Gears Of War MMO-Clone Finally Coming To America

  • Lunarbunny, on 04/02/2009, -0/+4There seem to be a lot of non-MMO games from Korea that get slapped with the label simply because they have monolithic lobby/matchmaking servers (they're all peer to peer because that's actually viable in Korea, but they lag like hell everywhere else).

    Ok Vegas was good, gears of war was decent once you got past the "made so gimps will blindly buy" stuff, but halo 3 and masterpiece in the same sentence? LOL, fair enough the other 2 are mediocre at best but halo 3? easily the most over rated game ever made. the only reason they never realeased it on PC was because it would have got laughed at!!

    This game does look pretty good, but no point in getting excited over these video since their just that, videos, game may look nothing like that!!

    Emphasis on community, obsessive leveling system, and gear/ money farming.

They also call it an mmo that is far from an mmo just because you level up that means *****.

With an fps you have to rely on reflexes and strategy to stay alive. Huxley has been pushed back HOW many times now?

    Because if you have played any korean game with a "level-up" system you know that your level is more important than any skill you might have at the game and it could possibly take you years to get to a decent level.

  • SoundJudgment, on 04/02/2009, -11/+2I hate third-person (looking down from the sky) MMOs. So disorienting in a fight scene to me. I much prefer the larger 1st-Person perspective most true MMO games have, plus the ability to 'zoom out' the camera with the mouse-wheel to an 'over-the-shoulder view' when desired. The more visual freedom and control with the mouse or keyboard... the better.
