- Fortyseven, on 01/12/2008, -3/+77"Large Scale Gameplay Shift". Troubling words. Will we be savoring these remaining months as "the good times" or "the dark ages"? Time will tell... (Also, sure seems a waste to have a CTF oriented history, and the assets to implement it, but only *one* map that takes advantage of it.)
- bossm4n, on 01/12/2008, -4/+67First off, as someone who enjoys playing medic, excellent news. I hope the tweak the mentions adds a little more punch to the syringe gun. And new maps, hell yeah.

- bblande, on 01/12/2008, -5/+64Next achievement: finding more than 10 people online on the 360 version.

- Sornos, on 01/12/2008, -1/+39Personally, I think the syringe gun is strong enough as it is, people are very often taken off guard by it. Personally, I think some fire proofing is in order. Damn Pyros.
- XXXXXXXXXXXXXX, on 01/12/2008, -5/+42I AM THE UBERMENSCH
- DetpackJump, on 01/12/2008, -1/+36Buy the PC version and you'll see why.
- groceryheist, on 01/12/2008, -8/+38Halo 3
XBOX gamers are fanboys. - EuphopiaB, on 01/12/2008, -1/+31Are you kidding? That gun is already deadly enough. All it takes is good practice with getting it on target and it is brutal.
- mark076h, on 01/12/2008, -9/+39it needs more than 2 new maps
- inactive, on 01/12/2008, -4/+30Because the 360 sucks for Orange box?
The lack of custom maps and dedicated servers turned many away. Plus the 360 also has Halo 3 and CoD 4 to compete with. - emjaymj, on 01/12/2008, -1/+27To be honest I was unhappy with the lack of CTF before playing TF2 but after playing it, I think they made the right call with focusing on CP maps.
- inactive, on 01/12/2008, -1/+26Erectin' a dispencer.
- inactive, on 01/12/2008, -1/+26Hell yes finally. I hope this is just the beginning of a new wave.
And yes i love badlands, this is gonna be sweeeett. But what is they are only releasing medic achievements, everyone is gonnna play medic and ***** things over. They should release all class achievements at the same time. - Kurse, on 01/12/2008, -1/+26I think the last thing TF2 needs is MORE grenades.
- BodomChild16, on 01/12/2008, -0/+23I'm still quivering in pain from the last time i heard "Large Scale Gameplay Shift"
R.I.P. Star Wars Galaxies =( - TenebrousX, on 01/12/2008, -1/+21as it should be - he's the medic
- inactive, on 01/12/2008, -0/+18Team Fortress 2 owns call of duty 4, call of duty 4 is good but its nothing new. I mean whos played a game with pixar quality graphics?
- asdfrewq, on 01/12/2008, -0/+18If you don't care for achievements, don't pay any attention to them. They have no real affect on gameplay anyway, and you'll probably get all the original ones within a week of owning the game.
TF2 is a great game and, if anything, it's a little too faithful to TFC. - relaxeder, on 04/17/2009, -0/+18Microsoft doesn't have a say in it, Valve made the decision to implement Steam achievements and it seems like a lot of people are liking them so far. I think they're fun to collect. They definitely add a replayability factor to Portal and Episode Two.
- relaxeder, on 04/17/2009, -1/+19Competitive and "hardcore" gaming is a joke. I don't think Valve cares about that anyway, unless it effects the vast majority of their player base.
- BugMeNot2, on 01/12/2008, -0/+18The Demoman was nerfed (no pipe bomb explosion on contact after the first bounce), Sniper nerfed slightly (takes a little longer to shoot another shot), Pyro buffed (flame physics changed), and... I think that's about it.
The changes were made for the better, though. TF2 = multiplayer game of the year. - Archaic1, on 01/12/2008, -2/+19yeah, those 5 servers still running must really be eating up all your time
- dn11, on 01/12/2008, -0/+17http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=29RE0blCV84
- KRNpro, on 01/12/2008, -0/+17You can still snipe quite accurately with the sniper on almost all the maps. They changed spy because an exploit allowed people to attack and their disguise stayed the same. Medic still rocks. "Professional" and hardcore gamers can deal with the changes easily.

- groceryheist, on 01/12/2008, -3/+19So Get a JOB MORAN
- kickcows, on 01/12/2008, -0/+13Honestly, have you ever been disappointed by Valve?
(besides taking years to release amazing games?)
I didn't think so. - ryancxx, on 01/12/2008, -0/+13I actually found it to be the most useful secondary weapon in the game.
- Protoss, on 01/12/2008, -1/+14I really hope that Large Scale Gameplay Change isn't anything like the CS:Source economy thing...
- TKardinal, on 01/12/2008, -0/+12You're right. That's why there's about 250 community-made maps out there. Even if 95% of them are unplayable, that's a good 8-10 that are good. And they are. Try out Snowfort, Toyfort, Stronghold, Warpath, and Labor for a start.
- thecrazyd, on 01/12/2008, -1/+12Technically, yes, but you know the healing gun is the most used.
- YZBot, on 01/12/2008, -2/+13There are TONS of community made maps out there.
- Fortyseven, on 01/12/2008, -2/+13For some reason I was never really a big fan of CP-style gameplay before TF2, but I've grown to enjoy it, largely thanks to the charisma and polish the game possesses (and, perhaps, the aforementioned lack of alternatives? :))
- RobotDog, on 01/12/2008, -1/+12OMG they make games harder by taking out the things that (hardcore) gamers exploited, lets all boycott valve, better yet if u see an employee throw rocks at him in protest. :P
- simonwright, on 01/12/2008, -2/+12Bah! CTF without jet pack is no true CTF. Tribes > all ;)
- Munky88, on 01/12/2008, -0/+10It's the medics primary weapon.
- relaxeder, on 04/17/2009, -1/+11Cool news, I wonder if the new achievements for the medic are just the first of several for the other classes.
I'd like to see some achievements for HL2 and Episode One as well. - dn11, on 01/12/2008, -2/+12can i get a freakin pyro over here!?
- gamerzworld, on 01/12/2008, -0/+10Wong. EA is the one who ported the games to the PS3. That's why the PC and 360 versions are great but the PS3 version isn't so great.
- asdfrewq, on 01/12/2008, -0/+10I think they're trying to encourage people to play the medic class more.
Anyone who's played a good deal of TF2 should know that medics make or break teams. I personally find it one of the more enjoyable classes to play, particularly if I can team up with a skilled demoman or pyro. Not only that, but I find them extremely fun to play against also. when a team begins to rely on their medics, if you can focus on taking them out while holding off their attacking classes, the team will fall apart like a house of cards. There's nothing more satisfying than backstabbing a medic, cloaking, then watching the heavy he was healing fall in a hail of bullets. Bliss. :) - KRNpro, on 01/12/2008, -0/+9/scout voice
- JudgeMonkey, on 01/12/2008, -0/+9I loved infecting people in TFC, watching them run into their own respawn and spreading the disease. Yet. I guess the attack and forget is really the job of the pyro now. Wonder what it'll be.
- ripple123, on 01/12/2008, -0/+9That is not medicine
- Dochtuir, on 01/12/2008, -2/+10Don't forget Lazytown
- projecktzero, on 01/12/2008, -1/+9Spy's sappin' my sandwich!
- eliburford, on 01/12/2008, -2/+10Would be nice to be able to poison bad guys with the medic like in TFC ;)
One more thing... bonesaw FTW. -
