- TheStooge1, on 10/30/2009, -4/+20No, you shouldn't leave wow for this... but I bet we can think of 100 reasons you SHOULD leave wow.
1. To some day get laid by a real person. - SlayerConman, on 10/30/2009, -0/+93. To not have your only interactions be with 12 year olds who think it is comic genius to dance on a mailbox in their underwear.
- kolding, on 10/29/2009, -4/+13should i leave wow for this? it looks very impressive
- OMGscience, on 10/30/2009, -3/+11If you can't control yourself over a video game you need some serious help.
- cawfee, on 10/30/2009, -0/+84. To not spend your nights with 9 / 24 other people adding up numbers to make bigger numbers for hours on end, not being able to walk away from your computer because "omg teh raid needs me"
- danwallace, on 10/30/2009, -1/+92. To discover a healthier diet than Cheetos and Mountain Dew.
- AlyxVance, on 10/29/2009, -7/+14meh
- ManUnitdFan, on 10/30/2009, -0/+75. Because when you look back at your life someday, winning a roll on the Sword of Engulfing Darkness will rank just below finding a nickel on the sidewalk when you were 7.
- zantos420, on 10/30/2009, -0/+6I've been playing for a few months now (huge LOTR fan as well) and I must say the story line is great. Walking around in a Tolkien environment is pretty cool and I'd definitely suggest at least giving it a try. That being said, my main gripe is a lot of quests have you running back and forth. As for the epic quests (follows the story line), it's a lot of fun.
- daEvan, on 10/30/2009, -8/+12Man, ***** MMO's.
- SlayerConman, on 10/30/2009, -1/+4They are responsible for not giving us the KOTOR 3 that we actually wanted. Grab your torches and head to MMO castle for if we don't stop them they will make off with your children and your other precious IPs.
- Mujokan, on 10/30/2009, -0/+3Haven't played the game, but I have to say as a massive LOTR nerd I'd have loved to have been involved in the development. The war in Mirkwood sounded pretty cool in the books. Hope they have a scene of Thranduil and Galadriel in the ruins of Dol Guldur. Another good one might be the battle at the Lonely Mountain, when Dain dies.
- tehWhisp, on 11/02/2009, -0/+3Ok, so I'm not crazy. I have really high quality / expensive headphones on and when I heard the sound skip I was freaking out thinking it was my headphones.
- KrashTheMighty, on 10/31/2009, -0/+3typical "this is older so it has to be better" mentality
UO was a ***** PK griefer playground - dbixler, on 10/30/2009, -2/+4Some of the best graphics I've seen in any MMORPG... too bad the game play couldn't be at the same caliber. While it had some unique aspects, like playing music and such, it took me just a few weeks to lose interest (while I've been playing WoW since beta). Then again, I haven't played LOTRO since the initial release, so maybe the expansion added new aspects to the game that are worth going back for.
- inactive, on 10/30/2009, -1/+3You'll have to find a good attorney and make sure the bitch gets only 5-10%
- elmohoo, on 10/30/2009, -3/+5I haven't played any other MMOs, and I play Lotro casually, but the environment, feel and gameplay are really compelling. I'm excited about the expansion.
- Mujokan, on 10/30/2009, -1/+3lol but buried.
- Macberto, on 10/30/2009, -1/+2I liked the minstrel/bard concept and also those group combos that require each party member to do a certain move in order to activate the special move/spell/buff. I didn't like the fact that it was pretty much quest after quest after quest after quest to gain average xp, but it was even slower xp if you just wanted to explore and kill random mobs.
- generalalcazar, on 10/31/2009, -1/+2It is fun to play. But, no need to get bent about it.
- ltethe, on 10/30/2009, -2/+3Good god this looks lame.
- Cybrwolf, on 10/31/2009, -1/+2If the audio quality of that trailer is any indicator of the quality of the game, then this is going to be one big, cracking, popping, piece O' *****!
- rmxz, on 10/30/2009, -1/+2Could always try it (both LotR and real life) and see which one(s) you like better instead of asking Digg what you should do.
My guess is that all three of them are fun when used in moderation; and all three of them suck if you take them too seriously. - DarthVolta, on 10/30/2009, -0/+1I've got news for you.
If you play WoW, even in moderation, you're competing with introverts. - Joemanji, on 10/30/2009, -3/+4My friends still blame me for my roommate getting addicted to WoW and dropping out of college.
But let's be serious, do you blame a drug dealer for getting kids addicted to- aw *****, nevermind. - ZoomBoy, on 10/31/2009, -1/+26. Your God is not Leeroy Jenkins.
- Locupleto, on 10/30/2009, -2/+2Except that it is very well done with few bugs, quite deep and epic.
- JohnEskandarian, on 10/30/2009, -7/+7Leave WoW for real life. Up until a few months ago, I was extremely addicted. Had the hard mode drakes (10 and 25m), paladin and rogue in 8.5, furious holy gear, shaman in 7.5. I quit the patch that tier 9 came out, and it was the best thing I have ever done. It was fine the first month, then I started having dreams about it. That was pretty scary. Recently though, I met this girl, and I just gotta say rl > WoW.
- nickert0n, on 10/30/2009, -1/+1I'll stick to Demon Soul's for my RPG fix.
Here's why:
http://kotaku.com/5392920/in-praise-of-hard-games - DulcetTone, on 10/30/2009, -1/+1Looks like WoW after a charmectomy.
- Caergrim, on 10/30/2009, -1/+1The last good MMORPG was Ultima Online prior to the Age of Shadows. It was the only MMORPG of depth and complexity.
- seanthebond, on 10/31/2009, -1/+1Clever,
- Locupleto, on 10/30/2009, -3/+2LotRo is a great MMO and I recommend it to any MMO players out there.
Though I'll be honest, I'm not impressed with this trailer.
I am however looking forward to the expansion. - Caergrim, on 10/30/2009, -8/+6Looks like your typical MMORPG to me. No new ground has been broken here.
- Leering1, on 10/30/2009, -5/+3#1 reason to play Lotro over other MMOs...the sheeple haven't arrived...yet
- ScannerMobs, on 10/30/2009, -8/+4LOTR & the Siege of Nothing more like
- sh0rtstop00, on 10/30/2009, -8/+4what the *****?
- dbhalla, on 10/30/2009, -12/+5It looks like every other MMORPG
- BigBambino, on 10/30/2009, -9/+1I love the hardcore herms that play their lives away in these games thinking it will lead to something substantial.
I play WoW, but in moderation. I have no desire to compete with introverts. - Jrr6415sun, on 10/30/2009, -11/+3i have a lifetime subscription to this game and it ***** blows, don't buy this, it's SPAM
look how it says, "the epic conclusion to volume II Mines of Moria"
I paid for Mines of Moria and now they're making me pay again for the conclusion to something I already bought! seriously ***** this company. - inactive, on 10/30/2009, -10/+1This is why I have never given LOTRO a chance. The lore is so gay.

What is Digg?
