- WunderTroll, on 11/10/2009, -8/+79Where the ***** is my D3?
- shadow450, on 11/10/2009, -0/+28My guess is that they're having balancing issues which is extremely hard to do with 3 completely different types of races. I'd rather have a great game later than a ***** one now.
- Fuzi, on 11/10/2009, -1/+26Check out torchlight! It's keeping me busy on the wait for Diablo 3.
http://www.torchlightgame.com/ - Liam000, on 11/10/2009, -1/+26i still have my 5 dollar deposit at gamestop since 2007.
this is bs. - shadow450, on 11/10/2009, -5/+29Even though they've pushed this game back so much, I'm fine with it. There's a ***** ton of good games coming out now to keep me occupied, plus I want SC2 to be at its fullest potential. Keep the good games coming.
- MaxMWood, on 11/10/2009, -1/+25Get www.torchlightgame.com until Diablo 3 comes out. I've been playing it whenever I have some free time and it's brilliant.
- Slashered, on 11/10/2009, -2/+22This is Blizzard. They've always had the motto that they will release a game when it's done. I don't know why anyone expected this to be any different, or wanted it to be any different either. They can take whatever time they need to make Starcraft 2 the best game possible.
- ErrorLoading, on 11/10/2009, -0/+16I want this game to be good enough to still be playing it in 2019. So it's gotta have at least 2 years of sustainability.
- TrainByte, on 11/10/2009, -2/+16It looks like they forgoing the Zerg Rush tactic.
- mothy, on 11/10/2009, -5/+18Sounds like another Duke Nukem story
- googooly, on 11/10/2009, -0/+13A good example of rushed game is the recent game 'Painkiller: Resurrection"
- Simssega, on 11/10/2009, -3/+16Does anyone care anymore about these updates? Let me know when the games on the shelf...I don't even want to know the release date.
- DarQraven, on 11/10/2009, -3/+15Lol!
Scarcraft 2 is "old school", yet a hack 'n slash isn't?
Try again. :) - christianw, on 11/10/2009, -0/+12at least 2 years away. minimum. possibly 3
- tonychenyj, on 11/10/2009, -0/+11I need my Diablo 3 right now!!!! Can't wait any longer.
- ell0bo, on 11/10/2009, -0/+10I'm gonna go with everyone and say you need to check out torchlight. It's so good it's almost depressing, because all I wish is that it had multiplayer support, otherwise it'd be amazing. I love the graphics, and the game plays on older systems. If D3 has the same style of game play, hey Blizzard the pet idea was great... take note, I'm going to accept that I am just not meant to have a social life, or ever get laid again.
- thebullisred, on 11/10/2009, -0/+10peckers
- jfitz369, on 11/10/2009, -2/+12At this point I'd settle for them just revamping the graphics on SC1. I'm tired of waiting...
- aftertheburial, on 11/10/2009, -2/+12Lag.
aftertheburial has changed his network to extremely high latency.
Hurry up Blizzard kthx - ell0bo, on 11/10/2009, -0/+10well... it's made by the same guys just at a different company...
- nuketrap, on 11/10/2009, -0/+9It's not brilliant, it's ***** brilliant... Plus the music is so similar to Diablo 2...
- fiv3isaliv3, on 11/10/2009, -0/+9I still have Duke Nukem Forever reserved.
- TonyTheTerrible, on 11/10/2009, -3/+11WoW is the reason we aren't playing Diablo 3 and the latest expansion for SC2 this very moment. ***** you, WoW.
- puma, on 11/10/2009, -0/+8By the time this game is released their fan base is going to be ***** retired..
- ell0bo, on 11/10/2009, -1/+8naw dude, trust me. For the first few years out of college... all you do is work, drink, and play video games. Not much really changed for me after college other then I don't get laid like I used to (I can't seem to meet girls in this town) and now I have more money to have fun.
- PlasticHotDog, on 11/10/2009, -1/+7LOL
- PlasticHotDog, on 11/10/2009, -0/+6It's gamestop's fault for offering it so early, not Blizzards :P
- xster, on 11/10/2009, -1/+7About 10 years late...
- Imissnaptime, on 11/10/2009, -2/+8Did everyone hear that? That's the sound of thousands of Koreans squealing with joy and then cutting themselves.
- tugcow80, on 11/10/2009, -0/+6When has blizzard released something on time? (other than maybe some WoW stuff recently)
When has the wait not been worth it? - Kungfumantis239, on 11/10/2009, -0/+5All the Bnet kiddies just crit their pants.
- ironrex, on 11/10/2009, -1/+6You know what really grinds my gears? This is a BETA we're talking about here, not the full release. Some comments are saying they should "wait until the game is done", as Blizzard claims they will do. But this is for the BETA, this is so people can help to make the game done!!! The game can have bugs, and flaws, and imbalances, that's what beta players expect.
I played this game, several matches as Terran and Toss at an exhibition in Boston 1.5 YEARS AGO. If the game was playable then, how can it possibly take 2 YEARS to make it to BETA. It's frustrating and it should be embarrassing for Blizzard, but with their mountains of money they don't feel any urgency whatsoever. - cJw314, on 11/10/2009, -0/+5"the next Crysis" /vomit
There are more than enough shooters out there; there are entirely too few quality RTS games. Considering it's place in the WGC and tournament play, I'm pretty sure Blizz is going to make damned sure it's worth the release and not in need of a patch when it goes gold. - duckferret, on 11/10/2009, -2/+7It should be great in 2019, it'll only be a couple of years old.
- doomestic, on 11/10/2009, -0/+5For a game that will probably be played for the next 15 years on Multiplayer, I say they should take their time.
- Codik, on 11/10/2009, -0/+4Ghost was never released. I'm guessing because it did not meet the quality requirements of Blizzard.
- EliteBeat, on 11/10/2009, -2/+6I'd rather d3
- J0hnnyBlaze, on 11/10/2009, -0/+4I heard this game is coming out the same day as Dr. Dre's "Detox" album
- JoeNaguib, on 11/10/2009, -3/+7ABOUT ***** TIME!
- HantuDuppy, on 11/10/2009, -4/+8No LAN, don't care.
- ironrex, on 11/10/2009, -0/+4The creaters of torchlight have said they just wanted to put something out there quickly. They have something mulitplayer in mind that they'll begin working on now, if they haven't already.
- TechnoRabbit, on 11/10/2009, -0/+4More than that, Diablo is a roguelike, one of the oldest styles of games.
- Codik, on 11/10/2009, -1/+5Blizzard is consistent. I don't think they've ever released a product that did not take years to develop and was behind by a couple of years in terms of technology, but an instant classic in terms of game play and sheer fun.
- mulock, on 11/10/2009, -6/+9Blizzard isn't the Blizzard we all know and remember. They have basically turned into a support frame for WoW. They have admitted several times that a large part of delays are because of taking talent away from SC2 and throwing it at wow. What seems a little absurd to me, is that this is starcraft... they have had the engine developed for about three+ years now.... they are only releasing one campaign, and they have stated they havn't even begun work on the other two..... Balancing doesn't take an entire year... this game has been playable with all factions/races for over a year since they started releasing battle reports. Enough is enough, and you can't keep making excuses for it. If they intend to push it back to holiday 2010 which is what it is sounding like, they better take the time and put lan back in :).
- rgemmell, on 11/10/2009, -0/+3lol, sure, Ill take this bet, who wants in, 20 bucks
- chris0374, on 11/10/2009, -1/+4yea right. bet they'll delay the beta again next year.
- nedreid, on 11/10/2009, -0/+3Don't forget this is only the first installment of 3!....and Torchlight is a lot of fun and from the creators of D2
- tugcow80, on 11/10/2009, -1/+4They are Blizzard. If they develop it. People will buy it.
Those who had job in the SC era are just going to be playing SC2 with their kids. - 2Bnor2B, on 11/11/2009, -0/+3Torchlight is an awesome single player game but I think they are making a big mistake in their desire to take it down the MMO route. The site is full of people begging for an expansion offering traditional multiplayer support. They got in an arrangement with Perfect World to make the MMO free to play and sell virtual items. It's sad because Torchlight with multiplayer has so much to offer even after D3 comes out. Otherwise it will probably suffer the same slow death of other MMOs.
- cJw314, on 11/10/2009, -1/+4I'd agree that the typical sequel sales momentum is gone, but the "target demographic" for SC2 is still quite alive and kicking - and now actually able of buying the damned game - and an upgrade for it.
The "3 products" is misleading; learn your ***** before you start spouting. The 2 expansions are planned - but those are expansions and the campaigns of the 2nd and 3rd races. The game will be completely playable without the XPs.
