- lilbitmoreslyk, on 10/11/2007, -0/+259Yes these people are just plain stupid, not only did they neglect their children, they also spent $50,000 on a TV and Computers and the husband is unemployed. So let us not blame video games for this, these people are just plain S T U P I D
- UberCoolCam, on 10/11/2007, -5/+238The parents should be locked in a room with food behind a glass wall so they can see it, but we just choose not to give it to them.
- slimasian, on 10/11/2007, -17/+185Anyone else up for supporting a bill that requires people to get licenses to have kids? Sheesh...
- inactive, on 10/11/2007, -18/+148Get the geek stuff out of your system before you procreate.
- inactive, on 10/11/2007, -5/+132one of this kids said "at least they weren't playing world of warcraft"
- KDX200rider, on 10/11/2007, -2/+114Does anyone know what their Digg account names were?
- grumpychris, on 10/11/2007, -4/+102This is awful, but I have to ask, what kind of cat thinks it's ok to pee on people?
- boheme, on 10/11/2007, -3/+98My girlfriend just left me after a five year relationship for someone she met playing WoW. I expect to see a similar article about them in two years.
- atomicrobot, on 10/11/2007, -2/+85Roll 1d12 to save against bad parenting.
- kafraco, on 10/11/2007, -0/+77Idiots. I find it difficult to say thing else about a couple who spend 50000 on electronics but cannot take a few minutes a day to give their children something, ANYTHING to eat. A lot of people are going to blame the videogames, but those two people are just idiots.
- inactive, on 10/11/2007, -1/+71With little holes so they can smell it of course.
- CaptMonkey, on 10/11/2007, -2/+61He had better gear than you.
- kopasa, on 10/11/2007, -5/+63D&D Online sucks too
- buff01, on 10/11/2007, -2/+58this is lame... D&D has nothing to do with it, these people are criminally negligent, and should be prosecuted accordingly.
- lpmiller, on 10/11/2007, -0/+55these people weren't bad because of video games, they would have been terrible parents even if computers had never been invented. these are broken people.
- j2crux, on 10/11/2007, -9/+62That's just plan MESSED up.
- cjpro, on 10/11/2007, -4/+53We Wikipedian Diggers are a noble race, born in the crucible of the big bang [citation needed]. We have existed on the planet [[Earth]] since the day of its creation. [1] We look to speak the truth and only the truth and seriousness is a way of life. [2] ~~----
- theNazz, on 10/11/2007, -2/+51Unemployed cashier? If he's got time to lean, he has time to clean!
- RAEP, on 10/11/2007, -11/+59You can't even make jokes on digg anymore? Oh wait, diggers have always been like wikipedians.
- cassholio, on 10/11/2007, -1/+46I'm attacking the DARKNESS!
- LouisC, on 10/11/2007, -0/+40And a computer with Dungeons and Dragons Online running the login screen...
- Dhalgren, on 10/11/2007, -0/+39Um, excuse me, but I do believe you will find that in actuality savings rolls are always made with a d20. Thank You. /ComicBookGuy

- jdh24, on 10/11/2007, -2/+29i want some rich dude to adopt those kids and let them live the rest of their lives without ever going hungry
- jankind, on 10/11/2007, -3/+30YES! Was just talking about this at work this morning. You need a license to go fishing for crying out loud!
- danielrh9, on 10/11/2007, -1/+28Anyone remember Trainspotting? The comparison of MMO's to drugs just got a little deeper.
- CaptAngryPants, on 10/11/2007, -1/+27Oh that is just BS there SuperWinner. Plenty of geeks have kids that grow up perfectly fine. And the can still do geeky things after marriage or have children. One just needs to learn to prioritize his/her roles in life. I have seen just as many alcoholics, nascar fans, football fans, career junkies, religious fanatics neglect their children's well being.
- Unlegend, on 10/11/2007, -0/+23Working article from MSNBC:
http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/19766590/ - applesandgrits, on 10/11/2007, -3/+26Another reason why I cannot possibly believe anyone who states that there is a form of balance in the universe. Two people completely lacking the mental capacity to be parents have children, while other, potentially wonderfully parents cannot.
- tHePeOPle, on 10/11/2007, -1/+23This comment may require cleanup to meet Diggipedia's quality standards.
- emdub, on 10/11/2007, -1/+23I'm betting the reporter didn't factcheck enough. D&D Online sucks, my money is on them being hardcore WoW players.
- brenbart, on 10/11/2007, -1/+23I'd say D&D is the least of these people's problems.
- allisonaxe, on 10/11/2007, -0/+21I love how they say "unemployed cashier" as if cashier is a profession he spent years learning, and is highly skilled work. no, if you're prior job is 'cashier' and you're unemployed, you're just a bum without a job. (now, if he were a teacher, or an engineer, or an astrophysicist or something, then yes, being called an "unemployed engineer" or whatever would be apropriate.)
- Urusai, on 10/11/2007, -2/+22I wish I could spend 50 grand while unemployed. I can't get over how poor, unemployed slum dwelling retards seem to have greater liquidity than I ever had with a college degree.
- merr, on 10/11/2007, -0/+20The article said they were playing D&D Online, which is an MMORPG.
- reaver84, on 10/11/2007, -12/+32The baby would've dropped merchant junk.
- allisonaxe, on 10/11/2007, -1/+20you type LIKE a retard.
- rainergamer, on 10/11/2007, -1/+20thank you, that was the joke
- meltingrobot, on 10/11/2007, -0/+18If you RTFA'd, you would know that they were playing an MMO. :P
- Pfhreak, on 10/11/2007, -0/+17Although I agree with you that a parenting license is evil, the "Nazis supported X" is not the way to refute X, since not everything the Nazis did was evil. For example, the Nazis were the ones that built the Autobahn, emulated in the US in the 1950s with the Interstate Highways.
- PickledJesus, on 10/11/2007, -1/+18Yeah I AGREE with you.
- CaptMonkey, on 10/11/2007, -1/+17Let's not forget a grammar license for people who can write coherent sentences.
- dbhaley, on 10/11/2007, -7/+23And a test to see if you have enough sense to vote.
- tzmguitarist, on 10/11/2007, -0/+16Sorry for the comment hijack - but this is his MySpace account - you can see his wife's account and pics from there as well.
