/+1Wait, didn't he address George Lucas in the first one by saying his name and pleading to him? ShingoEX you're losing this on every level.
- JigoroKano, on 07/06/2009, -0/+1Obsidian did the same hack job with NWN2. Obviously they are capable of making a great game in the Bioware vein, but they just can't ever give it the polish of a finished product.
- JigoroKano, on 07/06/2009, -0/+1I'll be a Jedi and look the other way.

/jarjar - Acqua206, on 07/06/2009, -4/+2So the head honcho of the Mandalors is the Mandalord? How original.
- consolepredator, on 07/06/2009, -3/+1i can't await to see it
