- ForlornHope, on 07/03/2008, -6/+61Dear Blizzard,
If this delays Starcraft 2 in any way, there will be violence.
Do not test me on this point. - Wootstapler, on 07/03/2008, -10/+43Dupe dupe dupe.

How many times can this EXACT SAME STORY show up on Digg's front page? - ytsohptwhere, on 07/02/2008, -1/+30Its obviously World of The Lost Vikings
- Kenelm, on 07/02/2008, -1/+27I'm hoping for something completely new, which has nothing to do with Diablo, StarCraft or Warcraft. Time to put their creative minds onto something new.
- CIAVT, on 07/02/2008, -3/+26World of World of Warcraft looked pretty fun.
- kevisazombie, on 07/02/2008, -7/+30World of Starcraft FTW
- terminalpariah, on 07/03/2008, -0/+14Don't be ridiculous. It's Rock N' Roll Racing Online.
- RoadDoggFL, on 07/02/2008, -1/+14Oh man, a hybrid RTS/FPS(TPS for some units)/RPG MMO would be the *****. I'd pay $15 a month for that.
- NikoK, on 07/03/2008, -2/+13At least the picture for this article is better than the original.
Less QQ More Pew Pew - gforce051, on 07/03/2008, -3/+12I haven't even finished the first MMO yet!
- Bologner, on 07/03/2008, -0/+8[citation needed]
- jmreid, on 07/03/2008, -2/+8He? HE WHAT!? TELL US!
- visitmyblogplz, on 07/03/2008, -3/+9We should all submit this story.
- Slade605, on 07/03/2008, -0/+5It's not ruined because you don't like the game. I'd have to say WoW was the reason I went back and played all the other Warcrafts to get more of the story line.
- Tyrghast, on 07/03/2008, -1/+6That's the sickening thing about them... no matter how hard you want to, you can never finish it. Like hard drugs, the only way to win is to quit!
Or get full T6 and Sunwell epics, or Season 4 Arena gear. - inhaler, on 07/03/2008, -1/+5..until the next expac shows up.
- RST1123, on 07/03/2008, -4/+8Dupe
- iofthestorm, on 07/03/2008, -0/+4Blizzard is plenty creative, using the same settings doesn't mean their games aren't creative, and in any case, their games are always the best so it doesn't really matter what you think. And they support their games well, Starcraft was still receiving patches up till last year, and Warcraft III just got patched yesterday, although the patch seemed to break some stuff.
- matthew26, on 07/03/2008, -0/+3I wonder how it would feel like playing as an Ultralisk...
- Radica1Faith, on 07/03/2008, -0/+3World of Starcraft would make the most sense. It already has a fanbase much like WoW did. However I do think once Starcraft 2, Diablo 3, and Wrath of the Lich King comes out they should eventually work on a new franchise before they turn into Nintendo. I don't want to be playing Diablo 8 and Starcraft Tennis. (Although I'd reluctantly buy it all anyway)
- holyskeleton, on 07/03/2008, -5/+8dugg for pew cat.
- Renfer, on 07/03/2008, -0/+3thats what ive actually they are going to do. the new mmo will have nothing to do with their other franchises
- Sananda, on 07/03/2008, -0/+3MMO2 next generation recipe
Ingredients :
WOW
Diablo
Starcraft
Blend it all for 5 Years, add some cow milk and finally the top secret ingredient Hellgate.
Voilá
P.S. - Whats up with the comment box always going up and down every time i type, its fraking annoying!!!! - equinoxChild, on 07/03/2008, -0/+2World of lolcat!
- theculture, on 07/03/2008, -0/+2Sweet dear jesus lord almighty, I NEED THIS
My life for Aiur! - starkistuna, on 07/03/2008, -0/+2fools if they do that...
they would loose hundreds of thousands of accounts by segmenting their user base like that..
like what happens to counterstrike , when they pushed out source it split the user base down the middle and then players did not get to play with their former teammates/clans left. - ironrex, on 07/03/2008, -0/+2It isn't going to be world of starcraft. Why would they want to cannibalize on their cash cow any more than they already will be with Diablo 3? They want to bring in new customers and get them into a subscription model. say this will be some sort of MMO FPS with RPG elements, similar to Planetside. They might actually use starcraft units. But it certainly wont be WoW game play re-skinned.
- Malarie, on 07/03/2008, -0/+2I dont care if its a fricking golf game. I ma buy it
- jebzaki, on 07/03/2008, -0/+2i don't think it'll work out there would be like 98% zerg on a server and the rest just character alts of other races!
- equinoxChild, on 07/03/2008, -0/+1That would be so unbelievably awesome
- mythicflux, on 07/03/2008, -0/+1All MMO's have an inherent abandonment rate. WoW just has the lowest of all of them. Blizzard is going to balance their user base by running WoW for the next few years then release their new MMO to pull back in the people who've left WoW.
Either that or they would do something radical like tie user accounts from both systems into a single super account. By buying access to WoW you get access to their next MMO at the same time. Or rather by buying a Blizzard MMO account you'd get to play two great games. Since you can only really login to one of the games at any given time they wouldn't really be loosing any money since the demand on their servers would be fairly consistent. They could then cover the initial development cost of the software when you buy the new MMO game (or WoW) at retail (or online). They would have a perfect way to continue making $14.99 from 10 million people (or more people). Given them something new and let them play something they love. - Sugaruss, on 07/03/2008, -0/+1It's funny to see a Blizzard employee spew release dates like that, forgetting the history of each game released by the company.
- mGARANDEUR1, on 07/03/2008, -0/+1It would be amazing to have an MMORPG where a player could customize their goliath the different guns and ammo. It would bring in a crowd who likes RPGs but doesn't like the fantasy story behind warcraft.
- donquixote235, on 07/03/2008, -0/+1I found this interesting chart last night:
http://www.mmogchart.com/Chart11.html
As you can see by the curves, WoW subscriptions are hitting a plateau, and the time is ripe for a next-gen MMO to take the crown. Blizzard is smart to be working on a new one, but if they plan on holding their market share, they shouldn't take TOO long about it. - Magee1205, on 07/04/2008, -0/+1Yeah, that and the crack cocaine fad...
- daengbo, on 07/03/2008, -1/+2Here you go:
http://www.s2games.com/ - JoeViturbo, on 07/04/2008, -0/+1I haven't even finished "Warcraft: Orcs and Humans" yet
- NaziHatinChimp, on 07/04/2008, -1/+2Hey don't hate. I would go for that.
- Feldon, on 07/12/2008, -0/+1Diablo3 is not an MMO
- inactive, on 07/04/2008, -0/+1For the d-bags that dugg this guy down:
http://www.theonion.com/content/video/warcraft_seq ... - lordewoks, on 07/03/2008, -0/+1Infested Terran would definitely be the best! Hilarity ensues!
- RoadDoggFL, on 07/04/2008, -0/+1Which is EXACTLY what I've been dying for since I first played StarCraft.
- tpfaff, on 07/03/2008, -0/+1So you want the same gameplay with new models and areas and have them slap the world of starcraft title on it, because that's what you'll get. No way they'll stray from the success of WoW
- lithera, on 07/03/2008, -0/+1Blasphemy you heathen!!!

Yeah I don't see the news. - ry4nsm1th, on 07/04/2008, -0/+1Can they let me finish college and get established with a job before they are released? :(
- VelvetoneFusion, on 07/03/2008, -2/+2Aww, dude, I can't wait for "int"!
