<Local>
Shadow XII > Hello. Just testing your signature radius
Angel Rio > stop it
Shadow XII > Just testing your shields
Angel Rio > seriously, stop.
Angel Rio > OMG! STOP SHOOTING
Shadow XII > Just testing your armor.
Angel Rio > STOP SHOOTING ME DAMMIT
SShadow XII > Just testing your structure.
Angel Rio > OMG
Shadow XII > Just testing your pod.
Angel Rio > WHAT THE ***** WAS THAT FOR?
Shadow XII > You failed the test. Good day.
omgrawr.net - DevinWatson, on 06/08/2009, -0/+37Ummm....so this trailer was released in March and the expansion has been live since June, just saying...

It's a great game though! - zirce, on 06/08/2009, -0/+23If you've ever wanted to get into EVE but haven't now is the time. Apocrypha revamped the whole new player experience, making it a little less daunting to ease into. And then there's Ambulation, the (free) expansion slated for this summer that's going to include the ability to leave your ship as a player character and interact with other players in space stations.
That said, EVE still isn't for everyone.
Also, I like this one better: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=U4yCeGsI2OY - AndrewDB, on 06/08/2009, -0/+22Eve Online, the game with the War and Peace sized tutorial.

Sums it up perfectly. - Gloony, on 06/08/2009, -0/+21I have nothing to say to you.
F1 F2 F3 F4 F5 F6 F7 F8 - Murrabbit, on 06/08/2009, -5/+26The game that dares to depict just how boring space really is.
- blitzkriegpunk, on 06/08/2009, -3/+23I love Eve, but this made me ***** laugh.
- ralphthemagi, on 06/08/2009, -0/+18It's true. Most of the game is spent dicking around, but when you do get to partake in the massive battles... it redefines what you think of when you think of "epic" in terms of video games. It's hard to describe how awesome it is.
- ripple123, on 06/08/2009, -0/+14id make a comment, but im waiting for my sarcastic skill level IIV to finish training
- jedisushi, on 06/08/2009, -0/+14Year after year, Eve is the only MMO - nay, the only game - to which I continually return. There's just nothing like it. Through thick and thin - obsession and long breaks - it's an amazing game, an amazing world, and has one hell of a community/development team behind it.
- dmanmax99, on 06/08/2009, -1/+13EVE is like a beautiful painting. It looks priceless and fantastic, but don't even think about touching it or else you'll be killed.
- artfiend77, on 06/08/2009, -1/+13I started playing EVE about three months ago. Pirates suck, my girlfriend says I'm always angry when I talk about the game, and I don't make time for friends or family anymore. Deep game, but alas, I must uninstall it lest I destroy my whole life.
- Titan615, on 06/08/2009, -1/+13OLD, Apocrypha has been out for a while now. Personally I am waiting for "Walking in Stations" to come out before I start playing EVE again.
- casbboy, on 06/07/2009, -0/+10cool to watch. but no idea what it's about.
- PhoenixReborn, on 06/08/2009, -5/+1510 comments, 100 diggs, and a months old trailer makes it to the front page? Screw you, power diggers.
- tytanium0503, on 06/08/2009, -2/+10eve on digg? This is the part where everyone reminisces about Yahtzee's trial review of the game and chuckles to themself. The complexity and richness found in Eve isn't anywhere near the brainless keymashing WoW or any other mmo is. If you don't like eve and the sandbox experience it offers, grow a brain. One main mistake people make is to come to eve, not join a corp, not pvp, and turn it into wow for themselves
- EnTaroTassadar, on 06/08/2009, -0/+6Having 300+ members online at any given time, all of which willing to warp to your location in a matter of seconds is not cheating. That's how you run a ***** army.
- krasht, on 06/08/2009, -0/+6When will MMOverload ever learn to upload a video, to youtube, with the correct aspect ratio? It's not that difficult.
- nukepuppy, on 06/08/2009, -0/+6learn to group your turrets... just hit one button.
- mt4055, on 06/08/2009, -0/+6I think the actual problem was that no one wanted to associate with you and I can see why
- blitzkriegpunk, on 06/08/2009, -0/+6My fav is still the old trailer with the JunkieXL track.
- AbsurdParadox, on 06/08/2009, -0/+5If you played, and loved Ultima Online, and hate WoW, you will love Eve. Definitely appeals to older-school more hard-core MMOers
- LucasHenderson, on 06/08/2009, -1/+6I love Eve, but I have a complaint. WTF is up with every single solar system, being covered in friggin nebulae? there aren't any where its just you and the stars, there's big ass clouds everywhere..
- Coottie, on 06/08/2009, -0/+5I love playing eve when no other pilots are around. Too bad I suck at PVP and get owned all the time.....so I quit. Seems like you have to roll with a crew all the time or risk getting podded.....either that or I'm just an idiot, which is entirely possible. :/
- SuperStromboli, on 06/08/2009, -0/+5As a wormhole explorer in EVE, I can tell you that those little guys in unknown space can really tear you a new one.
- SuperStromboli, on 06/08/2009, -0/+5True. I've had to do simple addition sometimes but have never had to strain my brain any more than what I do everyday anyway. If you can add/subtract, you can play eve. If you just like pretty pictures and flashy things, then maybe you should try Peggle.
- itlnstln, on 06/08/2009, -0/+4It fixed alot of issues and introduced alot of new missions. not to mention the tier 3 ships! But as always it came with bugs out the ass. However, CCP has done phenomenal amounts of work to correct them and has been very responsive when it comes to reported bugs. This game gets a lot of criticism as being a MMOSC (Massive multiplayer online spreadsheet calculation) but if you can see past that and see that it's just trying to be an accurate representation of an interesting scenario it's a very immersive game that offers a new experiance.
- Salinator, on 06/08/2009, -0/+4dugg for Jumpgate Evolution. I'm looking forward to that game
- SuperStromboli, on 06/08/2009, -1/+5Lol, PC? You're adorable.
- SuperStromboli, on 06/08/2009, -0/+4It was a wormhole opening up.
- tsotha, on 06/08/2009, -0/+4But you won't, will you?
- Locupleto, on 06/08/2009, -1/+5Then don’t be a bodyguard for miners.
EVE has tons more interesting things to do. - reqage, on 06/08/2009, -0/+3Eve is very unforgiving. Only way you can get a head is to get in a good corp with people who know what the hell they are doing. They can guide and tell you what skills you need, ship setups, fund you and teach you game mechanics. Create an character that can fly armor tanking ship (gal or amarr) for a starters.
- MonkeyFit, on 06/08/2009, -0/+3I would never call it WoW. WoW is dumbed down to the point that the only reason I play that game is because my friends play it. If they don't feel like doing anything in WoW with me, then I log into one of my eve accounts.
- manzplan, on 06/07/2009, -2/+5awesome!
- LegendaryFrog, on 06/08/2009, -0/+3EVE isn't very good at setting things in front of you to do. It is very much a sandbox where you make your own fun. Few people involved in the large scale 0.0 alliance warfare would complain about a shortage of things to do.
- mt4055, on 06/08/2009, -0/+3eve-online.com for the free download and the 14-day free trial
- Locupleto, on 06/08/2009, -4/+7EVE is the only MMO that lives up to the potential of what an MMO can be.
- Krissam, on 06/08/2009, -3/+6Eh, Apocrypha was the spring '09 expansion (free as every eve expansion), and went on the live cluster as of march 15th.
But yea, as mentioned earlier in the comments,
Space + Spaceships + Spreadsheets = EvE - EnTaroTassadar, on 06/08/2009, -1/+4Odd, I just barely got back into EVE about a week ago after abandoning it for a few years.
Still boring, but who cares. It's beautiful to just look at. Zooming around through space, the occasional laser, and the soundtrack. - RyanBlueThunder, on 06/08/2009, -0/+3I started playing EVE shortly after Apocrypha was released and have enjoyed it thoroughly. Obviously, it's not the only game I'll play, but it's one of an immense environment, and full of so many options. I still enjoy things on the 360 and PS3. But it is what it is...and I enjoy it. Plus, I can take breaks for a few weeks (for work and other responsibilities) while skills train up!
I've fallen into the PvE path quite nicely...did the typical Kestral-Caracal-Drake path, and am now about skilled up to properly fit and run a Raven (Isk definitely isn't the problem...at least for what I'm looking for, since I've been relatively smart in avoiding losing my ships). Once I start the lvl4s I'll hopefully join a corporation and get into the whole PvP action (start training gunnery and other non-missile skills...) - Deveak, on 06/08/2009, -0/+3i love eve, play daily, i have no life, but i do find the combat to be a tad lacking, pvp is awesome but finding people that actually fight and not in giant fleets on 100v1 is hard, the major issue with he game isn't really the game itself but the players, no one will risk losing anything and get in blobs all the time or hide in high sec. I'm looking forward to jump gate though, if it has half of eves good points and the combat they tout it should be good. the new patch for walking in stations will ruin station camping though, we will be outside freezing our asses of while their inside in the bar drinking and flirting with space floozies!
- DivineMonkey, on 06/08/2009, -1/+4I get my hulk in 2 days, woot!
- MWeather, on 06/09/2009, -0/+2Here's a tip if you're going to try Eve: Never fly a ship you can't afford to get blown up.
- inactive, on 06/08/2009, -0/+2If I had time to devote to an MMO, Eve would be it.
- artfiend77, on 06/08/2009, -0/+2It could be the most boring game like it could be the most exciting game ever, it really depends on how you play.
- LethalGeek, on 06/08/2009, -0/+2I think they JUST started selling physical boxes in store for EVE. My understanding is they're more than happy to let you download the client for 14 days and have (pratically*) full access to the game.
*There are skills way down the tree that can't be trained on a trail account, but they're not things players are going to even can/want to touch during their first 2 weeks of play. - mt4055, on 06/08/2009, -0/+2My corp is finally building an Orca. No more can flippers!
- mt4055, on 06/08/2009, -0/+2I had the same thought the other night. I thought it was just me.
