- uberduger, on 01/07/2009, -6/+40PROTIP: Games with DRM, or programs that are hideously expensive, should be pirated. Nice, inventive and well coded games should be purchased.
Learn the difference guys. - screamokid, on 01/07/2009, -25/+39wheres the free cracked version for us poor americans
- fritzek, on 01/07/2009, -1/+15I was playing demo of crayon physics, but for me, "armadillo run" is much better physics game.
http://www.armadillorun.com/ - uberduger, on 01/07/2009, -1/+13I swear that if this gets pirated to the extent of World of Goo, I'll be so annoyed. If you have a job, $20 is not all that much. I agree with you, Jedicode, people are happy to fork out $5 here and there for stuff like Starbucks or fast food but when it comes to making a $20 purchase, they all whine about not having the funds. *Shakes head*
@ screamokid: Pirate it, but if you play it for more than a couple of hours and don't donate/purchase, karma'll get you. - JedicodeWarrior, on 01/07/2009, -5/+16You can't afford $20? Lay off the Starbucks for a couple days and save it.
- JoaoPe, on 01/07/2009, -0/+11Petri Purho is a must see: http://www.kloonigames.com/blog/
- marciot, on 01/07/2009, -1/+12Here:
http://numptyphysics.garage.maemo.org/ - Chewie67, on 01/07/2009, -3/+13Here's a wild concept -- if you can't afford the $20 for this game, DON'T PLAY IT.
There's no law that says screamokid has the inalienable right to play any game he wants.
If you can't afford it, you don't get it. If you really want it, save your pennies and buy it next month. Don't rip off this poor guy who invested hundreds of hours on this game just because you can't scrape together $20 right this minute.
Grow up. - xiphias08, on 01/07/2009, -0/+9Phun is also a really fun physics game. It's a must try if you are interested in these type of games.
http://www.phunland.com/wiki/Home - jasdf, on 01/07/2009, -0/+9I've been waiting over a year for this to come out.
- inactive, on 01/07/2009, -0/+9For $20 it's well worth it if it is anything like the original.
- lucidapathy, on 01/07/2009, -0/+7If you can't afford $20 to pay to support an independent game developer then you don't deserve to play the game.
- snurfle, on 01/07/2009, -0/+7Ummm... wrong again.
It is not released, at least not at the product's website.
However, I pre-paid for the game long ago.
I realize it is a one-man independent project, and I fully support the man.
"I'd think you cut Petri some slack." WTF does that even mean? My post had nothing to do with him.
I simply pointed out that claiming that the game is released, when it is in fact NOT released, is inaccurate. - daveybee, on 01/07/2009, -2/+9Download the original for free: http://crayon-physics.en.softonic.com/
- snurfle, on 01/07/2009, -3/+10Funny, the crayonphysics.com website still only shows a "pre-order" page.
I'm sure it will be released today as promised, but lekahe seems to have jumped the gun a little bit by saying "Now Crayon Physics Deluxe has finally been released."
Buried as inaccurate. - screamokid, on 01/07/2009, -3/+10thats like saying living in the ghetto is a variation of living in the suburbs. There's guns, hookers, drugs, gangs (of pasty white wankstas or fake brown guidos), and violence to be had in both, but only one of the two is a lower class place to live and by extension, fun.
- U83RMENSCH, on 01/07/2009, -0/+6if it comes to steam I'll buy it
- traxen, on 01/07/2009, -2/+7Simple, I love this game ... and if you do not, shame on you ;)
- djmphoto, on 01/07/2009, -1/+6This game rocks even more if you have a wacom tablet, or a touch screen PC.
- LivelyIvy, on 01/07/2009, -0/+5There's a reason this guy won first place at the Independent Games Festival last year. Go Petri!
- inactive, on 01/07/2009, -0/+5Ooh nice, haz deb!
- luke16, on 01/07/2009, -0/+5My favourite thing about the first crayon physics was the awesome music

enjoy =) - Kayakityak, on 01/07/2009, -0/+5http://fantasticcontraption.com/
- nickels, on 01/07/2009, -0/+4It just came out on the iPhone which is probably why it is gaining new light. Great game, poor framerate issues on the iPhone. It also leaks memory and needs to be restarted a lot. It is a really fun game, and some of the levels are rock hard. There is a level editor, but no way to share created levels with other users.
- reverant, on 01/07/2009, -0/+4I think it might server them to sell the game for $10 instead of 20. I wouldn't pay 20 for that, world of goo, or most other fun indie games - but I would pay $10 for all of them.
That is why I bought Audio surf. I love that game, and I play it all the time, but I still wouldn't have bought it if they were selling it for $20. And I don't have sales numbers, but I think that game did pretty darn well.
Point is, I think the devs would sell a lot more in the long run if they priced it at $10. - Darthyoshiboy, on 01/07/2009, -4/+8That's like saying that the GTA series is just a variation on living in the ghetto. There's guns, hookers, drugs, gangs, and violence to be had in both, but only one of the two is a game and by extension, fun.
- svensksvamp, on 01/08/2009, -0/+3no it's not. you've been messing around with a ripoff.
- zakharm, on 01/07/2009, -0/+3fantastic contraption rocks -- make simple machines and catapults:

http://www.youtube.com/results?search_query=fantas ... - marciot, on 01/07/2009, -0/+3I think the debs are for Maemo only. They do have ports to Ubuntu and RPM based linux distros.
- Eihcet, on 01/07/2009, -1/+4How is this (original one / not deluxe) different from http://magic.pen.fizzlebot.com/ ?
- DanBoodro, on 01/07/2009, -2/+5The one thing I always liked about this game since its release on Jailbroken iPhones was the smooth relaxing music that goes with it.
- jasdf, on 01/07/2009, -0/+3Phun is awesome, I find it particularly good for mechanical engineering students to play with.
- dokbeast7, on 01/07/2009, -0/+3And Crayon Physics is on the iphone/touch as well. It was just released in the appstore.
- Philbert, on 01/07/2009, -0/+3I have 3 wacom tablets. *shrug*
- marciot, on 01/07/2009, -1/+4My friends and I have been playing the open source clone, Numpty Physics: http://numptyphysics.garage.maemo.org . Made for the Nokia internet tablet, but ported to Linux and Windows. It's awesome.
- dk911, on 01/07/2009, -0/+3Guy works for 2 years on this and you can't chip in $20?? Just wait until you have the cash. Such ***** that you'd want it free... This guy deserves the cash.
- Chewie67, on 01/07/2009, -0/+2I really hope they release an official version for the iPhone App Store. This could be a huge seller.
- Noloco, on 01/07/2009, -3/+5No PIRATING BUY IT I WILL!
- adamstead, on 01/07/2009, -0/+2awesome, it's released today today!! coincidence that this is posted to digg yesterday?
- Jakyll, on 01/07/2009, -0/+2and its only $0.99
- vdog, on 01/08/2009, -0/+2Why add DRM to a game that doesn't have any?
Before the Steam fanbois bury me:
I like Steam. It's the best DRM system in use today. But you gotta agree that no DRM beats any DRM. - jameslhwalker, on 01/07/2009, -1/+3shame on you. But really where are they!
- andrewtheart, on 01/07/2009, -1/+3There's a game for the iPod Touch/iPhone called touchPhysics you may want to check out. It's similar if not exactly the same. I wouldn't be surprised if the same guys made it.
- Philbert, on 01/07/2009, -0/+2I believe they have, I'm pretty sure it was mentioned in the TRS iPhone game review yesterday.
- najdorf, on 01/07/2009, -0/+2Cool but I'm still waiting for indie promise rubber ninjas http://youtube.com/watch?v=PS2AYwSV9J0&fmt=18
- 1807, on 01/07/2009, -0/+2THE ROCK....HAS COME BACK!!!!
- kgalbraith, on 01/07/2009, -0/+2I've been waiting for this for well over a year now!!!
Woo-hoo! - jasdf, on 01/07/2009, -0/+2MR=MC
- thelostemperor, on 01/07/2009, -0/+2Self-righteous indignation feels sooo good. Especially for those of us who are completely humorless.
- stereoa, on 01/07/2009, -0/+2It actually is using the SOURCE CODE of MS's Physics Illustrator. I have been yelling about this theft forever, but this game continues to get praise.
