- FoxtrotYankee, on 10/23/2007, -11/+37Oops, sorry...I have an Orange Box full of goodness to play.
- jorgepblank, on 10/15/2007, -0/+17It beats file planet and having to sign up and join a queue, any day.
- valkyries, on 10/12/2007, -0/+15must be a noob didnt finish it all on the 10th :P
- SonOfDad, on 10/13/2007, -0/+13My download was going fine until this hit the front page
- zjordan04, on 10/15/2007, -2/+13Then why are you wasting time commenting on this article?
- mustang460, on 10/13/2007, -1/+11you'll dl faster from filefront, and no need to upload it back i wouldnt bother with a torrent
- ArkAngel06, on 10/29/2007, -1/+10I was never one for WWII games, this is way better.
- Racerx52, on 10/13/2007, -0/+9fyi: Yahoo does a bitchin job of hosting it, 2.2mb/s for me.

http://videogames.yahoo.com/events/call-of-duty-4/ ... - LaSepultura, on 10/29/2007, -3/+11I just played it. Nothing too impressive other than the graphics and the cool anti-tank weapon. I thought I remember CoD2 and CoD3 having more crazy ***** going on. Either way, i'm sure the multiplayer will be awesome.
Also, I got 1.2megs down from Filefront.

- slinky317, on 10/13/2007, -0/+6I have an 8800 GTS with a Pentium D 3.0 and 2g of RAM. Game runs super-smooth with everything cranked. Great optimization! Stunning visuals. Gameplay is decent but everything feels very, very scripted. Only thing I didn't like about it was the default 65 (wtf!) degree FOV, but once I figured out how to raise it to 90 in the console (sv_cheats 1, cg_fov 90) I was much happier.
- danceparty, on 10/13/2007, -0/+5It is intense. There's so much going on..super crazy. I have a 7800GS with an Athlon64 3000+ (1.8ghz) and I can only run it at 8x6, but with 2xAA and all details turned down. I could turn of 2xAA for more speed, but it looks really ugly if I do that. I guess it's time to upgrade.
- BabyWookie, on 10/29/2007, -0/+5Who the hell are you fighting in the demo, any way? I personally like to have a reason as to why I am blowing people away in my games. This generic Middle East setting, not based on any reality, kind of sucks. The ***** Gulf wars and the Chechen wars would have made perfect real life settings for this game, so why the imaginary scenarios? Imagine a level, where you play as one of the Russian Alpha Spetsnaz, storming the Beslan school, where the Chechens held a thousand kids hostage? Imagine the intensity of the chaos as the school gym blows up and you rush in, as dozens of kids rush towards you. The old CoDs covered the Omaha Beach Landing and the Volga crossing in Stalingrad, so why does the "modern combat" version have to resort to generic scenarios? I think that IW are pussies for this.
- jimmyjones, on 10/12/2007, -1/+6while shooting the tanks on the bridge, did anyone else think "Where the hell is that missile going?"
- ArkAngel06, on 10/12/2007, -0/+5It sucks at searching for things, but if its a direct link, why hate it? No wait, and super fast servers.
- Philluminati, on 10/13/2007, -0/+5RAM: 512MB RAM (768MB for Windows Vista)
lol - inactive, on 10/19/2007, -1/+6I have a 7800 GT and an AMD 3500+, and I'm able to run it at max resolution and AA setting. I can also run WoW and watch porn and surf digg, all while playing this game. Oh, and I also got about 9,135,120 Mbps download speed. Oh, and my dad can beat up your dad.
- Dracusis, on 10/12/2007, -0/+5Do we finally have a successor to Ghost Recon for the PC or is all arcadey like all the other FPS games?
- BxxxD, on 10/19/2007, -3/+8Pirate Bay Torrent:
http://thepiratebay.org/tor/3838465/Call_of_Duty_4 ... - ChuckIT, on 10/15/2007, -0/+4okay just got done with the demo. immersive, intense, flows, sensory overload, saving private ryan every corner, runs smooth with every bit cranked up. only thing i thought was cheesy were the attack choppers movements and propellers.
- xXShadowstormXx, on 10/12/2007, -2/+6Dude. TMI.
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -1/+4Here are some screens I took:
http://www.maj.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?f=158071
Running an AMD FX-62 and 8800 GTX. - ren1999, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3I downloaded the demo and just finished playing it. The graphics are nice. The gameplay is smooth.
- inactive, on 10/14/2007, -0/+3not sure if your asking about the Call of Duty game play but I've always felts the series has always had a very realistic and intense feel to it, as compared to the MoH series which is very arcadey.
- ArkAngel06, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3Why wouldn't you? its faster and simpler....I downloaded from filefront at 1.4mb per second.
- dshah, on 10/13/2007, -1/+4COD 2 Demo was much better than COD 4 Demo. (I feel its going to be same with rest of game).
COD 2 WW2 Guns were much more real than the ones in COD4 - Gerikes, on 10/12/2007, -1/+4Another day, another FPS. But this one has better graphics than the last.
- BabyWookie, on 10/13/2007, -1/+4Agreed.
- inactive, on 10/13/2007, -0/+31.5 gigs for a single 1 player map that I will delete 30 minutes later? No thanks.
Give us a multiplayer demo! - inactive, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3I couldn't find the tanks. I keep dying before locating them. So I gave up and quit the game, lol.
- Kektain, on 10/14/2007, -0/+2Call of Duty realistic...lol.
Haven't played it yet, but if it's anything like the last three CoDs, you won't find a Ghost Recon/Rainbow Six here. Fun, undeniably, but not realistic. - Rosco, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2No, this one is DirectX, just like CoD2. And, it ran great on my mid range system, very impressive.
- IndigoMoss, on 10/14/2007, -0/+2When the hell was the last time you upgraded man? When I bought my first computer in 2003 I had a better video card than that.
- jorgepblank, on 10/12/2007, -1/+3On wine? wow, sweet, I was ready to laugh at damentz, wine sure has come a long way. I applaud the wine developers and contributors.
- Dustmuffins, on 10/13/2007, -0/+2no AA?
- King0007, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2Yeah I thought that weapon was wierd , it was cool that it locked on, but you don't really see anything. I agree
- BabyWookie, on 10/13/2007, -0/+2Uh... We weren't complaining about the setting.
- BabyWookie, on 11/12/2007, -0/+2They are feel like airsofts. Ok, granted, I have shot 5.56 weapons and they DO feel like BB guns, but ***** like SVD or G4 has a lot more kick to it.
- gdgi, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2the link in the main article title isn't correct. buried as innaccurate - also to keep all of the leechers away so i can get a half-decent download rate ;P
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Wow, filefront actually invested in some bandwidth...
700kpbs DL at the moment. - kingkilr, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1It ran well at 1680*1050 (default settings, no AA), with my 6800GT + A64 3400+(single core).
- ArkAngel06, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Just watch for smoke....
Really though, I have a 7600GT, and it played fine surprisingly(on mostly high, and highest resolution)....So you should be able to play on low settings. - jkharris07, on 10/14/2007, -0/+1Very fast download link. Runs amazingly.
- RoshanK, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1I was able to get upto 3.5 Mb/s, but not sure how long it'll last with all the ppl downloading.
- IndigoMoss, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1The name of the engine is Source, just saying.
- Philluminati, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1WHAT THE *****???!??
Diggs original post of the minimum spec listed a GeForce 6200, which I have. Here it's listed as a GeForce 6600. WTF? - lacronicus, on 10/13/2007, -0/+1I was actually pleased that they did that, considering that that is what they're supposed to do. I was disappointed that the BF2 ones didn't do that, even though the real weapon and the description said they did.
- lacronicus, on 10/13/2007, -0/+1All of the weapons in the demo are real... what are you getting at?
