Those sprites were meant to be viewed from 1st person perspective, but they don't look horrible from overhead isometric view. They need to combine the bestiaries from Diablo and Doom so you have hundreds of types of demons to fight.

- DrRetro, on 03/16/2009, -1/+9Back in '96 or so I was really sick - like, really sick - and I remember one night I had this weird dream where I was playing an isometric version of Doom much like this except it was using the X-COM engine. I remember vividly that the map was a perfect recreation of E2M1. Strange how I remember that still, though that was probably because of the weather that night, but that's another story. Anyhow, very cool, but also a little odd that it's bringing that memory up again.
