- Dereliction, on 10/28/2007, -0/+97Let's hope the surprise isn't SecuROM. That'd be a surprise though!
- PunishedOne, on 10/28/2007, -3/+75I think I speak for all PC gamers:
w00t! - nullvector, on 10/28/2007, -2/+69The full FarCry game, redone in Crysis engine?
- Flashman, on 10/10/2007, -2/+47I hope it comes with a pony. That would be sweet.
- L4WL3RS34L, on 10/10/2007, -15/+56PC gaming > All...
If you disagree, it means your computer sucks.
Just admit it. - inactive, on 10/14/2007, -35/+72Obviously Crysis demo since Halo 3 is just the same thing over and over again.
- bleep1912, on 10/10/2007, -2/+34huge surprise from Crytek."
If the surprise is a Console release, I'm going to hurt someone. - apollomurga, on 10/10/2007, -2/+30My computer will have a Crysis when i attempt to play this game...
- Monolith4, on 10/10/2007, -6/+28"Finally, PC gamers have a reason to look forward to 9-25-07."
What, were they praying to god something important would happen that day...? - Meatball01, on 10/10/2007, -3/+25Bioshock jackass.
- FetalSage, on 10/10/2007, -3/+25How about both? You only have to buy one (Halo 3), the other is a free demo...
- lacronicus, on 10/10/2007, -2/+23Wonder what the surprise is. I hope the wait will be worth it.
- inactive, on 10/26/2007, -1/+20SecuROM protection
- dayvideg, on 10/10/2007, -2/+20perhaps a multiplayer demo?
- L4WL3RS34L, on 10/10/2007, -11/+28The ones digging me down are the ones excited for Halo 3. Do you guys have any good RTS games (Company of Heroes)? How bout an actual fast paced FPS (Quake)? How bout a popular MMO (WoW)? How bout the greatest graphics of all time (Crysis)? No, didn't think so...
- toppgun, on 10/10/2007, -11/+26damnit.... Halo 3, Crysis demo, Halo 3, Crysis demo! which one!?!?!?!?
- jhnewt, on 10/10/2007, -2/+17Is the surprise that the demo will cost money?
- Bara, on 10/10/2007, -2/+16It wasn't funny the first time either.
- mizunoX, on 10/10/2007, -0/+13The big surprise is that Duke Forever has moved development over to the Crysis engine... development pushed back 5 more years.
Wait, that wouldn't be at all surprising. - Ahnteis, on 10/10/2007, -2/+14Halo2 had an ending?
- Blaatmeister, on 10/10/2007, -9/+20Halo 3 because my PC is a piece of ***** and I wasted too much money on other things to afford a new PC. >.>
- Rickler, on 10/14/2007, -4/+15have fun playing with your thumbs
- spudnic, on 10/10/2007, -0/+10^^^ This please
- Casedot, on 10/10/2007, -2/+12this is digg, what's your point?
- MeruFM, on 10/10/2007, -2/+111000?
How the ***** did you build that with just 1000 dollars?
Even just the 8800gtx + Q6600 + 2gb ram costs more than 1000 dollars. 600+300+350...
And that doesn't even include the motherboard, the psu, the cd/dvd/floppy drives, the case itself, sound card (if you have one), the software (unless you pirate), the harddrive, the cpu cooler (if you want to overclock), the ***** monitor, speakers, mouse, keyboard, and everything else i missed...
I know pc prices go down really fast, but there's no point of exaggerating that much. - Ahnteis, on 10/10/2007, -0/+9The article makes it clear that Xbox360 gamers are looking forward to Halo that day. But if you don't read the articles, the headlines CAN be confusing.
- gavroche, on 10/10/2007, -0/+8Maybe they will do what Ubisoft did with Farcry and release crappy versions for consoles.
- inactive, on 10/14/2007, -16/+24Yea, because Halo 3 has all the same weapons, vehicles, enemies, power-ups, maps, campaign levels, controls, UI as the last two.
Ignorance, FTW!!! - L4WL3RS34L, on 10/10/2007, -9/+17$1800??? I have that exact same computer and I spent $1000...did you not build it? Only an idiot wouldn't build a top of the line PC.
- L4WL3RS34L, on 10/10/2007, -0/+8It may not be a great game, but 11 million people spending $15 a month is pretty ***** impressive. It can't be THAT bad if there's THAT many people. Just imagine if there were no monthly fee.
- ThinkRad, on 10/10/2007, -1/+8How about you fail at life?
- Ahnteis, on 10/10/2007, -0/+7How would OpenGL expand their customerbase at all? Simply using OpenGL doesn't magically create a port of the game for other OSes.
- SirNoobius, on 10/10/2007, -0/+7I read an interview in maxpc and the guy said you'll be able to play at max settings with 8800 at 1280X1024
- Ramble, on 10/10/2007, -1/+8Actually I'd argue they get more users. Everyone uses Windows to game, and the game is easily ported to X360.
Plus, development is cheaper since MS provides ebtter developer tools. - kuhlmeye, on 10/10/2007, -0/+6Oh my god, best idea ever.
- Emrtr4, on 10/10/2007, -0/+6Its EA, the biggest multiplatform whore in the gaming world, and its a PC exclusive game, that means "huge surprise is"-Crysis coming to an Xbox 360, PS3, PS2, Xbox, PS1, PSP, Wii, Gamecube, Ngage, and all samsung and LG cell phones near you this holliday season.
- AndyVenus, on 10/10/2007, -0/+6But my gamerscore!
- jlebrech, on 10/10/2007, -0/+6Linux client. :)
- sg7791, on 10/10/2007, -1/+7I wish... But not likely, it's DX based.
- Namco, on 10/10/2007, -2/+8You must work for 2k games... Joe, is that you?
- lacronicus, on 10/10/2007, -0/+6http://www.gamesindustry.biz/content_page.php?aid=27946
"The reason for no consoles is simple: any console development would have deviated from our efforts. It would have distracted us, it would have forced compromises because of memory limitations on those platforms. We'd have to design different levels, and it would have been more difficult to create the sensation of a living world.
So there are no plans to bring Crysis to consoles in future?
The only way I can see Crysis on consoles right now is as a variation of it. And I don't have any plans right now for a variation of Crysis. " - erkokite, on 10/10/2007, -0/+6No, Far Cry 2 is an entirely different game that is in the works by a separate publisher.
- kuhlmeye, on 10/10/2007, -1/+6Unfortunately for non-PC users, some games have already surpassed the current gen systems. None of them would handle it.
- Oniadric, on 10/10/2007, -0/+5Everything I've read states that Crysis will run on machines as old as three years. Not saything that's a huge timeline, but it beats the hell out of having to have an 8800. Sure, people without it won't get the shiny DX10 effects, but I wouldn't upgrade to DX10 / Vista until I've been presented with a game that makes it worth it. Hopefully Crysis will do just that.
- randeepjalli0, on 10/14/2007, -2/+7Guess what else comes out on the 25th? New episodes of House MD!!!! OH YEAHH!!!! (. )( .)
- NeoCortex, on 10/10/2007, -5/+9If Halo 3 is anything like Halo 2, maybe the surprise is you get the ending to Halo 3 with the Crysis demo.
- mattyice11, on 10/10/2007, -0/+4$350 for 2GB? It better have diamond heat spreaders for that price.
- slaystench, on 10/10/2007, -1/+5Crysis, not even close.
- kaelyiesta, on 10/10/2007, -1/+4I want a Llama!
- crossmr, on 10/10/2007, -1/+4yeah but 9-24-7 is still utter *****.
